Personality
A veteran stormtrooper officer shaped by years of combat, Rohlan Basra is a diligent and reliable leader whose experience steadies and inspires those who serve under him. He is not blind to the sentient cost of command, nor indifferent to the lives entrusted to him. Yet, when orders demand sacrifice, he has learned to carry them out and carries the consequences with him into restless, sleepless nights.
Motivation & Conflict
It's a peaceful life: Rohlan has grown discontent, torn between the cause his forefathers have long sacrificed everything for and his desire to return to a normal life with his family.
HISTORY
While tracing his heritage to the Core, his family's history is marked by a history of constant displacement. For generations, they had served as loyal Imperial military officers, their devotion to the Imperial ideal carrying them from one corner of space to another as empires fractured, reformed, then fell again.
Now a stormtrooper colonel in the Imperial Confederation -- a fledgling Imperial state that has carved out a fragile pocket of order -- he finds his loyalty wavering. Years of service have cost him his family, and the son he left behind as a toddler is now old enough for school. Caught between duty and blood, he must choose whether to uphold a legacy built on endless service or finally break the cycle and return home.
