Height: 6'0"
Weight: 180 lbs

Hair: Dark Brown
Skin: Caucasian/Pale
Force Sensitive: No
Strengths:
* Instinctive Navigational Reflexes: Roderik has a natural affinity towards flying, both in the unique atmospheric conditions that populate the worlds inhabiting the galaxy, and in regards to space-flight -- to which Roderik's talents can be fully demonstrated; namely, his ability to utilize all available directions and angles to his advantage. He can mentally compute and react to deviations of an opponent's flight path nearly as fast (though he will always claim faster) than a targeting computer.
* Good-Natured, Natural Leadership Qualities: Roderik can find himself differing from other leadership styles in a great many ways, but striking is his ability to instill loyalty in his men in his own way. He has been known to devote a majority of his off-duty hours to tutoring junior, inexperienced flyers, and learning them in the graceful but dangerous arts of aerial and space dogfighting. Roderik held in high esteem the traditions of leading from the front, and leading by example, and his countless successful missions attest to the skills of those he mentored.
Weaknesses:
* Non-conformist: Roderik stands out among his First Order peers as a man with a true conscience, though he is often forced to act against it for what he perceives to be the 'Greater Good' of the First Order's influence. He does not believe in the inhumane treatment of sentient beings, no matter their species or social standing. His views are especially chivalrous when it comes to the treatment he would afford enemy prisoners of war, especially those on planetary outskirts as mercenaries and pirates. His mercy has been informally known to extend to letting critically damaged enemies flee, as opposed to claiming a crippled opponent for an easy kill. This, much to the derision of some of even his peers.
* Run down nervous system: The style of flight that Roderik prefers, referred to by some as 'seat of your pants' flying, requires a great deal of effort, and a maximization of spatial awareness. Long missions, coupled with too little recuperation time between missions, has somewhat eroded his ability to function when he is not intensely focused in the cockpit. This has demonstrated itself by a shaking tremor that appears primarily along the right side of his body, as an involuntary shaking of his hand-to-upper-arm, and to a semi-continual tapping of his right foot.
Appearance:
More often than not, Roderik wears the garb of a First Order starfighter pilot.
Biography:
Roderik von Brinkerhoff was born uneventfully within a medical facility, on a colony world near the center of eventual First Order space. An equally uneventful world, from which Roderik would escape due to a lucky happenstance. Roderik was born into a family well connected within what would become part of the core world aristocracy of the First Order itself. He moved with his family to their world's foremost city at an early age, where he was introduced to higher society still. Though he himself would shun this lifestyle and come to desire something more adventurous from his youth.
It was from these beginnings that the remarkable career of one of the First Order's finest fighter pilots spawned. He was able to secure with his father's connections every head start, including attendance at the premier military preparatory academies. This directly lead to his acceptance, due to his high marks and own merits, into the primary military academy, where he was selected for TIE flight training. The ambition of being the Order's top pilot was stoked almost immediately. Always interested in land-speeder and space-craft flying, as most young children are, Roderik never quite outgrew the youthful passion, and employed that in the form of perseverance and tenacity in his training, earning even higher marks.
His career post-academy was impressive, though not without its demerits - most, thankfully, unofficially excised. He landed various operational stints both planetside, and in space aboard the grand Star Destroyers, and lesser escort carriers and support vessels of the First Order. With his talent and growing seniority amongst the pilot corps, he invariably grew to incorporate additional responsibilities independently of his rank. He took junior pilots under his wing to tutor, and mentor in the art of the dogfight, where even the smallest mistake would result in a near-immediate death.
This did not go unseen, and he quickly found himself the favored field commander of the Starfighter Corps' High Command. He rotated from squadron to squadron, along the way taking many detours for staff assignments, occasionally to High Command itself, primarily as a consultant on tactical doctrine development, to which he was well suited. Roderik was the consummate fighter pilot, and knew which policies to push, and which to relegate to the sidelines. And which to ignore altogether.
His career seems to remain on the ascent, even now, as he looks to the newest assignment, still as of yet designated. Roderik is prepared to meet this newest challenge without fear or trepidation, as he has countless times before.
