PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION

Roland is almost always seen wearing the blood-red flight suit of a Chantemerian fighter pilot though for shore leave he often switches clothes. He always wears some kind of eye covering, either his Adrian Helmet Mounted Display System (AHMDS) or black shades due to his disability.

PERSONALITY AND BELIEFS

To many, Roland Bezeach is an arrogant bastard with a God Complex who sees all other Starfighters pilots as beneath him. To those who know him, he is arrogant for a reason. For every boast that he makes he always backs it up with actions. He is popular with the ladies on his home planet of Chantemer who are drawn to him by his surprising charisma and constant air of mystery. He is strangely both methodical and impulsive, able to draw up complicated battle plans that would put admirals to shame but throw them in the air once he gets the first scent of blood to fly into the scrum of battle with only his skills and supernatural reaction times by his side.

Roland cares little about the state of his home planet Chantemer, truly caring only for two things: his constant need for speed and his white-hot desire to take the title of the Ace of Aces, to become the only true Starfighter Ace in the entire Galaxy. However, he does despise the Poutine Regime's constant interference with the Void Forces and isolationist policies that prevent Chantemer from fighting more enemies. He is ruthless and shows no mercy during combat but has a sick sense of honor. He does not attack defenseless or defeated starships, not out of purity of heart but instead that they wouldn't be counted on his kill score.

HISTORY

Roland Bezeach was born in 874 ABY on Chantemer. His family had a long history of serving the armed forces, in particular, the void forces from the days of the monarchy to the rise of the new Poutine Regime. His mother died during childbirth and his father was absent due to his duties leaving him to raise himself on his own. In his early days, he was noted for being a highly competitive student and sportsman, leaving many in the dust. Roland often drove himself to the brink to be noticed by a father that he rarely saw but it was never enough. He was simply too busy to make time for Roland.

In 890, Roland chose to attend the National Military Academy instead of pursuing higher education where he was almost immediately singled out for his reaction times. Roland had always been known for reacting quickly to anything thrown at him and coming up with his plan but this was often chalked up to him being a sharp young man, never dropping the ball on an opportunity he could seize. However, testing by the proctors at the academy determined that his times were simply impossible as he was reacting to things mere macro seconds before they happened. On a hunch, a Midi-chlorian test was done and found that his count was three times higher than a normal human.

The reason this had not been caught at a younger age is that he did not display the usual "Jedi powers" of telekinesis or could even sense the flow of the force. Rather his force-sensitive manifested in a form of constant Force premonitions. Where premonitions could usually not be relied on due to them being clouded by the user's emotions and chaos theory, Roland instead could see a mere tenth of a second into the future with certainty. This might not seem like much but it allowed him to react to stimuli the moment before his senses detected it meaning he would always be a very slight step ahead of anyone. However, a seemingly random yet still related side effect was that he developed a strong sensitivity to light sources and needed to constantly wear some form of light-dampening glasses.

Roland quickly rose through the ranks due to his unique abilities. On top of his constant premonitions, he seemingly possessed the ability to not be able to feel the effects of G-Force, able to make maneuvers that many of his fellows had passed out cold from. This made him the premier test pilot for a prototype aircraft that was fast and dangerous, the combination he came to love. His favored paint scheme and devilish speed gave him the nickname of "The Red Comet."

During Suhara Villow's rebellion, Roland stayed on the side of the Poutine Regime as he had little reason to believe that she would succeed. However he managed to mostly stay avoid being part of the Regime's forces that crushed the many uprisings that followed due to his valuable nature as a test pilot. However with her fleet-in-exile rapidly going stronger and the stage set for a full-blown revolution at home, Roland will have to make decide which side will enable him to fly the fastest.
