Resurgence

[member="Cynna Jade Sunrider"]

"Jedi Sunrider please come to the meeting chamber." There was a look at the message as Morse was moving with her form fitted bodyarmor on, she was going over many of the things that she needed. Her channeling gloves, her boots and her utility belt. She had everything else when she entered the room giving some of her attention to the bigger things. "Wonder what it is they want." Morse stood tall at the ready clasping her hands behind her back when she was standing at a ready moments later when some of the other jedi were arriving. Morse had met with a member of the Halcyon and katarn houses within the order so she was proud of herself as a padawan to be hopefully living up to her families legacy of aiding the jedi and the republic or whoever was doing the moral thing within the galaxy. Even getting a chance to access the family holocron as it provided insight into her family. She was getting better she hoped when it came to working with the galaxy. She breathed out a small sigh of relief though when she didn't see a master in the room yet and some of the padawans left.

Jade quietly and casually made her way to the meeting chamber. She wasn't sure why she had been summoned there though. Either way it was more than likely something important she surmised. And if not, it should at least be something of interest either way. Jade finally arrived to her destination. The entrance door to the chamber was wide opened when she arrived. To her surprise, if there had been people around, all but one person who was still present had left. Had she come to the wrong place she mused to herself? No, this was definitely the right place. Jade casually walked up to the sole female in the chamber. A red haired woman wearing body armour. Although why in the name of the Force would she be wearing that. It wasn't like they had gathered at this place for a damn fight. Jade herself was wearing just her simple reddish uniform style clothing. This consisted of a thin jacket and pants, a long pair of back boots as she wore her reddish slightly permed her to her shoulder level. Jade was one who preferred elegance over protective armour, thus when it wasn't necessary to wear armour, she simply chose not to wear it.

"Hi there young lady, how are you doing? It looks like we are the only 2 here, or at least the only 2 who have decided to stay. So what brings us here to this humble place? Oh and by the way, my name is Cynna Jade Sunrider, but you can call me Jade," Jade stood there extending out her right hand, her sounding very voice high pitched.

Morse looked at the woman who entered and raised her eyebrow seeing her, all of her thoughts went to thinking that maybe this was the reason she had been called here. To work with this woman and then she spoke. "I am Morse Sunrider." Wait what had she said her name was? Jade Sunrider? Morse looked at her as she raised an eyebrow and stepped to the side a little getting a feel for the woman in the force. She had said her name was Sunrider but aside from her mother and sister she hadn't met any others... didn't mean there wasn't any family out there possibly. After thousands of years there was bound to be others. "Did... did you say sunrider?" She asked it to her with surprise showing on her face while standing tall. At least they were both in the jedi... that was important.

"Yes indeed I did," Jade said with a grin.

"I'm pleased to meet you Morse." Jade stretched out her hand to shake that of Morse.

"Although I must confess to one thing. I wasn't born a Sunrider. It was my late husband who was. I took his name after we were wed. My family name is Jade, my first name Cynna. By the culture of my late husband, upon marriage, the woman takes his surname, as is the culture of most sentient beings in this galaxy I assume. However the woman drops her first name and her maiden name then becomes her first name. Thus why I call myself Jade Sunrider. Jade is now my first name and Sunrider my family name." Jade humbly explained this to the young Jedi woman who attentively stood and listened before her.

"So what brings you here Morse? Are you are Knight or a Padawan?"

Ah alright then, looking at her with a look on her face though. "I am a padawan, when I was old enough me and my sister were sent to the order. Master Corvus had welcomed us but she has left. For now I just do what I can to support the jedi." She said it with a smile on her face though looking around when one of the jedi appeared in a hologram for them. "Padawan and Knight Sunrider, sorry for the confusion but we didn't know who best to contact. There is something shaping up within the Rift. A strike team was sent within long ago and found a beacon from an old jedi strike team but the proximity to the center of the rift warps space and time. We can't maintain contact on the worlds in there So we are sending you to investigate." Morse was looking at the man and she knew a little about the rift, rumors mostly and there was not a lot of information that came out of it. THe people who lived in it were more private then Hapes.

