SPECIAL FEATURES
  • The Armato has fast-tracking lock on systems that are able to quickly track and lock a missile onto a target.
  • When not in use, the Armato can be retracted into a ship's hull (dependent on design. While this is the standard configuration, some ships may opt to leave the Armato as a fixed position.
  • The Armato has a lower-hemispherical range of fire, and is built to swivel and move quickly in order to more accurately fire its missiles.
  • The Armato is controlled either by computer or remotely, and can either fire missiles in tandem or as single units against enemy starfighters.
STRENGTHS
  • Fast-Tracking Movement: The LS3 Armato is mounted on a swivel that allows it full hemispherical range of motion, which aids in accuracy of firing its missiles. It's tracking and targeting systems are top-notch as well, which allows for the Armato to accurately target enemy starfighters.
  • Hidy-Hole: The ventral missile cannon is designed to retract into the hull when not used, or when desired. This, combined with the defensive plating of the Armato being made of both Durasteel-421A and Durasteel-421S alloys makes the ventral cannon extremely hard to destroy by enemy ships.
  • Variability: Although the Armato is limited by how many missiles it can store in one casing, it is unlimited by what type of missile provided that the munition is a variant of the standard point-defense missile.
WEAKNESSES
  • Bottoms Only: The greatest design flaw of the Armato, the missile cannon can only be mounted on the 'bottom' of a ship's hull which limits its range and protective coverage.
  • Not Anti Capital: The Armato is not made to fire anti-capital missiles, and thus is a primarily defensive weapon in that regard.
  • Reload: The Armato holds a casing of eight missiles, and once the munitions are depleted the ventral cannon must be retracted into the ship for it's casings to be reloaded, which is a slow and tedious process.
DESCRIPTION
Although they share the same purpose, the LS3 Armato Ventral Missile Cannon is very different from its sister emplacement, the LS2 Valentine point-defense octet. With a full bottom-hemispherical range of motion and ability to fast-track targets, the Armato is a quick and lethal point-defense weapon for any ship to have. Although it is limited by the fact that it can only be installed on the bottom of ships, the Armato more than makes up for it in terms of defensive capabilities. It itself is very hard to destroy, as the emplacement is made out of a dual-plating of both Durasteel-421A and Durasteel-421S alloys. The Armato can also be retracted into a ship's hull on demand, both if the weapon is simply not in use and if the emplacement is under heavy fire. All around, the Armato is designed to be a faster, more agile and more aggressive point defense system that manages to still succeed in its efforts despite its drawbacks.

OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
  • Intent: To create an advanced droid brain that can serve as a component for future submissions.
  • Canon Link: N/A
  • Primary Source: N/A
PRODUCTION INFORMATION
  • Manufacturer: Roble Manufacturing
  • Affiliation: Closed-Market
  • Model: DB-1 Aron Droid Brain
  • Modularity: The Aron Droid Brain can switch between different behavioral and processing protocols depending on the design of the droid that the brain is implemented in.

  • Production: Mass-Produced
  • Material: Laminanium Core with a Carbon Fiber structure
SPECIAL FEATURES
  • A Laminanium core and carbon fiber structure provides extra support for the droid brain.
  • The RAAM null-lock area tricks missile targeting systems into thinking they've contacted the ship's hull, causing the missile to detonate early.
  • For missiles and other tracking ordnances that do not have computer-assisted detonation, the anti-targeting field created by the RAAM acts in a way similar to a magnetic field, repelling missile tracking systems.
  • The null-lock bubble projected around the ship makes it harder for missile targeting systems to acquire a lock on target the further they are away from the ship.
STRENGTHS
  • Try to Hit This: The RAAM-M3 Tactical Ordnance Jammer inhibits a missile lock-on from either starfighters or starships the further the attacking ship is away from the defending ship.
  • Not Missile Attractive: The RAAM creates a null-lock bubble around the ship. Missiles that use targeting technology to detonate it's warhead are confused into thinking they've hit the hull when in reality they've only projected the jammer 'bubble' causing the missile to detonate early with little effect.
  • Repulsive: The null-lock bubble created around the ship by the RAAM will actually, to an extent, 'repel' inbuilt targeting systems of a missile in a similar way to magnetic repulsion.
WEAKNESSES
  • Dumb-Fired: The RAAM offers no protection against dumb-fired missiles or ordnance.
  • They're Closer: It is easier for enemy targeting systems to lock onto a ship the closer that the two ships are. This lowers the effectiveness of the RAAM at closer distances.
  • Overwhelmed: The null lock bubble can be overwhelmed by a large amount of missiles in a short amount of time. This means that a ship with the RAAM-M3 is not effectively impervious to all types of missile delivery systems.
DESCRIPTION
Designed to be a more in-depth anti-missile system than their initial shielding creation, Roble Manufacturing created the RAAM-M3 Tactical Ordnance Jammer as an electronic means of distorting and interrupting common means of targeting systems, both inbuilt into a missile delivery system and in a missile launcher. More viable the further away the attacking ship is from the defender, it's primary function is creating a 'bubble' around the ship that interferes with any targeting system trying to lock onto the ship's signature.

OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
  • Intent: To create a personal sparring droid for a Secret Santa gift.

