The new capital of the republic wasn't exactly a world you could sneak onto, not when they were on high alert due to the war with the Sith. A war Mia wanted very much to be involved in. Her beskad itched to decapitate a few sith, but she'd trodden on enough toes in the Republic to earn herself a black mark and the title of 'Mand'alor's attack dog'. If she cared, she might have been upset by such a degrading name, but Mia never had cared what other people thought of her.

She'd spent hours working out her best chance of getting on the planet without detection. So it was that Mia Monroe, dressed in spacer gear and armed with a blaster and ascension gun, managed to slap a few hundred cred chips in the right hands and earned herself passage on a civilians transport as well as a no questions asked policy once she touched ground. The sun had dropped behind the horizon by the time she got out of the spaceport, forcing the citadel into false luminescence that elongated shadows along the walkways.

The Liberator tugged a data pad form an inside pocket as she walked and checked the notes she'd made. Having a boyfriend on the Republic's finance committee had its benefits, for example when large deposits of money are made to ship manufacturers in various locations, its safe to assume that someone is increasing their fleet size. she could have taken the matter to the Mand'alor himself, but she wanted to be sure she was barking up the right tree before pushing for their own naval developments.

A few taps on the datapad to clarify her location and she stopped her march to look around her properly. "Wayii." she muttered. Security was tight on the front doors, and she was betting all her credits that the back ones were heavily guarded too. Politicians liked a secure escape route, just in case things got hairy. She circled the building at a distance, pausing in shadows at various points to observe and find a weak point.

After an hour of recon she was about ready to try another location when movement overhead caught her attention, eyes snapped up to catch a glimpse of a curtain tugged outside by the wind. Someone had left a window open four stories up on the west face of the building. A grin formed on her face and she looked to the road that passed in front of the south of the building, heavy with speeder traffic as people fought to get home. Closing her eyes, Mia focused herself and reached out in the force to the traffic. Opening her eyes she watched it flow for a moment, waiting for the fool who would put his foot down a little to hard. As they came Mia shoved the speeder with the force, sending him careening into two other transports with a loud bang, blocking two lanes.

The noise had caught their attention, but the guards held firm, that was until fists flew and a blaster was brandished. As the rushed to settle the fight, Mia darted forward, standing beneath the window and firing the ascension gun above. A tug told her it was secure before it began hauling her up.

Popo

I'm Sexy and I Know It
It was a good day so far. The engine plans were mostly done and only needed the tweaking that was normal for installation. Last minute adjustments and the like predominantly. Popo enjoyed a more or less quiet day in his office, which meant he could do other things for once. Namely, read over Tenloss reports he'd been neglecting and generally relaxing for the most part.

He'd been working on some simple projects for Tenloss in his private workshop for the latter half of the day. At first, he'd left the climate control on the room running. Later, he'd opened the window. It was a nice, cool, and relatively quiet day for Coruscant, which meant he could enjoy the breeze coming through the window. He'd even gotten his armor maintained finally.

The Hutt had decided to take a break and grab a snack before shutting down the workshop and heading out to the range. The E-Web sat idle on his back and both wrist blasters were mounted and ready to go. He'd even dug out his helmet from the armored locker in his office. The headgear, covered in a burlap bag, sat on his back as he rummaged through the kitchen.

After a few moments, the Supreme Chancellor emerged from the refrigerator with a large plate of cheese poppers. He had no idea what they were made up, a pepper of some kind, but aside from the gas they gave him, they were absolutely delicious and spicy.

With plate in hand, he started making his way back to the workshop. It was a good day indeed.

Pulling herself over the window ledge, Mia disconnected the grappling hook and peered down to make sure she'd not been noticed. Holstering the ascension gun with a grin, she turned her attention inside. Getting in had been easy enough, getting out might be somewhat harder. People tend not to forget a face after it drops a fleet on your dorrstep, regardless of the fact she was now missing an eye.

Moving over to the desk, she slid into the chair and punched a few keys. Locked. She was reaching for the servo driver in her boot when noice in the adjacent room made her freeze.

"Feth." she breathed coming to her feet and drawing both guns from her hips as Popo re-entered the room.

Popo

I'm Sexy and I Know It
Popo made his way into his workshop, tray of poppers in one hand. He took in the woman standing and drawing her blasters at a glance, but nothing registered. He started to turn slightly to set the poppers on a nearby desk so he could start shutting down for the night when it finally clicked. Intruder. Spy. Assassin. Enemy.

The Hutt smothered an oath from a language native to a ceratin warrior culture that most Hutts didn't bother learning as the E-Web snapped over and down, aiming at the woman from over Popo's shoulder. At this range and with such firepower, Popo didn't bother raising one of the wrist blasters. It would be overkill. And he'd spill his spicy poppers.

The Hutt's eyes narrowed to hostile slits as his voice dropped to a low, deep, rumbling growl.

"You have ten seconds to explain why you're here," he said as the E-Web clicked, signaling a target lock.

Mia's blasters leveled at the hutt as his E-Web clicked to confirm a lock on. In the seconds it took for him to growl at her, she'd established a number of things. The first, she couldn't out run an e-web at this range, the second that she had met this hutt before and the third was that his was wearing beskar'gam. She blinked in response and blew a sigh out of her nose casting both blasters aside in a sign of acknowledgement that he had the upper hand, for the moment at least.

"It pays to know what your neighbours are up to." Eyes flicked up and down over the armour once more "Didn't take you long to climb from junior senator to chancellor did it?"
