PERSONALITY AND BELIEFS

Ra is like most Carvers is devoted to the Art Beyond Dying or The Beyond, which Carvers believed was an afterlife that they would achieve through holy war. Ra is committed to becoming worthy of the Beyond, and fights ardently to merit eternal life. His tribe, the V'Dum means "Blood", and traces back to the Ancestors, the first Carvers, whom he venerates in prayers. Ra is a ruthless warrior on the battlefield, though he is not a brute, he hold himself to a form of Honor, known as The Carve, in which one carves a life that will be noble and acceptable to admittance in The Beyond.

STRENGTHS

Cunning:
Many expect because of his great bearing and strength he is simply a brute, when he is very cunning and makes stratagems.

Duelist:
Ra is a great duelist, challenging many of his tribe to fight, he goes by the prayer in battle,
"May my blade be sharp. May I sculpt a new fate for my enemies." (Dark Times 2)

Augmented Body:
Most Carvers have lanky bodies, but Ra has a stout and rather large body, which was done by process called Transcendence. The result is that he also possesses other unique qualities such as great strength, agility, and intelligence, as well as gave him mandibles rather than a beak, and dark charcoal skin rather than the traditional gold skin. Though he posses the orange blood of his people.

WEAKNESSES

Lower Back Pain:
His augmentation has made the base of his spin ache and have lots of pain.

Neck Pain:
Because he is hunched unlike his brethern, it puts strain on his neck causing pain.

Zealot:
His craving to be worthy of the Beyond makes him charge into battle and take some great risks.

Nightmares:
His augmentation has given him nightmares of the process.

HISTORY

Raavar V'dum was born as most Carvers on Batorine into the V'dum tribe, one of the oldest tribes of his people who could trace their linage back to The Ancestors. Being a descended of The First Carve, has made Raavar a zealot. With his every breath he seeks to bring honor to his tribe, and wage the war that will give him and his tribe the merit to enter The Beyond. At a young age, Ra was subjected to a process of science and alchemy called The Transcendence, old Rakatan technology that helped mutate his body into a great burly and powerful shell. While many of his people are Assassins, their bodies not fit for armor, he and his Ring, a term for the old tree ring, are an elite class of warriors who have undergone mutation to become formidable defenders of their tribe. While he wages combat against others Carver tribes, he has been preparing for the day when he will join the greater wars, and gain glory to enter The Beyond. That Day has Come!
