ADVANCED SYSTEMS
  • HIMS
  • Advanced Decryption Network
  • Advanced Encryption Network
  • Advanced Hyperwave Signal Jammer
  • Long Range Communication System
  • Compartmentalized Build and Power Structure
  • Drop Pod Bays
  • Electronic Warfare Suite

Strengths
  • The Pygmy II, just like its predecessor, is designed to cause havoc in an enemy fleet. Throwing off sensors with ghost ships and false positives while also providing its own fleet with crucial information such as enemy fleet movements and potential ambushes.
  • Dorsal hangar allows for quick starfighter and ship deployment
  • Compartmentalized design allows for ship to continue serving some sort of role in battle as it is slowly torn apart.
Weaknesses
  • Dorsal Hangar is slow to open and close, leaving it vulnerable when launching fighters from the main hangar.
  • Large comand center that includes the bridge, secondary hangar, and various other important systems are heavily exposed.
  • Low armament leaves the RNCR Pygmy II outclassed in a brawl against even ships in its class.

Description: The RNCR Pygmy II-Class Cruiser was one of MandalMotors' most advanced ships. Toeing the edge between cruiser and star destroyer designation, the Pygmy II acted as a support ship to the Mandalorian armada. Where other ships in MandalMotors used slightly antiquated shielding technology, MandalMotors engineers spared no expense on the Pygmy II, doubling the ship's shield strength over its predecessor, the Pygmy I. Its hanger size was also increased, allowing for stronger deployments and support while this ship carries out its secondary role, occupation. While the original Pygmy was designed to take fights into the atmosphere of a planet, it was poorly equipped to do so alone. Supplied with support from a larger selection of fighters, transports and even two corvettes, it was able to hold sectors more effectively.

The advanced electronic warfare suit and sensor suite also made a return in the Pygmy II which provided much needed support within the Mandalorian armada. It was able to provide precise enemy ship movements, fool enemy sensors on a large scale, and was very difficult to slice into, even once on board mostly due to it adopting the compartmentalized design popularized by the Ordo-Class frigate and perfected in the Alor-Class Battlecruiser. The compartmentalized design of Mandalorian ships made them incredibly difficult to outright disable in battle, with the ship split into several self-sustained modules. This meant that without intricate knowledge of the ship, it would be very difficult to slice into any vital controls such as life support or sensors from any old data port like you could on most other ship types.

There were drawbacks to this level of Mandalorian tech. Unlike many of their more battle oriented cruisers and dreadnoughts, the Pygmy II's bridge was greatly exposed. In fact, most of the command center, sensor controls, and ship countermeasures were located in a large superstructure that held the secondary hangar as well. The main hangar as well, was a liability of sorts, as it was located in the bow of the cruiser and opened up to reveal a dorsal hangar that stretched all the way to the central command tower. While this allowed for slightly larger ships like the Mandalorian Gunship Mk. 2 to dock inside and launch fighters rapidly, the hangar doors opened and closed slowly, leaving the ship vulnerable.

The RNCR Pygmy II-class Cruiser was commissioned by order of the Mand'alor after the Civil War as part of the project to revitalize the Mandalorian military and economy. As a result, the Pygmy Is were replaced with the Pygmy IIs wherever they had originally been in the armada. Despite the phase out of the Pygmy I, MandalMotors continued to sell the used ships to small governments, private militaries, and other interested parties.

Sorry for the wait!

As it stands, the vessel seems rather overpowered. My suggestion is that you lower two of your ratings.

Overpowered rating-wise. When you first 'template' a ship, it usually has Average across the board, and you get to mess around with it like a point system:

Minor Production = +1
Low Armament = +1
High Defense = -2
High Hangar = -2
Average Manoeuvrability = +0
Low Speed = +1
One more strength than weakness = -1
Total = -2

Thus, I've asked that you lower two ratings or you can just lower one while adding another weakness.

since when does the number of weaknesses vs strengths count more than the quality of said weaknesses? If that's the case I'll just remove the strength that was mostly a weakness anyways
