Remus Adair is an unremarkable human. Slightly portly due to age and his indulgences of vices such as drink and bouts of gluttony. Adair keeps a stern disposition. Neatly combed hair paired with a venomous scowl for anyone who dares intrude or bother him. As far as attire goes, he is almost seen everywhere in proper uniform. Far preferring that than any other clothing. Although when found in a civilian setting, he is something of a preening peacock. Attired in ostentatious gowns plundered from various conquests.

PERSONALITY AND BELIEFS
Remus Harlan Adair is the archetype of a senior imperial staff officer. Having risen through the ranks with a mixture of duplicity, politicking and occasional displays of merit. While in an ideally meritocratic institution, it was Adair’s ability to feign hardcore ideological conviction which saw him ascend to the rank of Vice Admiral under Prefsbelt Command. Along with his habit of throwing subordinates and rivals under the proverbial bus. Adair is a calculated performer when reporting to superiors, happy to present his perspective but eager to change course if he appears to have miscalculated the vibe of the room.
However to his subordinates and rivals, Adair is a vile and monstrous commander. Effective, yes. But more than happy to reallocate positions within his command to endanger the lives of those who have displeased him. As well as choosing to maliciously comply with orders dependent on whether he enjoys the command of superiors or otherwise.
Adair’s views on the Galaxy have hardened. He believes that autocratic authority is the only means to which the Galaxy can be governed effectively. And that society must be martialled militantly with armed and civil service mandatory. Remus also a technosupremacist, a believer that the Force and those who wield it are secondary to the power that can be wielded through conventional weapons. This isn’t to say he is a force agnostic or atheist. He has seen it in action on the battlefield. Rather he believes the machinations of Sith and Jedi are irrelevant compared to the weaponry which can be wielded and manufactured en masse.
STRENGTHS
Steady Under Fire: A veteran of several pivotal battles under the New Imperial Order, Adair is no coward and can be a point of strength to which others may rally. Calm and collected, Adair does his best not to lose his resolve in the thick of battle. He may have a temper, but he will not falter while turbolaser s blaze.
Fighter Commander: Most of Adair’s early service has been aboard frigates and cruisers coordinating bomber groups and interceptor squadrons. Unlike most men of his stature and rank, Adair is a proponent of the importance of fighter craft and is able to capably use them on the battlefield.
WEAKNESSES
Hollow Man: Adair’s politics outside of “imperialism good” are relatively flexible. He is more than happy to compromise on his beliefs to maintain or advance his own position. When pressed on issues he will often cave rather than risk his own neck. A lesson learned after serving Carlyle Rausgebers command staff.
Grudgematch: Remus holds grudges. Great big ones. Should a subordinate underperform or even worse slight him, they will be given an either degrading or dangerous duty. Adair often plays subordinates against each other. But when it comes to rivals elevated above him? Remus will do anything to undermine their authority. Even going just short of sabotage.
HISTORY
Born in the Dosuunian capital of Avalonia, Remus Harlan Adair was the son of a clerk and merchant banker. Rather than enter the family business he joined the local defence force as an enthusiastic officer cadet. Later graduating to Lieutenant. Upon the First Order’s arrival and conquest, Remus became an enthusiastic supporter. Believing that the militancy the First Order provided was a fantastic stepping stone for society, it formed Remus into an ardent imperialist.
Adair served with distinction during the First Order-Galactic -Alliance war and eventually made captain. He was tenured to a position within Grand Admiral Carlyle Rausgeber’s 6th Fleet as a the commanding officer of a frigate. A position her served until the collapse of the First Order and Rausgeber’s retreat to Pa’Desh.
Upon the submission of Rausgeber into the rebelling New Imperial Order by way of Prefsbelt Command, Adair was promoted to Commodore. He was at the Battle of Bastion among other critical engagements against the Sith Empire and later Silver Jedi and Galactic Alliance.
