BACKGROUND

Roman Vossari was not forged in fire. He was marinated in poison.

Born the final scion of House Vossari - a once-noble Serennoan lineage that devoured itself with grief and ambition - Roman's childhood was a study in the collapse of dynasties. The deaths of his siblings shattered the fragile bonds holding his family together. His mother faded into ghostlike melancholy, while his father curdled into a cold-blooded schemer, intent on shaping his son into a weapon of legacy and leverage.

The New Jedi Order plucked Roman from this rotting palace at the age of ten. They saw a child sensitive to the Force, perhaps uncut marble waiting to be sculpted into serenity. What they got was a boy running from shadows he never escaped.

Roman's almost decade with the New Jedi Order tempered his instincts but never cleansed the bitterness. When he returned to Serenno at age 18, it was not for peace or reconciliation - it was to bury what was left of his past. His mother was dead, her demise an unanswered question wrapped in regret. His father? They got into a fight that inevitably lead to the imprisonment of the man.

Finally free, he had a choice to make. Sold the estate. Left Serenno and the Jedi, deciding to finally decide his own fate in the galaxy.

In the power vacuum left by collapsing governments and greedy empires, Roman found something that resembled purpose: The Confederacy. Not corrupted by religion or drowning in nostalgia for dead Republics, this new order promised structure, discipline, and a war worth fighting. He enlisted in the Confederate Army, trained for two years, and it only took a few bruises and a broken rib to realize the Special Forces were where he belonged.

He doesn't talk about the Jedi. He doesn't talk about Serenno. He simply lives to serve the Confederacy and promote peace throughout the galaxy.

Roman now serves in the shadow wars - recon, sabotage, and silent eliminations - under the Confederate banner. He's efficient, merciless, and deeply loyal to the idea of peace, if not always the methods it takes to get there.

PERSONALITY

Roman Vossari is what remains when idealism is wounded, but not extinguished. Once a bright-eyed Jedi hopeful, he's since become something more guarded - measured, precise, and shaped by loss. The fire inside him hasn't gone out; it's just learned to burn quieter.

He's pragmatic, yes - but not cruel. Efficiency matters to him because he knows what happens when missions fail. He's no longer guided by sweeping ideology, but by a personal code built on survival, responsibility, and the belief that peace - real, lasting peace - requires difficult choices. Roman prefers actions over speeches, but his conscience still flickers through, a holdover from Jedi teachings he pretends he's forgotten.

In teams, he's respected for his focus and composure. He doesn't lead with warmth, but there's a kind of calm empathy beneath the surface. He watches out for his squad, checks in when it counts, and never leaves anyone behind. His honesty is sharp, but not cruel; his dry humor keeps things human when the galaxy feels anything but.

Roman doesn't think of himself as broken. Just… altered. Rewired. He may not believe in redemption, but he believes in doing the next right thing - even if it hurts. And in quiet moments, when no one's watching, he still wonders: if not this path, what could've been?

Goals:
  • Stabilize the Outer Rim – Roman believes in the Confederacy's mission: control, order, peace through calculated violence. He wants to help reshape the galaxy so it never breeds another version of his father.
  • Erase His Past – Whether consciously or not, Roman is on a mission to bury the Jedi, House Vossari, and everything that ever tried to define him.
  • Survive Long Enough to Matter – He doesn't expect a happy ending. He just wants to make enough of a difference that dying doesn't feel like a waste.
SKILLS

  • Close Quarters Combat – Blade, blaster, or bare hands. If you're within five meters of Roman and hostile, you're either very brave or already dead.
  • Sniping & Target Elimination – Patience is a virtue. Roman has killed targets with three shots over six hours and one shot over six kilometers.
  • Demolitions & Sabotage – He's not flashy, but he does know where to place a charge if you want a ship to look like an accident.
  • Recon & Espionage – Send him behind enemy lines. He'll come back with a map, five secrets, and an unsettling expression.
  • Force-Based Reflex Enhancement – He doesn't wield the Force like a lightsaber anymore, but it sharpens him in combat: faster draws, split-second dodges, and preternatural intuition.
STRENGTHS & WEAKNESSES

STRENGTHS
  • Tactical Precision – Roman doesn't guess. He calculates. Every shot, every move, every order is part of a larger picture he's already painted in his head.
  • Stealth & Infiltration – Whether it's a palace or a pirate den, if Roman's assigned to go in, no one's hearing the door open.
  • Mental Fortitude – Jedi discipline mixed with battlefield trauma. He's a cold-blooded survivor with enough emotional numbness to out-stare a statue.
  • Force Sensitivity – He doesn't flaunt it, but Roman's latent connection to the Force enhances his reflexes, instincts, and tactical awareness. It's subtle... and deadly.
  • Loyal to the Mission – He won't betray the cause. He might question the orders, but once he signs on - he finishes it.

WEAKNESSES

  • Emotional Compartmentalization - Roman's habit of burying his emotions to stay mission-effective makes him look stoic on the outside… and internally, an active construction site of unresolved grief, guilt, and doubt. He handles trauma like a pro: by not handling it at all.
  • Moral Exhaustion - He no longer believes in clean choices or heroes. This moral fatigue leads him to justify ethically gray decisions more easily than he should. It's not that he lacks a conscience - he's just trained it to whisper instead of shout.
  • Hyper-competence as a Crutch - He leans so heavily on being "the capable one" that failure, even small, wrecks him disproportionately. He measures his worth by performance, and when he stumbles, it feeds a quiet fear that he's still just a scared kid from Serenno who ran out of options.
