    PERSONALITY GUIDE:
    Lionhearted | Attentive | Thoughtful | Gracious | Analytical | Stoic | Zealous | Assertive | Desensitized | Callous | Bellicose

    STRENGTHS:
The Tower of Chaldea - Rhook can be described as colossal. The force nexus on Chaldea has a tendency to grow children raised there to abnormal size. It along with a early life of working in a family durasteel forge grew Rhook into an absolutely mountainous man.

Battle-hardened Leader - With much of his adulthood spent as a Jedi fighting in the Great War, Rhook is an experienced combatant and a leader on a tactical level. He is particularly at home leading troops into battle from the front, where he can physically protect his men and where his view of the current threats they face is unfettered.

Unstoppable Force - In combat himself, Rhook is a fearsome adversary. His physicality, strength in the force, as well as his skill and experience in combat make engagement with him something that should be carefully considered.

    WEAKNESSES:
My Life before my Men's - Rhook feels that the abilities he has earned through devotion and hard-work are blessings given to him to shelter those around him. He feels personally responsible for those around him - especially those in his command. In battle, Rhook prioritizes the minimization of friendly casualties above all else. Often times this has extended to physically interposing himself between subordinates and danger. It hasn't killed him yet, though it has came close. This has not changed his views in the slightest.

Guilt Complex - When something goes wrong, when people die, someone is to blame. In Rhook's mind that person is him, more times than not. There is ink etched into Rhook's body. It's a list of names, starting at the top of his right shoulder and making it's way down to just passed his forearm. It's a list of every subordinate that has ever died under Rhook's command. He reflects on this list more often than he should - his punishment for his sins is to look in the mirror each morning and recall those he has failed, and to think of the families left behind.

Double Life - After the Great War was lost, Rhook took to exile on his home planet of Chaldea. He met a woman there -- Saskia Aredenia. As of this year, 864ABY their daughter is six years old. And yet, Rhook has found himself drawn to the drums of war once more. It's something that has put his fairytale ending on hold, and has stressed his relationship with the woman he would describe as the love of his life more than it ever has been before.

However tragic it is, war is something that was beaten into Rhook. A quiet family life as fulfilling as it has been, has only made him long for the battlefield, and recent atrocities committed by the Sith provided the push he needed to return to the front.

  • FAMILY
    Saskia (Aredenia)Mandragoran
    - Wife - Rhook loves Saskia deeply. The problems between them have arisen because she doesn't understand his decision to return to the New Jedi Order. She feels abandoned by his decision to do so. Rhook has never confided in her that a sedentary lifestyle has left him feeling stifled. She takes comfort in the partial lie he has told her, which is that he fights because there is growing danger to the Galaxy and thus their daughter's future. Rhook genuinely does care about that, but it is far from his only reason to take up the sword once more.

Kara Mandragoran - Daughter - Kara is everything to Rhook. Though his restlessness has pushed him far from home, she is the lighthouse that calls him back to port. Each holovid call with her and Saskia reminds him of how proud he is to be a father, and regardless of distance, duty, or glory -- seeing her each time invokes a sweet pain in his heart. Rhook has no desire to be an absentee father, and struggles often with prioritizing his duty as a Jedi and as a father.

Ryv Karis - Nephew - Rhook was extremely close friends with Ryv's father, Vyrin Karis. They were men with similar outlooks on the world. They disagreed sometimes on the value of paying prices in blood, but somehow even through heated disagreements they never lost a sense of brotherhood. When Ryv was born it was only natural for him to feel a familial love for the boy, falling into a role as his uncle. Its been nearly a decade since Rhook last saw Ryv. In returning to the Jedi Order, he's heard some tales about its figurehead. Saw some holonet ads as well. It's a reunion he's very much looking forward to.