PRODUCTION INFORMATION
TECHNICAL INFORMATION
SPECIAL FEATURES
  • The Brohk is able to use basic force powers (physical enhancement, telekinesis, etc.) at the level of a Knight in strict combat settings only.
  • The Brohk has a mastery-level skill in all common and uncommon lightsaber forms, as well as unarmed combat disciplines.
  • The use of carbon-fiber joints means that the Brohk has mobility and agility skills that can rival most trained organics.
  • Durasteel-reinforced knuckle joints.
  • SACG-23S shock-absorbant gel is incorporated into the ligaments and 'feet' of the Brohk, allowing for it to withstand higher pressure.
  • The Brohk has an enhanced memory that allows it to remember previous engagements and adjust its fighting style to better counter its opponent.
  • The droid can run through holographic diagrams of battles, allowing for users to capture the dueling patterns of their opponents and then configure the Brohk to act in that way as well.
  • Protocols prevent the Brohk from seriously harming its opponents and from carrying lethal weapons.
  • Training Mode: The Brohk can be configured to run through different lightsaber forms or sequences to the user's desire. This also allows for the user to customize the Brohk's skill level to the extent of their capabilities.
  • Free-Form Mode: In this setting the Brohk can and will do everything in its knowledge to best its enemy. This can be used as a 'final test' for someone's skill and dexterity, although it is admittedly extremely challenging to do so.
STRENGTHS
  • Grandmaster: The Brohk-type has almost know limit when it comes to knowledge and skill in the galaxy's wide range of melee and martial combat. Able to train with both lightsabers and fist-to-fist, the Brohk can match nearly anyone in terms of melee combat. In addition to that, the Brohk can use a limited amount of force-moves (restricted to basic telekensis, physical augmentation and that class of skills) at the level of a standard Jedi Knight tobetter simulate combat against a Force User.
  • The Ultimate Trainer: The primary and only purpose of the Brohk is to serve as a sparring droid. Thus, the Brohk can be configured through a variety of settings depending on the user's needs or wishes. It is also able to remember its previous sparring matches and can incorporate that data to further help train its user. The Brohk can also incoporate holo-diagrams of duelers to match their patterns and style, allowing for the user to train against a simulation of specific opponents.
  • Life-Like: The Brohk is extremely agile, durable, and strong which makes it hard for the body or any other component of the droid to be actually damaged. The shape of the droid's chassis is also extremely similar to that of most non-humans, providing its user with realistic strike zones during combat.
WEAKNESSES
  • Non-Lethal: Although it has theoretically nearly-unmatched skill in terms of dueling, the Brohk is not designed to be a live-fire droid. Its protocols prevent the droid from imposing any serious damage or injury on its opponents, and will go so far as to completely shut down the droid if senses a lethal weapon in its possession. The Brohk also has no skill when it comes to blaster or other forms of ranged combat.
  • A Contender, not a Teacher: While the Brohk has an extremely high-level skill ceiling and great deal of assets when it comes to dueling and training, the droid is not a teacher. Thus, users of the Brohk must create their own regimens and largely self-direct their training (or utilize a separate teacher) and cannot rely on the Brohk for explicit instruction.
  • Where's the Holocamera: While the holodiagram analyzing capabilities of the Brohk are extremely helpful when it comes to simulating combat against specific individuals, this capability is limited somewhat by the droid requiring actual hologram footage of the requested opponent. Lack of footage or poor quality can greatly reduce the capabilities of this function.
DESCRIPTION
A highly advanced sparring droid intended to take lightsaber combat dueling to the next level, the TVX-25 Brohk-type sparring droid is created to be a unique model that acts as the perfect training droid for any lightsaber or melee fighter. Designed to be the ultimate tool for one who practices with melee weapons or in the various martial arts and disciplines that the galaxy has to offer, the Brohk was created with several significant advantages that give it a cutting edge within sparring droid technology.

One often overlooked but crucial element of the Brohk is the chassis of the droid and its overall design. With joints and a body that fits the profile of most human and near-human alien types, the Brohk makes strike zones and dueling more realistic with this physical similarity. The droid is also made with strong-resistance armor that can absorb blows and shock-absorbant gel that likewise absorbs kinetic impacts, which makes the droid stronger and elss likely to be the victim of wear-and-tear.

In terms of its fighting capabilities, the Brohk is perhaps one of the most advanced in the galaxy with a master-level of skill in all common lightsaber forms as well as hand-to-hand combat disciplines. With the ability to remember previous sparring lessons and update its own fighting skill as well, the Brohk can update its own formulas to better fit the patterns of its opponents, adding to the level of challenge and difficulty when facing this droid. In addition to that, the sparring droid features an imbued Kyber Crystal which allows for the droid to perform basic force moves such as telekenesis and physical augmentation (at the level of a standard Jedi Knight) to better simulate dueling against a force-user.

When it comes to training, the Brohk has a multitude of options to fine-tune its user's experience. From the start, the droid's opponent can select whether to spar against the droid in regular Training Mode or the more-difficult Free Form mode, where the Brohk has free reign to use anything in its power to try and defeat its opponent. Furthermore, the droid can be custom-programmed to follow specific routines or strike patterns if a user is trying to perfect a certain technique. What's more than that is the ability for the Brohk to analyze holodiagrams of other fighters to create a simulation of dueling that force-wielder, although the function requires a holographic video of that fighter and in good quality.

However, in spirit of its nature as a training droid, the Brohk is specifically programmed to be as nonlethal as possible. The designers at Roble Manufacturing recongized the potential ramifications of an unbeatable wardroid and what could happen if someone with bad intentions obtained the droid's control matrix, and thus imposed several limitations and safeguards to prevent the droid from actually harming anyone. Apart from protocols that prevent the Brohk from causing any serious injury to its opponent, the droid will prevent itself from harming others by going to the extent of power off its own systems if it senses that there is a lethal weapon within its own possession.

Overall, the Brohk is a highly variable, durable and quite valuable sparring droid that will greatly enhance the skill and training of whoever is lucky enough to own the droid.
