Description:
The Imperial army and the various Imperial Intelligence Agencies have a long standing tradition of dealing with Force Users. As the vast majority of the Imperial citizens are not Force Users, such is the same for those who serve in its armed forces with various small exceptions, such as the Imperial Knights. However, when dealing with the galaxy as a whole it become necessary to deal with individuals who rather enjoy using lightsabers and Force powers to beat around their opponents, which leaves the average individual at a severe disadvantage. Given the desire to not be totally disadvantaged when dealing with these issues, the Imperial Legionnaires were formed as a small, tight knit group (no more than 20, and a preference for PCs), that were to be trained in dealing with these particular individuals. As a preference, they were also to be used for the ISB's Force Tracking Squad as well, so they were equipped for dealing with potential rogue entities.

In order to make this a viable possibility, the need for specially designed equipment was rather evident. Given that most sources of lightsaber resistant materials were controlled by galactic entities, one option was the acquisition of Phrikite Ore from Gromas 16 through the use of military force. This acquisitions was made and a new set of armor was forged with specially designed wings that allow for the wearer to make controlled drops into a drop zone without the need for a shuttle craft to actually land them. No, this is not a jetpack. They are not propelled through any means other than gravity. It is for controlling their fall only.

While yes this armor is made of Phrikite Ore, which makes it resistant to blasters and lightsabers, it is very limited in quantity. In addition, because of the bulky size, it makes it somewhat cumbersome, requiring a great deal of strength to wear it and use it effectively, subsequently making a person slower when it comes to moving about. There are weak points at the joints where a blade could slip in, but this is necessary to allow movement of limbs. Additionally, the power pack for the wings is subject to damage, which could cause a small explosion, subsequently seriously damaging the armor and wounding the person wearing it. The visor within the helmet is not made of a blaster or lightsaber impervious material, making it also a viable opening for damage, but these have been deemed acceptable weaknesses by the Legionnaires and Regent Industries.

Based on your development thread and the similarities to canon armor such as Katarn class II, I see no reason this should not be approved.

Pending secondary.
