Rallying The Clan

Location: Rainy Breeze Conference Room

Brianna was waiting in the conference room onboard her frigate. She had been dreaming of the day when she would stand before her clan and be able to look her father in the eye, knowing she had proven him wrong, that she was a true Mandalorian, and now he was to do as she commanded as the Clan head of the Saxons. While she had forfeited the chance to take such a position, she now held something better, something she valued more than a tainted clan name. With her armor clad, Brianna leaned over the table and turned on a holoprojector, as a small display of the purposed space dock she and Ray Ray had been looking into creating. The small station still had a great deal to undergo, but it was a work in progress. Ray's close friend, Hask had also been contributing to the effort as well, and now with Clan Maxis' small fleet, they would have the defenses needed to ward off any potential pirates. Which brought Brianna to the entire reason she had held this little meeting, she wanted to catch everyone up to speed on their short term objectives. A small smile formed across her features as she thought of things she and Ray could occupy themselves with once the meeting was concluded, though she would save such things for when it was just the two of them in private. Forming this new clan had been difficult and costly for both of them, and had it not been for her lovely wife, Bri knew she wouldn't have made it this far. Splitting power as they had might have been unheard of for Mandalorians, but Bri thought it was only fair. Ray had given just as much, if not more into forming this clan, and had also given up her clan just to adopt Brianna's own. Nothing more could prove the woman's loyalty to Bri or the clan, and for that, Bri only saw it fitting to ensure they were equals in the new future they would be building together. Now that the meeting was set up, Bri only needed to sit and wait for her two fellow Mandalorians to arrive. A pair of Clan Maxis guards would remain on watch in front of the conference room door, not that Bri needed them or anything, but it felt appropriate. They were a new clan after all, a little practice of ceremony never killed anyone. If nothing else, it would keep new bloods from prying where they didn't belong, and indicate to Ray and Hask were to go. It was a new ship after all, Bri herself was still getting accustomed to it's design.

Rayne was walking with three other Mandalorians, a long winded discussion about logistics, materials ordinances, and work orders. Finally they came to the passage way that would lead Rayne to her meeting with her wife that she felt she hadn't seen in ages, and away from these chatty business hands. Yes, yes, fine, fine... Rayne said as she signed an electronic document on the man's datapad giving permission to go ahead with the work to be done. Finally they left her alone, and Rayne turned toward the door, the guards outside bearing the sigil of Clan Maxis, Rayne smiled, everything they had worked for was coming together, fruition and all that. Rayne's armour had been put nearly out of commission, and she'd been forced to rebuild it, not a life ending event, but still tedious, the new set now bearing the Maxis Clan sigil as well.

Rayne straightened her odds and ends, brushing a strand of hair out of her face, and taking a deep breath while standing there, looking at the door. The guard beside the door said, You can go in.. somewhat confused, to which Rayne snapped, I will when I'm ready.. and took one more deep breath before walking through the door. She had expected to see a room crowded with people muttering over something, but it was just Bri, she was fretting over the holo projector, and getting things readied for the meeting, Rayne smiled as she watched her girl... her Wife.. set up for something she'd worked so hard for, Bri deserved this, that was for sure, and Rayne would slowly kill anyone who said anything to the contrary.

The sound of the door seemed to go unnoticed by Bri, either she hadn't heard it, or she was too busy to address it as of yet. This gave Rayne the perfect opportunity to walk up behind her, and place her hands on the girl's hips, spinning her around and stealing her from her work. Rayne was careful to watch for any surprised arm flailing, or even intentional punches, Bri hadn't really ever gotten Rayne back for the night they'd met, sure there had been a quick jab to Rayne's forehead right after she proposed to Bri, but that didn't count. Like lightning, Rayne pulled her in for an embrace, their time apart had seemed like a millennia, and Rayne kissed her lightly before backing away a little, I was worried I'd never see you again, what with how busy we've been.. She said as she embraced her Wife again.

