A man who embodies the ideals of aristocracy and old-age Imperialism, Reginald Kardal is a natural politician. Instead of a morally and ideologically inclined stance on issues that affect the Empire, he is a staunch supporter of realpolitik, meaning that he always attempts to see the matter at hand in a practical, fact-financed manner that has gained him praise from his former and current peers.
Reginald keeps in line with the idea of restoring the old Galactic Empire, not much unlike the one that Emperor Palpatine ruled. He does not believe in the doctrine of a 'more Pellaeon-than-Palpatine' government, but he does agree that only a monarch, vulnerable without the backing of other items such as a parliament that could act like a regency council in times of crisis, is a weakness that shattered the Empire, and their own if they do not ensure the balance.
While never failing to apply practical means, Reginald does indeed have a fiercely (some would argue extremist) loyal view of the now-Galactic Empire, being old enough to serve in several of the resurgent Imperial factions from many years past, enough so that he shares a common stance with many other Imperials, the belief that the ends do indeed justify the means.
Unlike his colleagues he is not one to order the complete and systematic eradication of a populace just to serve as a symbol of Imperialism, he makes sure that every possible consequence for this action is not one that could bring harm the integrity of his Empire. Some would go as far as to call him cunning in this respect, which is not far from the truth, he has been responsible in orchestrating the downfalls of political opponents and even his own superiors.
If being older than all of the current galactic powers was a requirement to being a high ranking official in the Galactic Empire, on the exterior Reginald Kardal would have all of his allies and enemies beaten by a solid decade, having reached the ripe age of 'sixty-eight'. His skin retains a fair complexion, very nearly blending in with his silver hair and his whiter beard.
The man stands at a height of exactly six feet, having shrunk a handful of inches due to his advanced age, this height slightly mismatches his broad, formerly athletic body build. Overall, several people have actually described Reginald as having the look of a 'grandfather', the man himself having scoffed but agreed anyway, stating that charisma was more than just words.