"Interesting," Jade commented after the holo transmission ended. "Looks like they're in need of Jedi help. Not sure what amount of training you got or whom was your master. I guess you can come with me since I currently have no padawan. And yes, I am aware of Master Corvus' sudden departure. A tragic loss for all of us."

Jade placed her hand gently on [member="Morse Sunrider"]'s shoulder. "Did you get down the co-ordinates of that rift? If so great, if not replay the recording as we walk to the hangar bay to where my ship is. Given the nature of the call and that they appear to be in distress, we best get moving along as quickly as we can. Oh and one last thing, I came here with my TIE Defender, the Soul of Wildcat. Its gonna be a bit of a tight squeeze in it. Unless you have your own ship in which you wish to follow me in with?" Jade then quickly swiveled around and began hurrying along for the hangar bay calling out to the padawan. "C'mon hurry up, let's go."

[member="Cynna Jade Sunrider"]

Morse gave her a nod as she had the directions, getting to the rift was easy it was the other part.. getting into and through it that took time. "I have the directions but it will be harder to navigate the rift, we'll need to make sure there are strong thermal shielding on the ship to handle the plasma clouds and pockets that we will have to go through. Hyperspace and sublight engines will also need to be at full status to travel through there well enough. Most communications do not work aside from the communications net they created that is a solid mesh instead of com channels. If jedi are hiding they wouldn't risk using it as all could hear what is being discussed."

"I guess my ship has all those attributes," Jade said answering [member="Morse Sunrider"]'s question regarding being able to travel through the rift. "After all my TIE is the premium or elite fighter of the Imperial fighter arsenal." Jade continued to say proudly as they finally got to the hangar bay.

"Anyway like I said before, it is gonna be a tight squeeze in my ship. I hope you don't mind the discomfort. It will probably get pretty bumpy and turbulent when we pass through the rift."

Jade looked around at in the hangar bay and realised that it had been deserted, save the odd maintenance droid here and there.

"I'm assuming you have all your gear and weapons with you, so if you wanna hop in first, I'll then jump in right after you. I'll punch in the coordinates you have for where we are going, do a few systems checks and then we'll be on our way."

Jade then gently placed the palm of her hand on Morse's cheek and smiled.

"I'll make sure you stay safe, rest assured." Jade could feel a tinge of nervousness in the padawan's voice. Jade having seen a lot of bad things happen in her life as both a pilot and Jedi, genuinely always made it a concern and interest oh hers to endure that anyone under her command or care was okay and fit for duty. She was certain that Morse would be, but either way still had to make sure. It was her own protective nature. Especially to her padawans or someone else's padawan that just might end up being hers in the end.

She looked at her with a nod of her head and had her gear, the twin sabers on her thigh and the bodyarmor with channeling gloves, her earrings of murr, her sigil and circlet plus some of the other things like the utility belt with several weeks worth of sasori MRE's and her canteen that produced its own water. "Yes I got everything I need on my persons and am used to tight spaces." Morse was ready for anything as she rolled her shoulders looking at the tie fighter and she wished Cynna was using a first order one those were made to at least seat two people in a pilot and gunner. They'd just have to be careful navigating the rift and avoiding all of the large chunks of planet and some asteroids. "I am ready to go, lets head off and go be awesome."

"Very good then my child, very good." Jade smile at the padawan as she motioned for her to get in. Jade was also a proficient mind reader. A trait she learn't long ago and generally kept to herself. Although many a time she would get busted using the talent. Now was about to be one such time.

"It's not a First Order TIE. They're rubbish if you ask me. This is a TIE Defender. Designed during the height of the reign of the Palpatine era. It's a lot faster, manoeuvrable, packs more fire power, has a mega strong shield and obviously has a hyperdrive. I've modded it so it has a back seat. It's still not ideal for long journeys, but at least for this trip, you can clutch on to me or get cozy with me if suddenly it gets a bit rough through the rift." Jade giggled a little as the young padawan hopped in and she in turn followed suit.

Jade did a few quick checks to make sure all was in order. She then waited a couple of minutes for the all clear from control to be allowed to leave the hangar, and soon after did so after getting the all clear. Within minutes they were in space, and seconds after that they entered hyperspace and were well on their way to their destination.

