Red had been busy for weeks on end, gathering materials. She had poured her heart and soul into trying to repay the man who had helped get her off her own warship alive.
Mand'Alor The Iron was more than her leader. Mand'Alor The Iron was an inspiration to her. A friend.
And she owed it on her family honor to give a man who had done so much for her the best equipment possible.
The materials were amongst the most exotic she could make for armor and weapons. Her breadth of knowledge had been poured into it, day and night, the task so personal she could only do most of it herself. Kassandra hadn't been allowed to help with the Beskar Forging, but she had been allowed to help in forging the Agol'Gam as well as advice on how to craft one of the weapons in Kassandra's databanks. Endless days of work at the forge and design table. Refining, tempering, hammering, sharpening.
But finally, finally...it was all finished. Red was beyond exhausted, but hid this in her full silver and crimson armor as she finally told Kassandra Beskar'ad it was time she invited Aether over to her small forge shop in Keldabe.
"My friend, you take entirely too much burden upon yourself..." Kassandra said, wearing her standard silver armor weave catsuit as she treated Red for exhaustion as she had throughout the whole process, making sure she drank water and ate light, injecting her with bacta.
"It was necessary...when someone does for you what Aether did for me...you will understand, my friend..." Red assured her. "I owed this to him...and so did you. If he had not rescued me...you may have still been sleeping in that pawn shop..."
Kassandra raised an eyebrow.
"True." She mused. "How are we going to get him over here?"
"I'll invite him over for tea, tell him I made him a few things." Red answered as she sipped some water, rapidly recovering. Kassandra was amazed by her recovery rate. "Simple."
"Are you sure he'll go for that?" Kassandra asked.
"Aether liked the ale I brought to that one festival...plus there was all that chaos with the grave song bit... there's a good enough shot he will show. We just have to wing it."
Red turned to face her.
"And Kass...thanks...for being there..."
"No trouble, Ge'Tal..." Kassandra replied. "Let's see if he bites."
Red went to a terminal and sent out a transmission to Aether, inviting him over for tea...and saying she had some surprises for him.
Red then spent the entire rest of that time between her call and his arrival dozing off to sleep until a vision awoke her literally twenty minutes before he showed. Kassandra was seeing to the general upkeep of the shop while she had snoozed. Red prepared tea in large crimson cups. The kind you prepare for wanting someone to stay and enjoy themselves...
