  • Intent: Raz has need of a face-concealing helmet on a set of combat-grade body armor and her tastes are very particular. Also Ivara's pretty and I wanted to make armor out of her.
  • Image Source: Artstation - Alessandro Sarritzu, Warframe's "Ivara"
  • Canon Link: Camo scout armor with some extras
  • Primary Source: N/A

  • Manufacturer: Assembled by Razelle Breuner, largely from Jeager Solutions parts
  • Affiliation: Razelle Breuner
  • Model: N/A
  • Modularity: No
  • Production: Unique
  • Material: Armorweave, plasteel, photoreactive fibers, the usual suspects

  • Energy & Ion Resistance: The armorweave make of the Albatross gives its wearer solid protection against blasters, which is handy when fighting... just about everyone, actually. Likewise, both the armorweave base and the databracer components are shielded against EMP and ion attacks, making the whole suit much less vulnerable to electrical damage.
  • Harsh Environment Shielding: The base component of the Albatross is a high-quality enviro-suit, to which Razelle added to the armorweave and plasteel. This allows the wearer to operate in extreme conditions without concern, from desert planets to ice balls to toxic swamps to the vacuum of space. No matter where the mission takes it, the Albatross can always handle it.
  • Utility: Between the "acquired" Templar-issue utility belt and Razelle's old FOSB U-One databracer, the Albatross can handle a lot of different tasks, from scanning to communication to mobility. The wearer is afforded a pretty sizable toolbox of options to approach any given problem with.
  • Stealth: On command, the Albatross can activate a set of photoreactive fibers, which absorb and reflect the light around them almost flawlessly. The result is a form of active camouflage that allows the wearer to become exceptionally difficult to track with traditional vision. Even after spotting the telltale "shimmer" of active camo, pinpointing the wearer well enough to aim or visually track is prohibitively frustrating.

  • HUD Vulnerability: Despite most of the Albatross being ruggedly resistant to electrical attacks, the helmet HUD is very weak to ion damage. It's effectively fried and must be replaced after each brush with EMP, ionic effects, or general electrical damage. This can cause some severe inconvenience and sometimes disorientation for the wearer in pitched combat.
  • Susceptible to Lightsabers: Armorweave with supplemental plasteel plating offers very little protection against lightsabers. The wearer's best option is to avoid them entirely.
  • Vision Spectrum: The photoreactive fibers coating the Albatross are designed for human eyes. Other species that see in a different light spectrum like Talz, Trandoshans, and most nocturnal creatures aren't affected by the visual distortion. Any advanced helmet HUD or droid with decent optics and independent AI could also switch to infrared or ultraviolet to achieve largely the same effect.
  • Weak to Sonic Attacks: This armor provides no special protection against sonic attacks, apart from the native defense of wearing good-quality armorweave and plasteel. Weapons-grade sonic assault is a surefire way to affect the Albatross.

Cobbled together from a bunch of easily-accessible materials - and a trophy from her past in the very beginnings of FOSB - Razelle's personal armor is a specialist set designed to handle odd jobs. It's combat-functional, and indeed against most enemies makes her quite effective, but its primary purpose is to provide Raz with an all-access pass to any terrain she needs to operate in.

Since Raz's job description essentially requires her to be ready to be dispatched to "wherever," the ability to operate in a variety of environments is paramount. To this end, she's spliced together a whole mess of things into a very busy but quite practical assembly of light components that add up to a fantastic scout or pathfinder suit. The Albatross (named after her current handle) is effectively a suit of harsh environment camo scout armor with a few bells and whistles added on.

Taking inspiration (and a few components) from the versatile Obsidian-Type Strike Armor, the Albatross incorporates a Swiss army knife of varied components, from a databracer to a grappling line, a flame projector to magnetic boots. This allows it to adapt to many situations that most standard-issue armor simply isn't cut out to handle. In addition to that, its enviro-suit base affords incredible protection against all but the most hostile of environments.

Razelle stripped off the plating from a suit of camo-scout armor in the process of creating her mishmash personal suit, and as a result the photoreactive fibers can give her a formidable measure of concealment against vision in the normal light spectrum. While this fails against most forms of enhanced vision, including the thermal optics present in a large number of armor HUDs, it's extremely effective against the unenhanced biological eyes of the majority of the galaxy's sapient species.

Naturally, running photoreactive fibers, life support, a sophisticated datapad, and a high-end HUD suite all at once takes quite a bit of power. To meet this need, the Albatross has been fitted with a number of supplementary power generators. Installed at the shoulders and hips, Razelle's main points of balance, these do add a bit of weight to what would otherwise be a rather light suit of armor. That said, the component parts' strong ion shielding and additional plasteel plating makes them rather less vulnerable than their position would imply.

While she's imminently practical, Razelle opted for a very distinctive helmet to contain that advanced HUD package. Surely this will have no impact on her actions in the future.
