DESCRIPTION
Rakieh's Saber Spear, from a philosophical standpoint, was designed to test the extent and reach of his will, granted to him by the Force. From a combat standpoint, the Saber Spear was designed to meet standards of his combat style that the lightsaber couldn't on its own, such as granting him more elaborate moves in his favoured lightsaber form, form IV, Ataru. The idea of the weapon from a defense standpoint was to toss aside conventional defenses for more control of the battle itself, using long jabs, swings, and parries to keep the opponent at bay while still being able to push with an aggressive attack.
Whereas Ataru was concerned, though the length of the weapon would force him to use more energy exercising the form, the motions and movements he could pull off would not only be more elaborate but significantly more confusing to the opponent, typically portraying themselves in large, defensive sweeps, or quick, offensive, almost area of effect attacks, designed to take the opponent off guard.
