This section is here to describe the different ranks in our organization and their roles.
About the Government
The Syndicate runs on a communist style totalitarian democracy. The big decisions of the Syndicate are made by a committee made up of "The Boss" and his crime lords, this committee is called the Ring of Fire (A reference to the round, red conference table they meet at.) The Crime Lords have complete control over the areas they are put in charge of, however, the Ring of Fire can vote to overrule any members decision if it is believed to be in the interest of the SSS. Likewise, "The Boss" can overrule any democratic vote and pretty much do whatever he feels necessary. In this organization, democracy is a luxury and not a right.
Governmental Ranks
"The Boss" - The Boss is the big cheese of the organization. He holds complete power over all mercenary deployments and criminal operations. In the event that "The Boss" is killed there is no established way to pass down his rule, meaning it would be a battle royal to see who took up his mantle.
Crime Lords - The Crime Lords help "The Boss" rule over his criminal enterprise. They make sure that the operations in their sphere of influence are running smoothly and deal with any minor issues. They do not have any say over the deployment of the mercenary force, but can command anyone in the Criminal Ranks.
Appointed Overseer - Overseers are persons in the criminal or mercenary ranks who have been chosen by either "The Boss" or a Crime Lord to watch over a specific operation. This can be anything from coordinating pirates to overseeing smuggling operations.
Crime Operations Ranks
A member can hold more than one Criminal rank
Freelancer - Freelancers are criminals hired from all walks of life fore their skills. These people can be smugglers, pirates or even bounty hunters.
Hitman - A hitman is a bounty hunter who has chosen to swear his services to the SSS and does not take bounties not given to him by the Syndicate. They will usually be tasked with eliminating competition or government officials who are not bending to the Syndicate's will.
Privateer - Like the Hitmen, the Privateers are Pirates who have sworn complete allegiance to the Syndicate and will not accept jobs outside of ones given to him by the Syndicate and will not raid without Syndicate approval. They will be highly coordinated and will be used solely to raid high risk areas such as Republic Space.
Trafficker - Traffickers are smugglers who have accepted that the Syndicate is the best employer of them all and now accepts missions from no one else. They are mainly used to move drugs to dealers and weapons to contractors. On some occasions they may move to introduce drugs to a new and well policed area, like the Republic.
Drug Dealer - Dealers are responsible for the sale of narcotics into areas throughout the galaxy, which can include the Syndicates territory and that of others. They are usually resupplied by traffickers
Slave Driver - Slavers are exactly what they sound like. They capture people and then transport them across the galaxy to sell them for profit.
Weapons Contractor - Contractors are responsible for acquiring long lasting contracts with both government and private buyers. They do not worry themselves with small time deals on the streets and only go for the big fish.
Weapons Dealer - Weapons dealers make sales to thugs and private buys on the street. Their sales do not require long lasting contracts and are usually one time sales. Most contractors will begin at this level.
Enforcer/Extortionist- Extortionists are people sent to extort small businesses for profit. They are also tasked with enforcing the extortion of these businesses.
Corporate Extortionist- Corporate Extortionist are in charge of making sure that companies that have fallen to Syndicate corruption stay under Syndicate corruption. They will make sure the corporations fulfill their ends of deals. They do not go hands on, but are more like spokesmen for the syndicate who issue threats but have someone else carry them out (usually in the form of assassinations or pillages.)
Political Extortionist- Political extortionists serve the same role as Corporate Extortionists, except they deal with politicians.
Corrupt Politician - Corrupt politicians are those in the political community who have decided that they like the world of being bribed by criminals. They are apart of the Syndicate, but serve a different capacity than any other members.

People can only hold one Merc rank at a time
GROUND FORCES

O1 (Officer 1) - O1s are the equivalent to Lieutenants in the Republic military. They are responsible for training new M2s and leading divisions.
O2 (Officer 2)- O2s are the equivalent to Majors and Captains in the Republic Ground Force. They are responsible for training new O1s and O2s and leading Battalions.
Shadows- Shadows are intelligence agents that are tasked with espionage and sabotage.
Warlord - Warlords are the top brass of the Merc Ground Forces. They are the ones who lead entire armies during battles, they can participate in combat at their own discretion.
Naval Forces
Fighter Pilot- Just as it sounds, they fly the fighters.
Captain - Captains are in charge of their own ships and command them in combat situations or on missions given to them by "The Boss".
Admiral - Admirals preside over a whole fleet of ships during a battle.
