Weapon Description
Description: When you want an accurate weapon but you don't want to be shelved up with a sniper rifle the Rocksteady is for you. It's a bull pup battle rifle that can deliver accurate shots at long distances and still be used on most battlefields. It's a hard working tough rifle that will put shots where they need to go if you take the time to line them up.
Strengths. As far as rifles go the Rocksteady packs the power of a 7.62 behind it and will hit hard against targets, it's capable of piercing armor and can do so at varying distances. The idea behind this weapon is to be able to pick off the enemy at a distance and still be able to maintain that run and gun mobility that a sniper just doesn't offer. And while it doesn't have the range that a sniper can offer its still impressive for a rifle of its size. It can be used in open battlefields, urban warfare, and other settings. It's tough, durable, and easy to maintain. These are the features which make the Rocksteady such an effective weapons platform. That and its ability to be used at short to long range combat.
Weaknesses. While this is an accurate rifle thanks to the bull pup design it still bolsters a bit of recoil when fired, so when you are putting rounds down range full auto is tempting but that's best only used in situations where the enemy needs to be suppressed. For accurate results it's recommended that the operator uses burst and semi automatic fire. But another weakness this rifle suffers is that while its a good weapon for accurate urban warfare scenarios much like a compact sniper it's not the best at room to room clearing, if you are sweeping buildings with it make sure to give yourself enough room to not get caught on corners and walls.
Summary. It's rifle designed to deliver accurate fire over decent distances, it will perform well as long as you pick your shots and use it effectively. It's bull pup design aides the user and helps keep the rifle sleek and tough.
