Red Hairs Aren't Genetic (Rikki & Natalie)

Cross didn't know what had been going through his head while he was dreaming, but his eyes snapped open as he woke up with his arm around Rikki. He suddenly felt like they were... alone. Very alone. They were together... but that was it? They weren't even married yet, but he already felt that he and his loving golden princess were isolated. He cuddled up to Rikki and sighed a little bit sadly.
"Rikki... are we isolated? From other people, I mean..."

Meanwhile, Natalie was staring up at the sky from the small mess of blanket that was her only protection from the cold night air. She stared up at the sky, sighing softly as her thought once again drifted to the parents she had lost three years ago. The young girl missed having a family. She missed having someone to talk to, to hold her when she was sad, to congratulate her when she learned a new skill, or did something worthy of praise. She missed having someone to call mom and dad. She rolled onto her side, trying to push the thoughts from her mind so she could get a few hours of sleep. She hated being so alone. [member="Cross Ikon"] [member="Rik'Tani"]

Rik'Tani

Cross's Gold-skinned Princess
Rikki gave Cross a very groggy "hmm" as she rolled over to face him. Not even married, and he was worrying about seeing other people?
"I guess we don't have as many friends as we'd like. But I don't know... I've never had a problem with being alone. Guess that happens when you're an only child to pirate-Zabrak parents."

Cross smirked a little, taking the hand that Rikki had her engagement ring on.
"Well, I mean... My only friends are probably you, Aedan, and Nomad... Romeo, too, except he's strange. By my count, that leaves me with four space wizards, including my fiancee... I used to be a relatively social guy, too. And when I first met you, we went out to parties kind of often. Maybe we should start again."

Natalie yawned and stretched as she sat up. The small mess of worn out blankets she had collected and used as a bed when she slept on the streets slid down into her lap. She blinked a few times, trying to clear the fog of sleep from her mind and sighed softly. She'd had a dream that her family was still alive. Part of her hoped that she'd wake up and find that the last two year had simply been a nightmare, that she'd be at home in her bed waking up the smell of her father cooking breakfast, but as always, that reality was too good to be true. "I just wanna go home," she mumbled softly, staring up at the sky. [member="Cross Ikon"] [member="Rik'Tani"]
