  • Affiliation: Closed-Market, only Czelosmertians with military experience and PMCs with Czelosmertian connections may purchase this.
  • Modularity: The Ratnik's main modularity is how much armor you can mount on it, opting for a light load with better movement and more carrying capacity or a heavy armor load that will allow for more protection.

SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Easily configured for different armor loads.
  • High compatible with breathing apparatuses due to Czelosmertian design.
  • Quick release system allows operators to be detached from their exoskeleton and their heavy armor to allow for easy escape in case of hydraulics failure.
Strengths:

  • Highly resistant to blaster damage - At its base configuration, it is very resistant to all forms of small arms blaster fire. However, it's base configuration is the most armor it can safely take, so it cannot have Extreme protection without risk of serious medical injury due to hydraulics failure.
  • Heavy lifting - This armor was design with Czelosmertian special forces doctrine in mind, that being, one man per ten man squad is the designated heavy support weapons specialist. He carries with him a massive blaster weapon that would not normally be operated by one man. As a result, it is very easy to lift extreme loads in this armor and handle heavy weaponry.
  • Simple - Ratnik power armor is designed so even the most foolish of users can use it safetly.

Weaknesses:
  • Exposed hydraulics system - While this exoskeleton carries a tremendous amount of anti-blaster armor and can wield large weaponry with ease, its power comes from large, externally operated hydraulics system. Piercing one of the hydraulics tubes can result in weakened power, enough damage to hydraulics servos and tubes will result in complete exoskeletal failure.
  • Exposed power pack - Not intended for close quarters combat, Ratnik power armor derives its power from an obvious power pack located on the small of the user's back.
  • Slow speed and agility - If used at its default armor load, the user cannot go much faster than a light jog and jumping proves impossible.
  • Vulnerable to light sabers - No matter what type of armor is mounted, the external hydraulics system will always be defeated by light sabers.
DESCRIPTION
Ratnik power armor was first developed for use by Czelosmertian special forces in 840 ABY. Seeing great success in the mountains of Zhilaseraya, where it was used to lay down heavy weapons support that originally only a team of 4-5 men operating a crew served weapon could provide. It was made in limited numbers due to its high production cost and the limited amount of buyers Burodniyy Plant could muster for it outside of the military. It came into the hands of the Czelosmertian underground and Czelosmertian private soldiers, where it was used in a much more off-doctrinal role as a close quarters heavy weapons system. While a massive hulking exoskeleton with a large blaster does prove to be a difficult opponent at close ranges, the Ratnik was developed for being a weapons support base, not a direct offensive armor suit.
