SPECIAL FEATURES
Personal Ray Sheild Generator that can only activate while the droid is stationary that can weather most arms fire, but only a few (2-3) blasts of heavy turbo-lasers such as on an AT-AT or large mounted turret.

Foldable legs with heat-shielding technology which acts as a heat-shield for breaking the atmosphere

Thrusters and impact shock-obsorbers to slow it`s decent.

DESCRIPTION


The New Techno Union had a problem, they had not created a heavy duty assault droid capable of taking down large mechanized units or air-craft in at least two hundred years.. the R.C.A.P was the answer to that problem. Fully automated walking death machine was the origonal sentimental and humerous name given to it during it's development at the N.T.U headquarters by the Chief of the project. The R.C.A.P. is a wonder of modern science, the platform being able to turn 360 into any direction (albiet slowly), cluster-rockets able to take down large mechanized units or strike-craft, artillery canons capable of bombarding enemy forces from 50 kilometers away, automated slug-thrower guns fit to deal with infantry, personal shield generator, an advanced targeting system capable of making complex caluclations taking in wind resistence, distance, and the speed at which the target is moving, and to top it all off, the R.C.A.P can be dropped from low orbit with little negative results on the machine itself, although on the surrounding environment.. well, a large crater usually marks it's entry point.

Strengths:
  • Orbital drop: The R.C.A.P can be dropped from low orbit with little damaging effect on itself.
  • Mech-Slayer: The R.C.A.P comes equipped with cluster-concussion rockets capable of locking on and destroying a variety of large mechanized vehicles and droids (Such as AT-STs, or AATs), as well as strike-craft and shuttles.
  • Walking Artilery: The two larger guns on the R.C.A.P fire artillery shells up to 50 kilometers away.
  • Personal Shield: The R.C.A.P has a wonderful personal shield that guards itself as well as anything directly beside or underneath it.
Weaknesses:

  • Snail's Pace: The R.C.A.P is incredibly slow, only traveling at a standard human's walking pace.
  • Non-Mine Mentality: The R.C.A.P. wasn`t designed with mines in mind, and explosives that the droid steps on while the shield isn`t up can blow it`s legs off, making it fall over and become practically useless.
  • Easy Target: The R.C.A.P definitely isn't hard to miss, due to it's speed, bulk, and lack of programming telling it to get behind cover.
  • Accidental Steps: If you aren't paying attention, the R.C.A.P will step on you while it's walking and if you're in it's way, and definitely won't feel guilty.
  • Ion Weakness: The droid`s shield generator also can be knocked out rather easily with a large Ion or EMP blasts
  • Slug Weakness: The shields of the droid can be completely bypassed by slug thrower weapons.

  • With the impact shock-absorbers being the only tech that would mitigate the kinetic energy of the impact, I don't think this would work. It weighs a ton, plus terminal velocity from orbit = smashed to bits.
  • I'd suggest using something like disposable thrusters that fire on atmo entry, slowing its fall enough that it doesn't crash.

  • I'd like you to be more specific here as well, as I can't approve something that's capable of destroying such a vague category of vehicles and craft.
  • Up to what kind of armor can these missiles damage? What kind of missiles are they, in the first place?

  • This weakness falls kind of flat when your droid has both anti-infantry machine guns and a personal shield. Something here's got to give.

  • This isn't a weakness for the droid. Unless someone is going to RP getting trampled by it (highly unlikely) this is utterly irrelevant. Replace it with a good weakness, please.

  1. How does the droid fare against Ion/EMP damage?
  2. How does the droid fare against landmines?

I believe I have edited everything you`ve asked for! But here`s a comprehensive list so you don`t have to read the whole thing again.

They are cluster-concussion rockets capable of destroying vehicles such as AT-TEs, or with 3-4 droids even ATATs.

Added that mines are a huge problem for them, as well as how their shields can get knocked out rather easily with EMP or Ion blasts.

The Heat-Shielding technology simply helps the legs act as a heat-shield for breaking through the atmosphere, and I added thrusters to help slow the decent.

And as for the sheild generator, it can weather most common firearms, but can only withstand 2-3 blasts from heavy lasers like turbo-lasers on AT-ATs or large turrets that they used to take down AT-ATs in the movies.

  • That's a lot of firepower for such a small droid, and it also has artillery and anti-infantry weaponry.
  • Drop the production to Limited if you want to keep the concussion missile launchers. Even if you drop it to Limited, I want to see the rocket launchers reduced to one (1) per droid, as they were typically vehicle (or starship) mounted and would require miniaturization.
    OR
  • Reduce the punch these missiles pack and keep it at Minor.

  • Since it's a ray shield, please add under Weaknesses that solid projectiles (slugs, grenades, melee weapons, etc.) will be able to bypass it and still cause direct damage to the droid.

  • The wording here is a bit deceiving. Solid projectiles bypass ray shields completely, it's not just "weak against".
  • Fix that, and this ought to be good to go.