Morse looked at her and provided a look for some of the really nice things when she spoke. "I am good." She was climbing in and going inot the ship with a small look on her face. "I am good and ready, lets go and head out tot he rift." It wasn't a far trip for many with a hyperdrove it was just the dangerous and hard part of navigating it. "Though I don't know about cozy." She took a seat so Cynna could handle the really important thing like flying and keeping them ready. "We'll just have to hope when we get there the jedi teams ship isn't broken otherwise cramming them possibly in here could be even more cramped." She made sure everything was secured again as a process of habit within the order.

"Cramming others in here? Look around kid, the two of us barely fit. If the team in question has lost their ship or have a ship beyond repair, assuming it is damaged that is, we're gonna have a bit of a serious case on hands. I guess we cross that bridge when we come to cross it." Jade mildly responded to the padawan as the two conversed during their flight towards the rift.

"You're absolutely correct Morse. The rift isn't that far at all. We should arrive in an estimated little under 2 hours from now. So, umm, perhaps now is a good time to tell me a little more about yourself. Like say, who is your master, what level of Jedi training have you accomplished, what lightsabre forms are you proficient in, and anything else that spontaneously pops into your head I guess?" Jade spoke with a warm and welcoming voice to the padawan. She knew that she had probably bombarded the young padawan with questions, yet at the same time her tone of voice was very calm and forthcoming.

Morse looked at her as well yeah they would have to cross that bridge if they came to it while she gave a nod of her head. "I am a padawan from Ambria, my family has maintained the sunrider holocron and our homestead on the world for generations since Nomi. I have been trained by my family to learn and start learning how to channel force light and battle meditation but the basic skills of a jedi are not beyond me. Everything within the Sunrider holocron is a guide book to making a jedi refined throughout the ages. Aside from the Qel-Droma and the halcyons there are few other truly skilled jedi families I have met." At least for now, she was hoping for a descendent of the Skywalkers and the Fels to join in so the force families can help lead the jedi.

"I see. You seem to have lots of Jedi knowledge from holocrons. Don't get me wrong, that is good, but do you have an actual master?" Jade had a feeling that she didn't. She had talked much about the holocrons of both the Sunriders and Halcyons, yet didn't mention any names of current masters or Knights, nor did she specify what form of lightsabre training she preferred or was proficient in. Usually under a master, he or she would teach a preferred form or forms of lightsabre training. Morse seemed to have dodged the question.

"Oh and speaking of the Halcyon family, my last padawan was one. Her name Lorna Halcyon. She's now a knight. You know her by any chance? Jade didn't want the young padawan to feel awkward about all the who the master is thing was, so she intentially tried to change the topic a little.

Just then, a small light began beeping on TIE Defender's console. The sound of the beeping gradually grew louder. "We're about to dropout of hyperspace in T-minus 5,4,3,2,1 now." There was a slight blur as the star lines reverted back to the tiny dots of stars in real space. And then a loud thud as the ship began to shake violently. "I guess we're about to enter the rift. Hang in there Morse, the ride's about to get a little rough." And indeed it it. Jade ferociously worked at the controls of her TIE as the ship continued to thud and violently shake. Huge gravity wells were at random invisible locations. They came close to a few causing more violent invisible impacts to hit the ship. The shields held firmly however, for now. It was imperative that Jade go around and bypass the invisible gravity wells. Too many hits were clearly not gonna see them through in one piece. "Okay that's it, screw these co-ordinates, we're taking more hits than I'm comfortable with. It's putting to much strain on the shields and ultimately the structural intergrity of this ship. I'm using the Force to guide us the rest of the way through." Having said that, Jade closed her eyes and concentrated on the Force. With it she could then see it all. The entire make up of the rift they were travelling through. Indeed it was a tricky route to travel. Especially to the non Force sensitive. Jade was then able to pilot her TIE through the rift without further incident, yet it did cost her. The concentration she had used using the Force had exerted a lot of energy. As a result Jade felt exhausted.

