SPECIAL FEATURES
Variable ammunition, the main feature of most scatterguns is the ability to load different ammunition types dependent on the requirements of the job at hand, slugs, buckshot, dragons' breath, and other unique ammunition types can be used in this weapon.
Top off, Due to the tube style magazines the scatter gun can have it's ammunition topped off on the fly helping to offset it's slow reload speed when it's out of ammo, or have a specially round loaded directly into the firing chamber.
Give em both barrels, The scattergun is built with two barrels that fire at the same time, helping to give it that extra kick when it comes to destructive ability.
Strengths:
- High damage potential
- Able to top up ammo on the fly
- Flexibly in ammunition types
- Easy to add new attachments
- Easy maintenance when compared to a blaster
- Slow rate of fire
- Low reload speed when out of ammunition
- High recoil
- Small ammunition capacity
DESCRIPTION
Rhyssa made this gun when she realised that she would need something a bit stronger than her original Adostic Arms 8-gauge scatter gun, but wasn't able to give the weapon up due to her sentimental attachment to the gun since it belonged to her late father. Her solution was to buy another of the same gun and build them together into single double barrelled weapon, firing two shots with a single trigger pull, essentially doubling her stopping power, of course this did have a trade off, even with the recoil compensation it was still only just manageable. One feature that Rhyssa was careful to add in was rails and maglocks to make adding and swapping attachments extremely easy. Despite relative complexity of the scattergun compared to most other slugthrowers it is still much easier then a blaster to compare and maintain, a real advantage when Rhyssa has plenty of other expensive and complex equipment to worry about.