The Cloud, well.. The New Cloud, a Kad’ika-Class Light Cruiser was floating not terribly far away, Rayne having taken a shuttle to come to Brianna's new ship, I must say.. You have excellent taste... Rayne said, Oh.. and your ship is nice too.. She added as a jest with a wink, as she looked around the room, the powerful symbol of a Krayt Dragon present multiple times within it, not even counting on Rayne's armor as well..

Hask's heavy footfalls echoed lightly through the halls. His Corvette was orbiting around the ship, keeping on watch for any uninvited guests. Despite being part of the group for decades now, he still felt slightly uneasy between all the Mandalorian warriors. Thousands of years of warfare can't just be forgotten in the span of a few years.

At least his new family was much more accepting of the Pureblood and he had shown that gratefulness time and time again as he carried out their orders. His armour, while still the yellow and black colours, sported the new emblem of Clan Maxis, a strong symbol that he wore with pride. He marched through the hallway, just in time to spot Rayne snapping at a guard by the door and entering the conference room. A few seconds later he was standing in front of the door as well, towering over the new recruits. He looked them over, his eyes lingering on the recruit Rayne snapped at. He chuckled a bit as he opened the door and entered, no doubt making the rookie just a little more uneasy.

He walked in, closing the door behind him with the force and took his helmet off as he watched the two lovers for a second or so. "Jeez, get a room already." he spoke jokingly, slightly disrupting their moment. He walked over to the table and placed his helmet down, the T-visor and glowing red 'eyes' staring at the two. "How's the planning going? Everything in order?" he switched back to business.

Brianna's attention was distracted as she glanced over reports. She hadn't heard the door, as it hissed open, revealing armor clad form of her lover on an intercept course. Brianna hardly had time to react as she felt a set of hands grasp her hips, and found herself being spun around and pulled into a tight embrace. She would have voiced a protest, had her lips not been silenced by Ray's kiss. The tense muscles of the warrior woman relaxed, as Bri gripped the Rayne's neck and pulled in to further the nature of the kiss. They had both been so busy with their work that she couldn't recall the last time they had been in the same room together. It was a longer overdo gesture.

The extra bit of affection might have not been proper, but for the moment it was just the two of them, so to hell with everyone else, Bri thought. As the two broke from the lip lock, Bri stroked the side of Ray's face with her armored hand, having grown to miss the angelic features of her lover. It indeed had been too long, but once the initial planning was done well...Bri had plans for a get away just for the two of them. But that was a surprise for another time. "You know I couldn't stay away from the pretty face for too long." Bri snickered, as she put her forehead against Rayne's. The two's reunion was quickly shattered by the approach of Hask, casuing Bri to break away and glance to the new comer, only to roll her eyes at the Sith's response. "Actually, this is our room. If you want to get technical about it." Bri grinned, stepping away from Ray as they needed to get this show on the road. There'd be time to catch up with her wife later.

"As of right now, thanks to Rayne, we are securing resources to finish the construction of Maxis Drive Yards." Bri paused and glanced to Ray. "That...was what we were calling it right?" She couldn't remember what they had finalized the name to. "Anyways, as it stands, we are nearly there. Given that the previous producer of Mandalorian ships has been closed and rolled under another company, we have an oppertunity to really contribute to the Empire." Bri moved to the side across from Hask, crossing her arms as she looked over the small projection of the model shipyard. "Which brings us to this meeting. There are a few things we need to get underway, which Ray will be disclosing here." Brianna grinned, looking towards her wife as to give her her 'cue'. They had talked about making this move for so long, Brianna could hardly believe that it was actually happening now.

Rayne smiled her goofy smile, as a shape-shifter she had a practiced and perfected smile, it's shape and color edited to the minute detail during hours in front of a mirror, but Bri had this way of bringing out an honest smile in Rayne. That was until Hask walked in.. How come whenever there is a nice peaceful moment.. You show up.. Rayne snorted at her friend, You could have at least showered.. she added, teasing the red skinned man. Bri also weighed in on it a bit too, busting the man's balls.

