Strengths:
Lifetime Guarantee- It's reliable to the extreme, torture tested individually to meet the toughest standards of military personnel. The lack of moving parts and the Synthmesh lining on the barrel are the reason behind it's reliability.

I can't feel my shoulder Drill- This weapon kicks hard, it takes time to get used to it.
You call that a grouping?- It's only accurate at a certain range (274 meters) , after that it requires a real marksman to hit what you aim at due to the fixed iron sights.
Why isn't it ever a sub machine gun? - It's heavy for a battle rifle even without the ammo, many soldiers will just not like it and prefer more comfortable weapons like the E-11 or the F-11D.
Hearing protection, Use it - It's very loud and firing the weapon without proper ear protection could cause damage to hearing.

The MK-97 Is a weapon designed by a grunt of the OS but never coming to reality until met with the RCFC. The necessity to stop greater numbers of enemies, making every shot count and noting how some soldiers would fight on after being shot with blaster bolts in the chest he set out to design something that would put the enemy down and take him out of the fight.
A higher caliber of rifle, stopping power in mind and with maximum reliability. Individually tested to ensure each rifle that comes out the door is meeting with standards down to the caliper millimeters. The wood for the but stock is made from Boa-Wood, hard and durable, individually crafted.
