GENDER: Female
HEIGHT: 5'9"
WEIGHT: 9st
EYES: Lavender

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Strengths
Empathy: A powerful empath whose skill has only grown with passing time, Rosa can read the emotions of those around her, aiding her in diplomacy and giving her warning to a shift in moods that could lead to dangerous results.
Psychometry: Gifted from a young age, Rosa can use her psychometry to help discover the unknown. This gives her a great advantage when trying to recover and rebuild old Jedi Temples. She can also use it on people though her empathy makes her dislike using it like this. She’s suffered enough on her own without taking on board the suffering of others.
Mentalist: Her time as a Sith has granted her with more powerful mental attacks, meaning she can avoid using her saber, opting instead to cripple her opponents rather than kill them which is much more in keeping with the Jedi code.
Healer: Her ability to heal others as well as herself can make her a deadly as well as helpful. She is able to heal herself at great speed where minor wounds are concerned, allowing her to take more hits in a fight.
Weaknesses
Demons: Rosa’s dark past forever haunts her, she suffers badly from nightmares and mild PTSD which often forces her back into solitude for fear of lashing out at those around her.
Hungry: While she no longer feels the hunger the she did as Layil, there is potential for her to fall back into her dark ways should she come across the power again.
Telekinesis: This power has never been her strongest. Beyond the most basic of uses i.e. retrieving a stolen lightsaber. Rosa’s ability with TK is poor.

BIOGRAPHY

Born to a Jedi Master Gareth Mazhar and Senator of Kuat, Sumati Mazhar, Rosa was given the choice of which path she wanted to follow from a young age. She received a small amount of training from her father learning more about sense powers that anything else and her mother taught her how to be a diplomat. Combat never interested her though her father insisted that she learnt how to defend herself in both close quarters combat and with blaster, but she was not a fighter and as such she followed her mother’s footsteps into politics.

She started her career as an assistant for a member of the interspecies advisory committee, but with her natural force empathy and high attention to detail, as well as her uncanny way with words she was quickly risen to a full member. Rosa adored solving problems and became a well esteemed member, she had her eyes on heading up the committee but it was a role that would take time to gain.

Over seven years she built good rapport with various members of the senate and the Jedi as well as becoming recognised by leaders across the galaxy, not always in good light however. Rumours of the Head of SIAC retiring showed promise for Rosa to seat herself in the role she desired.

While dealing with a conflict between the Aargau and Balmorra, Rosa tipped a vote that ruled in favour of Aargau despite numerous attempts to sway her. Shortly after this ruling, both her parents were assassinated, and try as she might Rosa could find no evidence to link it to Balmorra though she was certain the order came from them.

Enraged and struggling with the loss of her family, Rosa withdrew from the SIAC and disappeared from the public eye, returning to her home on Kuat. After three years of rereading reports and having the case investigated privately she still found herself without closure. Her parents were gone and she could do nothing to bring justice to those who had killed them.

Afraid of becoming lost in her investigations, she reached out to the only people she knew that could help her find peace; The Jedi Council. There she met Darron Wraith, an old friend of her fathers that had gone missing when Rosa was a child. Frozen carbonite for years, he'd been found, released and returned to the Order. He took Rosa on as his Padawan, helping her discover her natural gift with psychometry and learning how to shut out other people's emotions to better focus on her own. The relationship between Padawan and Master threatened to blossom into something more, but for fear of judgement both kept their feelings to themselves.

After months of training, Rosa climbed to the rank of knight, shortly before Omni struck and Darron and she let go of their fear and allowed themselves some enjoyment, their relationship blossoming as it was bound too. When the grandmaster Teferi was killed in an Mandalorian war with the sith, Darron rose to Grandmaster and they became more open to others about their relationship. Omni rose from the darkness and plunged the galaxy into Chaos. It was at this time that Rosa first met Seroth Ur-Rahn and took him as her padawan. The demand for capable warriors saw him fast tracked to knighthood and joining the front lines. The battle for Cato Neimoidia left her apprentice questioning the Order’s part in the war and it was a heavy heart that she watched him leave.

Rosa remained, with her partner and with the Order, supporting Darron’s decisions to take the war to the Sith. The war, and Darron’s duties as Grandmaster kept the pair apart as much as they were together, but they made the most of what they got and before long Rosa had fallen pregnant. In response to the news, Darron proposed to her. Exhilarated at the prospect of becoming a family, they made haste to pull Rosa from the front lines and assign her to more peaceful missions. However, the threat of her and the child being used against Darron meant they had to keep it between themselves. However, with the Order stretched thin, it became near impossible to keep Rosa out of direct harms way.

The Battle Of Roche brought Rosa back to the front lines. Instructing her to remain with the Teferi, Darron dove into the heart of the battle to fight Ashin. Rosa, unable to simply stand by took it upon herself to search for and protect the Senator Brunswick who had entered the fray without an escort. She found him, trying and failing to dance toe to toe with Mikhail Shorn, as petulant sith whom she had met before. A sith who had outmatched her before. But she was a Jedi, is was her duty to protect those who could not protect themselves, and she was stubborn. Mikhail had a greater advantage than he had before. He had Derriphan, a sith sword, consumer of souls and its power made him insane. Her stubbornness and her desire to protect people would cost Rosa far more dearly than she could have ever anticipated. Succeeding in landing a blow upon Mikhail, his sword took control of him, draining her and consuming what it could from her in the force.Rosa sought with all her might to protect her unborn child, to wrap her own force life around it, but the soulsaber was stronger as it seized her unborn child in the force and wrenched it from her.