Rayne listened intently as Bri spoke, mostly just thinking of a way to pull her out of this room and ravage her, but still absorbing the information she was putting forth. Yes.. The M.D.Y. Rayne confirmed as Bri spoke. Rayne had her presentation ready, and stood up with her datapad in hand, electronically transferring images to the holo-projector. An Image of Vind popped up, and beside it an image of Kuat, and it's orbital planet circling manufacturing plants. The end goal of the M.D.Y. is the shameless copping of the Kuat Drive Yards, their process is elite and well known throughout the Galaxy, and we are not here to fix what aint broke.. Rayne said, quoting an old saying, We're here to copy it, and make it ours.. She added. I have concocted a short term plan for the accomplishment of major goals, She said as the screen flipped over to a very detailed layout of her plan, First up is Myrkr, an established role model in planet side manufacturing. To supplement what we lack in man power we need to provide in a non organic labor force, or droids.. She went on, easy and straight forward, a mission that requires words more than blasters or sabers.. She continued believing that job may be better for Bri, as Rayne herself wasn't often very good with words. Next up, I've personally reached out to multiple CEOs on Taris, they have a pirate problem that's plaguing their trade system, if we fix the problem, we get discounted goods, again.. easy and simple, and to add to this.. The Mand'alore herself has agreed to assist in this en-devour... Rayne went on, not pausing to gauge their reactions at how the hell Rayne had managed to recruit the Mand'alore into helping them, Hask, this next one is for you.. Rayne said as she highlighted the next segment, Zygerrian slavers, Galaxy's worst scum.. But they hold an applicable labor force at their disposal.. Rayne went on, the distasteful looks she was no doubt about to receive from the group ignored and no doubt about to be appeased, I've received word that a Zygerrian slaver company is going to be transporting a Frigate full of slaves to Tattooine soon, I suggest we intercept, steal the slaves, and maybe the ship, then offer each and every one of them a paid position and housing aboard the M.D.Y. Rayne finished, now looking up to gauge their reactions at the change the last bit had taken.

Rayne had two more topics to cover, but stopped for a moment to take a swig of her flask, inside of which was the finest of cheap champagnes, Rayne's drink of choice, well maybe without the cheap part.. Moving along.. Rayne began to continue, You're not gonna like this.. Rayne continued slowly, Legitimate holdings and dealings are great, they're good for image, and morale, and great for customers too.. but.. Rayne paused, They're too expensive for our budding organization to solely rely on, while we will keep them, and use them, I am also going to detach a team to deal with a Hutt mob boss for cheaper materials.. Rayne went on, Our standard is only utilizing paid labor, but how the organizations who we get our materials operate is none of our business.. Rayne said it not believing it herself, it was a good plan, but the morality of it might one day catch up to Rayne's conscious.

Furthermore.. Rayne said as she began her last leg of the speech, the screen now switching over to multiple photos and information, dossiers on Outer Rim Coalition members, I have made contact with the Outer Rim Coalition, and have arranged to over see a joint operation where they will be procuring raw materials, and old ships for us. This is a major boon as it will allow us to reverse engineering whatever they bring us and then build our own for future ships, not to mention the raw and salvageable materials we will gain from this partnership. On the exchange, we will need to provide them with safe docking and repairs to their vessels when ever possible, a fair trade in my book.. Rayne finished.

Hask let out a chuckle before firing back at Rayne. "Oh I did shower, it's your inflated ego that's stinking up the place." he said with a smug grin.

He took a few steps closer to the projector to get a better view. He folded his arms across his chest, allowing Rayne to finish her speech. When she mentioned the Mand'alor herself joining in on the operation, Hask's eyes went wide. Clearly the two women have been busy if they managed to get the Mand'alor herself in on the operation. Rayne did not give any time for reaction, however, and he continued to listen at her briefing.

The mention of taking out a bunch of Zygerrian slaver rats brought a smile to the Purebloods face, enough to show the sharp rows of teeth lining his jaws. He continued to listen and when Rayne finished he spoke up. "Certainly sounds simple enough. Take out the shields and engines, then reel them in. I've got more than enough fire power for that...plus this is too good a boarding opportunity to pass up and I'll certainly won't be losing sleep over a few dead slavers. Will be fun having you on board as well, you've been way too lazy while Bri has been slaving away." he spoke, ending with a laugh at his own joke. He turned his head to look at Brianna. "Where will you be in this whole mess, boss? You're certainly the more charismatic one of us, so will you be taking the 'diplomatic' approach on this one?"

