"Resh?"

Makko found himself slumped against the console of the shuttle. The shuttle that had crashed heavily into the rig.

The last few seconds had been a blur. He hadn't blacked out, but he'd lost all sense of direction. Something crackled, a myriad of sparks were flung out from one bulk head and tumbled down the shuttle floor.

For a moment Makko was given a clear picture of the shuttle. They were on their side, but it felt as if his last ditch effort to crash into the rig, not the open ocean had paid off.

"Resh?"

Resh was still getting acclimated to leaving the confines of the Temple, and the planet of Coruscant as a whole. If he'd known this visit was going to end up in a crash, he might very well have just resigned himself to menial labor and stuffing his nose in old books for the rest of his life. Resh's past was already too defined by conflict for his liking.

It wasn't even supposed to be much of a danger. They were being sent as negotiators, not an offensive force. But somebody got trigger happy, and knocked them out of the sky. "Ow…" The pureblood muttered as he regained awareness of his surroundings. He tried to budge, but was trapped beneath some interior debris, "Where are we?" Not at the bottom of the ocean, seemingly. That was a good start.

Resh tried to suppress his panic, focusing on small victories like that, and carefully snaked his way out from the debris thanks to his small frame. The padawan breathed a sigh of relief, planting his hands on his knees.

Makko felt relief wash over him at the sound of Resh's voice.

He had not killed a padawan. Not yet.

Closing his eyes, Makko stretched out with the Force. His saber lifted off from the ground and was drawn to his hand.

Snap-hiss

The indigo blade illuminated the shuttle.

"I don't know, but we're not sinking. I'm going to check the view screen, check the emergency hatch is clear?"
