Loyal to its parent company, Rothana Industrial Engineering Services works for both the parent company and on projects given to it by the current occupying government. It is primarily overseen by Fiolette's grandson Arthur as his first big assignment with his grandmother's company. It serves to focus on other technologies, and engineering research not already covered by one of its sibling corporations. If so, it will undertake the more militaristic aspects of that project. It also serves to expedite research on crucial projects if covered by another sibling corporation.

Fiolette ensured that the Confederacy marched onto Rothana. Under the guise of aiding the CIS to gain Rothan Heavy Engineering, she and Arthur secured the old company. In truth, Fiolette and her grandson took over the company while those who wished were sent to work for Kuat Drive Yards, the original parent company of the ages-old engineering company. Soon after the planet came under the banner of the CIS. Fiolette sent negotiators to work out a deal and contract for Rothana. Rothana Industrial Engineering Services was renewed, mostly to serve the needs of the ever-growing Primo Victorian Enterprises and its front-facing company, Primo Victorian Shipwright.