Despair consumed her. Once again her perfect little world had been taken from her. She fled the battlefield, but not before recovering her seriously injured fiance. Darron wasted no time in blaming her, for the loss of their child. The fact that he was right was neither here nor there, more than anything she had needed his support, his forgiveness yet all she received was a cold shoulder. Devastated, she returned his ring and fled the Republic, unable to find support amidst its subjects.

For some time, Rosa drifted, until she came across the Vagrant Fleet. A ragtag group of people looking for nothing more than some peace and quiet and at its head, none other than Ashin Varanin and Spencer Jacobs. Whatever misgivings she had had about the now former Empress, Rosa could not bring herself to stand against her. She was simply grateful for somewhere quiet to hide. As a fellow Empath, Spencer sensed the despair in Rosa and stepped in to help her and for a time she trained with the mentalist, learning another perspective of the force, one that balanced light and dark and taught her to use the rage of others to grant her the ability to tap into the dark side to use attacks with corrupting herself.

Rosa was able to find some measure of peace amidst the Vagrants, and it was during their travels that she came across her old padawan on a space station in the back end of nowhere. Overjoyed at seeing Seroth, they spent an afternoon whiling away the hours with food and conversation, each exchanging the tales of their time apart. They parted with a kiss, one that Rosa told him she was not ready for and again went their separate ways.

Many months later, following her instinct and the call of the force, Rosa came to Spira and there she found Seroth again. They fell in love amidst the tropical storms and for a long time Rosa did not want to leave him, but each had their calling to find. Such peace was never to last, a warning from Qae Shena, another Vagrant, came though, Ashin’s cover in the fleet had been blown, enemies were coming for them. The ever war torn galaxy forced them to part ways once more.

The Vagrant fleet disbanded, though many members remained in contact, friends that she kept for years to come. After a time, a group of such friends came together, Jedi that had forsaken the Republic’s Order but still wished to serve the galaxy. The Silent Conclave was formed, a small group of Jedi that devoted themselves to the protection of innocents and to aiding those in need of help. They would take no sides in war, but simply provide aid for the bystanders. Here, Rosa and Seroth had more time together, gathering what resources they could with the aid of Jorus Merrill and with their friends, fulfilling the articles of the Conclave.

The ideals of this appeared to many and the Conclave grew to become the Levantine Sanctum. One planet to join them in return for their protection was Arda, a little backwater planet with sand beaches and a fairly primitive way of life. It was here that Seroth and Rosa made their home. After a time, Seroths work to monster hunting called him away and not for the first time. It was a year before he returned to her, a total stranger in appearance. The trial of the Waters had changed him to a dunaan, and with it he took the name Seydon. Furious at his lack of contact, but forgiving him all the same, they married upon the beaches of Arda, taking the customs of the Ardans into their own wedding.

War was raging in the core, and try as she might, Rosa could not ignore the suffering. Joining Turin and a handful of others Rosa stepped back onto Republic soil for the first time in a long time with the intent of providing aid to the refugees. However Carida came under attack by the One Sith while there and she was forced to fight. Surviving she returned home, bringing a wounded Turin with her. He wasn’t right, whatever had happened in that battle had damaged him far more than she could heal. She accosted him trying to go to the sith realising his suffering was mental she attempted to sooth him but the result brought her eye to eye on another plane with Darth Isolda. Overpowered, Turin kidnapped her and brought her to his new mistress in the sith.

For four long years Rosa was held captive, tortured and tormented she retreated into herself and a new persona took control. Darth Layil became on of the Dread Lords of the one Sith. A Weaver of Nightmare and a walking beacon of fear she took her place on the battlefields and projected fear into the minds of the enemies of the One Sith. Her Dread brother, Odium taught her to Force Drain, igniting an insatiable hunger within her. Together they consumed a great number of souls. After a time however, Layil became bored and escaped the clutches of the sith escaping to a backwater world and consuming a village and making it her lair. Locals dared not go near it, for the keening cry of the lost souls haunted the woods that surrounded it. It was here, after a year of searching that Seydon found her. Contracted by the locals to rid them of the monster, Seydon battled with Layil, unaware that beneath the golden mask was his wife. It was only upon nearly killing her that Rosa was able to overthrow the control her alter-ego had on herself.

Severely wounded, Seydon took her home and nursed her back to health. On Arda she remained for a long time, battling with the monstrosities she had committed, seeking solitude and meditating for weeks at a time to try and find her peace again. Healing came with time and after a while Rosa was able to face the Galaxy once more. She returned to the life that she had held so dear during the times of the Conclave, a life of helping those less fortunate. After being asked to assist in the evacuation of the Jedi Academy on Yavin, Rosa set up the Boolon Foundation. A non-profit organisation named after her deceased friend with the mission to provide humanitarian aid in times of war and provide sanctuary to refugees and many others that need it.

[member="Xzara Vox"] I am always happy to RP with new people. I'm currently using this thread to gather a few backers but if you're interested, as things begin to expand, Xzara can always assist with things like finding locations. Perhaps Rosa could also offer some training too, though if i'm honest, I can't commit to a full time apprentice but lessons here and there always help.
