PRODUCTION INFORMATION
Manufacturer
: Ameli Trahir

Affiliation: Ameli Trahir
Model: Ring of Fatigue
Modularity: No
Production: Unique
Material: Silver

SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Enhanced by Sith Alchemy, the ring is sturdier than your average silver. It is also heavier than a non-alchemical counterpart would have been.
  • The ring projects an area of effect fatigue. While it can drain those within its reach of their energy, it does not transfer this to the ringbearer
  • The strength of the ring's power is connected to proximity. The further away from it you are, the weaker its pull and vice versa. Comparing it to the Effective Range from the ranged weapon template, it's considered to operate at its standard function at average range, gaining a boost at personal range while being negligible at long range.
STRENGTHS
  • Aura of Fatigue - It's in the name! The ring projects an aura of fatigue, mental and physical exhaustion, and the general sense that whatever task you're about to do just ain't worth it.
WEAKNESSES
  • Destructible - The ring is made of silver, and although reinforced by Sith Alchemy hardly indestructible. Concentrated Light Side energies focused in on the ring can be used to destroy it completely.
  • Friendly Fire - The ring projects an aura passively. It can not be channelled in on a specific target, nor made to spare one. Friend or foe, everyone within reach are exposed to its touch.
  • Force Nullification - When exposed to a Ysalamir field, close enough to Void stone, or in an area where the Force is otherwise inaccessible, this talisman will have no effect as it requires the Force to function.
DESCRIPTION
The Ring of Fatigue is a product of Sith Alchemy. It was made by Ameli Trahir, and it comes as a result of her deepening her studies into the arts of Sith Alchemy and Sith Sorcery. It was created while on the Migrant Fleet of the Ember of Vahl, after having been forced to flee her home on Bastion. In a period of much anger and frustration, Ameli found her work with Sith Alchemy to be a welcome distraction.

Though the inside of the ring is smooth, the outer circle is in contrast uneven, and covered in minor dents. It is however smooth to the touch. While from a stylistic point of view it is not perfect, it is a great improvement on her very first creation. She has come a long way since then, although perfecting the aesthetic side of things is something she has not yet mastered.

The ring comes with a special ability, and it is from this that it got its name. The effects of the ring acts similarly to Aura of Uneasiness and Force Drain. Imbued with the Dark Side of the Force, it projects an aura around itself. This aura has the potential to cause individuals to suffer from a sensation of intense malaise. Those touched by it are likely to feel a great sense of exhaustion both physical and mental. Force Sensitives have been known to experience an expanding sense of darkness, as well as a great difficulty to concentrate on whatever task they were attempting to perform at that moment.

Ameli is not one to get her hands dirty, save for dealing the finishing blow. She detests prolonged physical fights, and would rather make others do battle for her. It is Ameli's hope that this ring will help her avoid unnecessary squabbles. Although not always able to identify exactly the source of their discomfort, regular civilians would hopefully seek to keep a distance. Ideally even more experienced fighters would find their shoulders weighing heavy, and reach the conclusion that it's not worth it to get involved.

Despite the ring's power, the veteran Force User could find a way to shield him/herself from its effect. Against someone of strong will and great reserves in the Force, the ring would be little more than a nuisance, and instead of its effects becoming crippling they could power through. There is of course that simple fact that the ring does not make Ameli any faster, stronger, nor does it defend her from attacks, so the wearer of the ring can be got at., and thus its evil influence be put to an end.

Still, it is a neat little trick that is intended to make her life a little easier in certain areas. However, the ring does not discriminate. She should take care not to wear it too much and in all situations, especially in the company of friends. Such an act is a sure way to become labelled a giant buzzkill.

This is interesting and all it needs it two things. one the standard force nullification weakness as it is force enhanced and in your wording for the aura something akin to "potentially" or "can" as the others will be determining the level of effect.