A thought crossed his mind, one that he quickly brought up. "How sure are you that these crime lords can be trusted, Rayne? They have rather...colourful history of bad deals and the like. I understand we don't exactly have the funds for proper procurement of materials but what guarantee do we have that these crime lords aren't stupid enough to cross a Mandalorian?"

Brianna listened to the explanation of the goals that the clan needed to achieve, and beamed with pride as her wife had formulated such a compact plan of attack for seizing the resources they needed. Brianna seemed a little surprised that Mandalore herself was to be joining their efforts for this operation, but if nothing else it provided them with an opportunity to increase their prestige, and gain allies with the leader of the empire herself. After Rayne finished her briefing, Brianna turned to address Hask, as the Clan Head moved toward her wife. "That was my plan. After all, you two will do much better with making the crime lords agree to whatever demands we want of them." Brianna set an arm on Ray's shoulder, leaning on the other woman. "I think making good with Mandalore will go a long way in helping our clan grow as well. Besides, I think you and Ray can handle a few slavers." Bri looked to Ray. "Unless you think it'll be too much for you." She teased, poking the woman's cheek in jest.

After being called lazy, Rayne stared at Hask with a look that silently screamed, 'I will kill you...' she'd been running her ass off trying to get things situated for the foundation of the Clan and the MSE and MDY. You little.. She began but was cut off by a more serious matter of business, "How sure are you that these crime lords can be trusted, Rayne?" Hask asked, to which Rayne replied, Not at all.. she said truthfully, To put it frankly, this is going to be a risky test that has one of two outcomes. Either my choice is a good one, and we gain a valuable asset and alliance, or it's not and we have to kill some people.. She explained.

Rayne looked sideways as she was poked in the cheek, There was nothing in this Galaxy, well in this Universe that Rayne wouldn't murder mercilessly for Bri, and the Clan, I'm sure I can handle it, Hask may be a problem though... Always a liability.. Rayne said goading the man. The Three of them had come a very long way since the beginning, they were all once the definition of 'the little guy' and now each of them were commanding their own private capital class ship, leaps and bounds...

Bri.. Where are we with the Mercs? Rayne asked, then turned her attention to Hask, We need to set up as many income sources for the Clan as possible until the MDY is fully operational.. She explained, Ideas? she asked, she didn't really care where the credits came from, as long as they were funneled into the Clan, and or the MDY.

Hask had a grin stretching from one ear to the other as Rayne gave him a death stare. In no time at all they were focusing on work once again. Their relationship was indeed very unorthodox to say the least, but despite the endless teasing and bickering they were solid. They have all fought side by side for years and so far the Pureblood had yet to see what it will take to break this trio's spirit.

"Well, let's hope you did make the right call. As sure as I am that we can take out an entire syndicate, we're a little pressed for time." he said as he picked up his helmet and placed it under his left arm. He chuckled a little as Bri casually poked Rayne in the cheek. While Hask still wasn't used to relationships like theirs, it was still nice to see that the Mandalorian culture didn't frown upon such relationships. That moment of admiration disappeared a little when Rayne decided to poke at him further. "Oh is that so?" he said with raised eyebrows and a smug smile. "I distinctly remember saving your behind more times than I can count." he fired back.

And just like that they were back to business. "Well as soon as the Drive Yards are set up, we're good to go. But that won't be enough by a long shot. I'd say that we can take a look at the mining department. Maybe work out a deal or take over a business to harvest materials for us to either sell or use for ourselves. It'll save a couple credits if we can supply our own raw materials instead of dealing with some unreliable syndicate. Although I'd imagine that'll be more long term...unless we take over a company in less-than-savoury ways." he slid his helmet on, ready to move out and get their show on the road. It's been a while since he had a good fight and his armour's new paint was still untouched by the marks of war. He was itching for some action.
