Description:
The Structure Reinforcement was originally thought up when Corruck required temporary structures, that ReCal would be using, to be capable of surviving in most weather conditions. The scientists of ReCal responded with plating as above, each octagon is 20cm across. The design is meant to give much stability and absorption to the wall on which it is placed. The design makes each plate hold a certain amount of stress and weight before it breaks. The pattern in which they are placed allows a few plates to fail without losing the majority of its integrity. Because it is made of Duraplast, the plates can absorb a small amount of blaster fire, however this was not kept in mind during creation. The plates attach to the structure with a one-time use adhesive.
Strengths:
+Increases the strength and integrity of the walls/ceilings/floors on which it is placed
+Capable of absorbing a single blaster shot before crumbling
+The plating can be used on starships of larger design, however it will not survive reentry
+The plating protects standing structures from the effects of the cold, heat, and grating of sand/similar substances
Weaknesses:
-Plating is not sufficient shielding from extremely powerful sunlight
-Lightsabers will quickly cut through the plating
-A building requires many of these plates to completely cover it
-Once these plates are in place they cannot be moved
-Can only absorb a single blaster pistol shot then will crumble, stronger blaster fire will penetrate with ease
