RONIKA

The fiery red orb that was Koros finally dropped below the horizon. As the light passed, Arcturus could feel the radiation slowly end its relentless assault against his body. The sky slowly seceded orange and then to red, finally to a dark blue before the darkness washed over the land. Clad in black robes, adorning a sith mask, Arcturus watched as the light slowly died on this prison world. The prisoner laborers had finished scrapping together what ore they could find. It was a meaningless existence filled with hardship, but Arcturus had found that this miserable rock was the perfect place to hide.

Standing above a large valley, Arcturus gazed out across the red painted desert and into the stars. The time had finally come, through the force he could sense everything. He reached out with the force through his senses, and the galaxy opened up to him. The real world melted way into the metaphysical, and the Sith could see and sense the subtle changes and ripples in the force. Through the force everything was bound together, but it was only one bind Arcturus was looking for. A Jedi.

When the Sith perished on Ossus, a bond had been formed. From the moment the Sith was reborn, and his eyes opened, he could sense it. But could the Jedi? Death was not strong enough a cage to hold him, and thus so Arcturus returned with a strong will for having his revenge. Somewhere out there among the stars he knew the Jedi waited, but Arcturus no longer had the patience. Reaching out he spoke through the force across the galaxy. The time has come, I will remain hidden from you no longer. Then the Sith looked about the desert world one last time before turning back to go to his shelter.

After his time on Felucia Tyr-Kyr had come to terms with what he needed to do, and he knew to do it he would have to avoid contact with the order for as long as he could. It wasn't as if they were looking for him of course, most of the masters where too busy fighting a pointless war which made Tyr-Kyr's mission all the easier. He sat in the pilots seat of his corvette, not somewhere he liked to be, and searched for his next destination. He searched his feelings and his mind and was unable to find the answers he sought, but then he felt it. The sudden surge in the force that shot out upon him as a clear message. He then knew where he needed to go and what must be done before his mind and body would be fully healed. If Felucia was where his journey to revocery began, then Ronika would be where it ended.

The ship touched down on the outskirts of the mining colony in the darkness of a still night. His senses were dulled by the suffering of those withing this dire place, but somewhere hidden amongst the woeful serfs lay a wolf preparing to strike. The Sith from Ossus survived, and somewhere upon the surface of this planet he waits for Tyr-Kyr. Before Tyr-Kyr can join the others to begin correcting the woes of the order and himself, he must first correct a mistake he made upon that blood soaked battlefield so long ago.

The Sith's eyes sliced open. It had not taken long at all, not even a few days for the Jedi to arrive. A thin smile cracked across Arcturus's face. He stood from his cross legged position and moved over to a table on the other side of the cave he was living in. Arcturus picked up a mask and secured it over his face, hiding his true appearance. Since the fall of the empire, such measures needed to be taken to ensure his identity did not become public knowledge. He then reached down picked up his new lightsaber, a double emitted weapon, the weapon's hilt was the same size as a single bladed lightsaber. Pulling the hood of his black robes down, the Sith's features were completely hidden.

Taking a few steps out of the cave, Arcturus looked out over the small mining colony. A small space corvette broke through the atmosphere and the Sith could soon see the vessel's silhouette. Ships rarely came and went, and the usually did on scheduled times during the day time cycle. Either the Tetan nobles were anxious to dump a new criminal, or this was the Jedi he was looking for. Arcturus did not linger near his hideout, he set a strong pace along the edge of the valley toward the direction of the ship that have landed. The Sith made no effort to conceal himself in the force, he wanted his enemy to know he was coming.

Tyr-Kyr was not hasty to exit his craft but it was not fear that gripped him, it was anticipation. His blood boiled and caused his skin to redden even against the cool night air that washed over him as he opened the hatch. Tyr-Kyr was confronted by a heightened sense of things as he took his first step out of the corvette and unto the harsh gradient ground surrounding the mining camp. This would be his first time confronted by possible dangers since his training on Felucia and though Tyr-Kyr still had reservations about fighting again, he new he had to face this darkness before he could move on. He was not the same man he was on Ossus. Tyr-Kyr was a Knight now, and even more than that, Tyr-Kyr was now at peace.

Tyr-Kyr removed the long knight robes, leaving only his normal garb. He would not need their hindrance here. Securing his Lightsaber and his satchel on his side, Tyr-Kyr headed out towards the valley prepared to sever the last connection to his former self.

Ahead of him the path forked, and one of the trails led into a treacherous descent down into the valley. For a while now the Sith had been living on this planet since he was reborn. He had been biding his time, waiting for the right time to return to his home. But there was one loose end that needed to be tied up. One act of revenge that needed to be fulfilled before doing so. Using the force he jumped up andclimbed the edge of a cliff to an outcropping of rocks. He knew the terrain better than his opponent, and was going to use it to his advantage.

Arcturus looked out over the path towards where the star ship had set down. This place was perfect for an ambush, he held the high ground and could easily surprise the Jedi. Drawing on his emotions, he thought and reflected upon his death. Pain, passion, anger, and revenge, Arcturus drew on these feelings to give him strength. Taking his lightsaber from his belt, the Sith crouched down as he caught sight of his enemy. He gave a sharp exhale and prepared to lunge.

Tyr-Kyr walked slowly through the winding crags of the valley, ever searching for the one he had been drawn here to find. An air of caution washed over him as he take he first step up the ascending pathway leading to the actual mining compound in which he expected to find the dark presence blending in with the other prisoners. The Sith Empire had all but fallen, and most of it's members were now scattered and searching for a place to regain their lost power out of the Republic's gaze. This would be a good a place as any, and he knew that his former opponent had not expected him so soon. Tyr-Kyr hoped that would give him an advantage over the would be Sith.

Taking another step, Tyr-Kyr then felt it. He was near now and preparing to strike. He looked along the edges of the cliffs overlooking the valley hoping to see a hint of his attacker, yet he could not make out any distinct movements about. Tyr-Kyr took hold of his Lightsaber and cautiously continued onward, prepared for anything and expecting the worst.

The Jedi was close, he could see him now just a few feet below him. His opponent likewise could sense the impending danger, his lightsaber firmly grasped in his hand. I was cast into the void, but alas even oblivion could not find the chains to hold me for eternity. He taunted the Jedi through the force. Then suddenly Arcturus sprang from his perch high above the Jedi. A single red lightsaber blade came to life, Arcturus then raised his lightsaber above his head as he fell. The Sith focused on his enemy with his saber hilt high above his head, he swung down at the Jedi in his signature Falling Avalanche style, just as he landed on the path right behind the Jedi.
