Reaping the Benefits

Time had passed and Galven felt it was time to speak with the leader of her planet once more. He didn't ride his Flagship as he didn't need to show off or be intimidating to someone who he considered in ally. He exited warp in his Redeemer-class over Sekalus and looked out the viewport with a smirk. "We've arrived sir, what is our next step?" The officer requested after walking up to Galven. Galven took a breath and turned slowly, "I'll be entering a shuttle to prepare talks on the planet. Go ahead and make the necessary landing requests and tell them what we're here for, officer." The officer nodded and saluted Galven, off to continue his duties.

"Attention Planet Sekalus, this is the Redeemer-class Taiken. Imperator Galven Solomon has returned and wishes to have the talks that were agreed upon. He is requesting clearance to land."

The weather was becoming colder and more cloudy since the season change. Rain was more often and winds more harsh. Like many days she spent her time in the office or on the station with her companies office been shifted there. As she prepared her stuff to head up Maria would enter the room. "Miss swift. A Mr [member="Galven Solomon"] is requesting requesting permission to land due to some business. Where would you like me to tell him to land?" Sanya would look at the droid. "Urrm have him to meet me on the ring Maria. Send word up to grant his landing and someone to show him to my office." She said heading out to her speeder.

"Redeemer-class taiken please inform Mr Solomon to head to docking bay six two seven. Someone will be waiting to escort him to Miss swifts office." The droid said over the com's. As for Sanya she'd climb into the speeder and power it up. In seconds it would lift off the platform and extend for the thrusters to gain the immediate speed to brake atmosphere. It took several minutes before she was above the planet and coming into land at the station.

Galven was dressed up today, not in his usual military attire - a true occasion, of course. He had to look nice as he was doing business with his faction and company, and also having a meeting with the Queen of Sekalus. "Sir, you've been granted permission to land. Location is on the ring; bay six two seven. Have a good time, sir." Galven felt safe and confident enough to show ue had trust in the Queen of the planet he had saved just weeks ago, so he didn't bring any escort and piloted the shuttle himself - of course, with a co-pilot, being best at commanding, not piloting.

Galven looked over to his co-pilot and placed a hand on his shoulder, "I know, you want to return to your family soldier. I'm doing my best to make sure you don't have to risk your life and ensure their protection." The pilot was a little edgy, and concerned about the recent expenditure of the faction, "I know, sir. I'll be patient. If not for you, I'd still be a dog in someone elses war, you've at least kept me and my family out of it. I give you that, at least. We're docking sir, have a good time with the Queen." Galven smiled and nodded, reassuring the man. "Soon, we'll all have a little vacation, yeah?"

As the shuttle landed inside the bay, Galven looked around. He was expecting to meet someone to be taken to miss Swift.

Her speeder would land in a bay four spaces from the one [member="Galven Solomon"]. These where the ones for high profile people where all belongings would be monitored every second of the day and watched by security personnel. As for the one she landed it it was reserved for just her with deadlocks on the door and ten inches thick. As Sanya stepped out she would stretch her legs and arms before walking to the door and pressing in the passkey. As the door opened she'd waste no time heading for the elevator. The man was probably already waiting in the office or she'd beat him there with hope. After all been late was never a good appearance.

The elevator soon stopped to small corridor with a closed glass double doors in front. The office was placed right at the top with mostly windows to look out. In the centre a large black and gray ovel table with ten chairs around it. On the table was a holo projector and a small terminal built into it. She walked around the table and sat in her seat. She'd gotten there first and would be able to see him arrive.

Eventually greeted the man who was supposed to escort him, but it was a quick and short introduction. Which was fine, for what was currently going on. Eventually they arrived at miss Sanya's office and Galven smiled, extending his hand if she would shake it. "Greetings miss Sanya," he started, taking a seat. "Before we begin, I want you to know, GOMM, and I, recognize and respect your title and position of the planet, and I hope nothing I say makes you think otherwise. As we discussed, I'd like to begin construction of the GOMM Embassy - now, to reassure you, the Embassy doesn't mean I am given an opportunity or attempting to seize control. This is to establish relations between us since I don't nor won't ever get involved in your politics. I ak here to aid in your protection, free of charge, not challenge your rule. Also, I'd like to set up a factory here, which I will gladly pay for, for my company; GOMM Industrial. Oh and, while I am here, I' d like to pick up whatever you have to reward me for saving your planet. Hate to sound greedy, but I feel it's the best opportunity. Would you mind giving me a list of the items?"

Sanya would watch as the elevator door opened with the escort and Mr soloman stood inside. HHer eyes would keep fixed on the man as he walked through the glass double doors and around the table. He'd hold out his and and Sanya would follow for a handshake. "Hello Mr Solomon. Please take a seat." She would listen to him getting straight to the point. Although a few things popped up she wanted to say. "Constricting an embassy I do not agree with... however I can make sure you have a big enough building to operate this embassy in. But firstly I'd need to know what operations you'd be dealing with. Like humanitarian and things like that. Secondly I would like any jobs to be primarily for my people first and others secondly. With the exception of delegates form other worlds to represent themselves if that is the case. As for political stances we are a neutral world and I would very much like to keep that freedom for my people. Those wishing to bring the world into their fold I'd expect your full support to help me fend off those who wish to do so." She would say while quickly typing everything down for a record.

