Rationale

As the CEO of one of the biggest corporations in the Galaxy and a powerful political figure in the Outer Rim territories, Jared Ovmar is in an unique situation. With the power coming from being in his position as the High Councilor of the Confederation he is able to afford certain liberties in common procedure and business, with the money coming in from Santhe Corporation Jared has the cash to fulfill almost anything that he sets his mind on. After forming several holding companies under pseudonyms and mind-controlled minions, he used them to buy up all the stocks of the struggling company called Raven Industrial, it does not come as a surprise that the various stockholders were very much inclined to give away their stocks for a bargain price. Atleast not if you are used to Jared Ovmar’s way of doing business.

Description

History

Raven Industrial is by all means an old corporation, and by old we mean Old. One Augustine Raven created the first chapter of the Company back in the old days of yore, back when the Galactic Republic was still only a glim in the eyes of the various bureaucratic bodies that embodied the Inner Core and surrounding areas. Even then Raven Industrial was a fairly unsubstantial company, while other corporations were hoping to create the biggest and finest of starships, the most powerful blaster cannons in the history of the Galaxy and yet others distanced the stars in pursuit of rare minerals and resources Raven Industrial stayed firm in its conviction of the small and little things that mattered. They specialized and focused their entire company on little, ingenious parts in droids, cutting-edge software that increased the efficiency of their users, operating systems which were known for their stability and ease of use and more.

Of course, this all had a drawbacks. Focused on the small things made sure that they stayed out of the public eye and with that out of the minds of the people. This meant that profits were always on the down-low and the descendants of Augustine had to cut corners wherever possible; all accumulating into the crash of the company soon after the battle of Yavin.

The company and its roots fell into obscurity until today. After thousands of years someone found the remnants of the company, still in slow, slow operation with a single repair shop on Etti IV. Intrigued by its history the man took control over the holdings and established a firm new route for the company.

Acquisition

As previously stated the company of Raven Industrial has existed for a long time as a single repair shop on the planet of Etti IV. Said shop was tucked away in the folds of the street plan of the inner-city, few people came ‘round for any business whatsoever and yet it spluttered on. Relying upon the meagre few clientele which came round to fix up their broken droids and other apparati for a bargain price. Not so much illegal, as much as a grey area in the law of the Corporate Sector.

One man was impressed by this show of effort and decided to take a chance. Santhe Corporation was firmly rooted in the business of building fighters, capital ships, guns, guns and more guns and transportation vehicles. Ovmar wanted something else, he wanted… more. Old stocks were still in circulation, though they were mostly useless in value after such a long time. More a rare commodity for the occasional nostalgic soul than anything else. It didn’t take long for Ovmar to track down the various holders and convince them to part with their old relics.

Quickly followed by convincing the shop owner, a certain Archibald Augustine Raven to part with his old shop in return for enough cash to spent his old days in comfort and relaxation. Everyone happy, Ovmar set off into a new course with the company. Renaming Raven’s Repair Shop into the old, ancient name of Raven Industrial. Patents for that name had long since expired, and as such he bought them up again, registering them under the pseudonyms and names of mind-controlled minions of his.

In addition he kept open the old repair shop, renovating it into new glory. Which was quickly followed by buying up spare lands and abandoned buildings around the shop, to create space for future factories and more.

For now there was two buildings, the shop, a newly created small-time factory adjourning it and additionally a holoweb address where people could order customized parts and submit other requests.
