Scen Idrod

Cantina Owner/Logistics
A few weeks had passed since Sced and his business partners had arrived on Kal'Shebbol and to their cantina. While it was true that the whole place was... in complete honesty, an absolute tip when they came, Scen was proud to say they had enough finds to do the place up. More or less.

This particular morning, Scen had woken up to take another look at the current requirements for the repairs. They had replaced what they could, notably the tables and tiling, lights, and other hardware. Unfortunately, there was still a lot to do, including wiring, painting, wall replacements and repairs, new equipment and (much to his annoyance) pest problems. Aside that, he also had to deal with their finances (which weren't plentiful) to account for everything they need and for expenses afterwards such as advertisements and running costs, as well as stocks and supplies. Yeah, there was a lot he needed to do.

"Alright guys, wake up. We got a lot we still need to do to get this place up and running, we're down a man now that Vexar has other commitments, and we're on a tighter budget so we need to be able to do a lot more work ourselves and avoid needless expenses."

He looks around the main room and sees he's talking to himself. He frantically looks around before releasing a loud sigh and speaking louder.

"Guys, WAKE UP and get into the main hall! What's the point in investing into this place if we don't get it going!?"

Mason had, in fact, been awake.
He had simply been somewhere considerably less visible.
The sound of Scen's first attempt at rallying the others had earned little more than a muffled grunt from somewhere behind the bar. His second, louder attempt finally drew a response.

A moment later, Mason emerged from the back room with a half-disassembled piece of equipment tucked beneath one arm and a rag hanging loosely from his back pocket. His sleeves were already rolled past his forearms, exposing the collection of old tattoos that ran across his skin, while a smear of grease marked one cheek.

He stopped when he reached the main hall and looked around.
Then at Scen.
Then at the empty room.

"You're yelling at an empty building."

Mason's expression remained remarkably neutral for a few seconds before the corner of his mouth twitched upward.
"That's usually a sign we need to hire somebody."
He set the equipment down on one of the newly replaced tables and gave it a brief inspection before leaning against the edge.
"Though, in fairness, I'm here."

His hazel-green eyes moved around the cantina, taking in the work that had already been completed and, more importantly, everything that still needed doing. The place was certainly less of a disaster than it had been when they'd arrived, but there was no shortage of problems waiting for them.
His gaze eventually settled back on Scen.

"What's the priority?"

There was no complaint in his voice. Mason had learned a long time ago that complaining about work rarely made the work disappear. Usually it just meant you had complained and still had to do it afterward.
He rubbed the grease from his palm with the rag.

"If we're trying to save money, I can handle most of the physical repairs. Wiring is a different story, unless you're planning on watching me electrocute myself for entertainment."

A pause.
"Actually, don't answer that."
Mason pushed himself upright and glanced toward the back of the cantina.
"I'll start on the wall repairs after we figure out what needs replacing versus what just needs somebody with a hammer and enough patience."

He looked toward Scen again, this time with a faintly amused expression.
"And before you start shouting again, I'll go find whoever else is supposed to be awake."
A beat passed.
"Preferably before you wake up the entire neighborhood."