"As for a factory what production would you be developing and would these products create any harmful chemicals or waste? If so I would need you to make sure beforehand that you have a proper way of filtering, and that all waste would not be dumped on this world or in this system. We are proud of our clean environment and would hope to keep it like so for many generations to come." After all most of the world was still natural. The majority of settlements where small except luss where most reside in. There was still the matter of the reward she had a smile on her face about it though. "Provided you keep production clean I'll provide the factory for free and a wear house for ships to collect. For the rest of your reward you can chose a few small things from my company or something more expensive. If it interests you I've recently developed a jet pack that currently is better than any on the current market for flight time."

"Miss Swift," he started softly, "I want to remind you I will not be challenging your rule or doing anything to compromise your position. The Embassy gives an entirely full excuse to wage war on anyone who dares to enact war on this planet. Of course, GOMM laws would apply within the Embassy, but that was nothing to do with the purpose of placing an embassy here. GOMM protects those they see are decent and upstanding. The Embassy is a symbol to any who wish to lead an attack on the planet that GOMM would send equal forces to fight it back. This requires no charge on your part, but rewards are a kind gesture to pay my people. The Embassy isn't to test your claim of the world, and is merely a base for immediate protection until GOMM forces arrive to push back any enemy. We can also set up a GOMM SpaceFort overhead to keep ships at the ready and fueled by our own costs, if you would like. I know how it looks, a faction trying to claim the space of your world, but as a faction, we do not claim territory, really. In the grand scheme of things you might appear within our realm of influence, but we do not get involved in a planets politics, nor do we force them to comply with our law. The influence cloud would mean 'this world is under the protection of GOMM, leave now or be fired upon.' That is all the intent, I assure you. It would be exceedingly rare for GOMM to take control of a planet, as if they would need to own or claim space, it would be via a massive space station instead."

"As for the factory, miss Swift, you need not worry. The factory will be another place we construct our ships, you see our main factory can not make anything larger than a medium freighter, and our secondary factory is slow to creating anything large. There will be no chemicals, there would be a location on planet for you to purchase and have access to our special material - a gift from me, if you so ever to try out our symbolic Swatrium, and it would serve as ready spacecraft at your defense." He leaned in, smiling, "You see miss Swift, my every intention here is to give you peace of mind, I spend my resources so you don't have to, giving you permanent protection. I don't mean to make it sound like you are weak, but you are admirable and worthy of support. On behalf of GOMM, I would like to transfer one million credits to your company, to help in production of a military defense force that you can create on your means for your planet. And as for rewards, I'd like as many crates as Phrik as you would humbly supply me with."

Galven stopped for a moment, taking a breath. "I am so terribly sorry, Queen Sanya, please grant me forgiveness as I haven't even properly greeted you... how have things been after the battle? How are you doing?"

It was certainly a mouth full he said but she couldn't argue. "Very well. As I said I'll have a building sorted out for you but it might take up to two weeks till a suitable location is ready. Your ships for the time being may use the hangers on this ring, but the larger vessels that won't be docked will need to leave room for ships coming that have just been built or shipments coming in. This should give you time to set up a station a couple of kilometers out."

"As for the factory wouldn't it be better to to make the station and have dry docks for ship building? I mean that's if you build anything big. It would also increase building time with the use of zero gravity. As for smaller components I have a few unused factory's on the outskirts of luss you can use. They already have conveyors and the equipment to move large things around. Though I'm not entirely sure if it all works. Building the world up to the industrial level has been a challenge. Giving the people the correct education takes time." It was logical sense though.

Non of her production for ships was done in the atmosphere. Although the second he mentioned phrik that was slightly out of her hands. "Phrik is a tricky subject. The rights to the mines belong to the communities that claim them and are in their district and I completely respect that. The only places I'm able to get Phrik myself without upsetting a community is in the ilet dunes. Thats because of Charon that have inhabited some of the mines. They are deadly and the communities there really appreciate the removal of them. Although I don't like to kill so I'm trying to find a way to subdue them and have them relocated, and yes luckily the areas that had been effected didn't suffer much damages. The station got a few scratches but that was sorted in the matter of weeks."

Galven thought for a moment, averting his eyes to what Sanya said before coming to a decision. "Nevermind, on the Phrik. I do not wish to take from the community, and I do not have the means to get rid of these creatures without killing them. We will think of something in the future. But... what kind of a man would I be if I saved these people and didn't give them a life? Miss Swift, would you allow me to support your planet and your rule? I wish to invest in the schools of the planets, and no no, I don't want control of anything. The credits will have no names tied to them. Let these people know there are others who care. We will reopen these factories to produce goods, services, and jobs for the planet. No chemicals, of course. I'd like to send an entire passenger load team to help fix the damages, move rubble, and help rebuild, if you wouldn't mind. Don't bother... asking why I wish to do all of this. It's silly, it's..." He stood up and straightened his jacket, taking a breath.

"My purpose in this position is not for compliance or greed, my mission is to serve, protect, and improve. Whether you believe me, I leave that up to you. When we encounter situations like these, you should always expect me to react in this way. Anyway, a Dock and Refueling station near the planet, a simple drydock, improvement of facilities and schooling on the planet, the embassy, and we can speak rewards another time. Thank you, for allowing me to be here." He reached his hand out one last time for a hand shake. Galven was going to be spending a lot of GOMM's currency, which he had to return to quickly find a way to balance the non-profit margin so their future endeavors wouldn't quickly hit pit stops.