"Padawan we are though. Yay!" Jade said as she opened her eyes and almost out of breath. "That sure took a lot out of me." Jade continued to say still breathing heavily. "Morse start scanning the area for the Jedi team. Use the ship's sensors. I just need a few minutes to get my bearings back. I can't sense anything through the Force yet. You?" Jade asked because as far as her own Force remote sensing was concerned, that ability would be shot for a little while due to fatigue.

She was looking at her and she knew Lorna, they had worked together in a small task to try and restore a few sections of the ancient houses. "I know Lorna but I have no master. There was a potential one but they decided to run off and join the Galactic Alliance denouncing the jedi order and saying everything else was corrupt." She shrugged it though while going over some of the things with her attention on the bigger parts of it all. "I have to admit that was quite a sight to behold." She could see the rift when they arrived, the things was massive and obscured planets, ancient secrets and asteroids that were mined the sie of moons so it wasn't the safest place but she was pointing a little. "There are beacons to show where you can get in but the plasma pockets are the only safe way to travel and those are only open for different periods of time."

Prior to entering the rift, Jade was proud to hear of what had become of her former student Lorna. Hearing that the padawan Morse had no master though, or more to the point getting confirmation that she didn't began playing on Jade's mind. "I'm sorry to hear that your potential masters ran out on you. They couldn't taken you with them? What more efficient way than to learn in a live field environment."

The conversion had been cut short due to the shaky arrival at the rift. Jade as previously mentioned managed to get through it unscaved using a combination of the Force and conventional means"

We're here, well through the rift at least." Jade then patiently awaited for the read out of the scan but got nothing. "Morse do you sense anything in the Force?" Jade finally asked turning her head around.

Well going with them would have been meh, in trith she supported democracy and not the military taking over.d the Galactic Alliance was for the most part not interesting or full of people who seemed to go only because it advanced their station with less work. She saw master in the order who were not doing a lot but there leave and become council members. Incentives for leaving and going against ones conscious for advancement was against her as she thought about it and reached out with the force. Sensing it. "No, that is making everything obscured." She was pointing towards the center of the rift as witht he asteroidsa dn planets that were inside were contained within the bubble, a fast moving section of space that was rotating fast and faster further into itself. She knew from reports that there was supposed to be a monolith the size of a sun or two that altered space and time. The facilities were on the edges of it. "Those are where we want to go."

Jade listened to the padawan as she sensed something.

"Facilities are there you say, then I concur with you. There we shall go."

Navigating her TIE Defender carefully, Jade this time chose to use her ship's Nav computer to guide them to their destination rather than the Force. They weren't far from it now, so Jade was confident in her computer's readout that she decided to save her Force energies while she could. She had a feeling she would be needing to call upon the Force sooner than later. The remaining part of the ride was still a little rough though, but caused no further disturbances to either occupant as the finally arrived. Jade spotted the facilities and decided to fly over them. Circling them she conducted a quick scan of the area. "I don't pick up anything, nor do I sense anything in the Force. If the Jedi are indeed here, they could be masking their signatures from within the Force. Do you have any suggestions Morse?" Jade asked as she continued to circle the area.

[member="Cynna Jade Sunrider"]

She didn't have many ideas of what they could do aside land, the rift was a place talked about more then a place you actually went to. The jedi here were different but when you lived in a place where a day on Voss or Ruusan was more like five days here. Time dilation and advancement that meant jedi could study a lot more faster to the rest of the galaxy. "Not right now, there is a feeling in the force but it is strange this close to the bubble." She gave a bow of her head though while she was giving a few of the places within the rift a look. Expanding out her senses to sense what she can find as she leaned back just a little bit, to let Cynna fly them down towards the primary one.

Jade completed another circle of the area before finally landing in an area the padawan had suggested.

"I really need to stretch my feet." Jade commented as she opened the TIE's canopy hatch."C'mon Morse let's take a look around."

Once they were out, Jade looked around. She turned a full 360 degrees taking note of all her surroundings. "Looks like a bizarre barren place. Feels funny here too, my Force abilities that is. You still got your strange feeling?" Jade asked eying [member="Morse Sunrider"] directly.
