SPECIAL FEATURES
The shield has no exposed physical switch. Instead, it contains an internal switch which can be toggle by focusing on its position and changing the state of the switch, toggling the shield to retract or extend (only to "opened" and "closed" states). While in "opened" state, the shield is resistant to all means of weaponry, but does not absorb any force associate with the blows it takes.

DESCRIPTION
In order to suit Rakieh's unique style of combat, Rakieh sought out to design a shield that could mimic Gungan personal energy shields, and then from that, develop a style of lightsaber combat that would incorporate the defensive capabilities of a shield. Coupled with his Saber Spear, the shield offers the ability to defend while not only keeping the opponent at bay and as far away as possible, but to attack aggressively without fear of leaving one's vital locations open to attacks in the process. This allows Rakieh to apply much of his knowledge of Ataru to his style without worrying about the defensive limitations the style originally had.
In short, the shield excels at what a shield was designed to do: offer an extra layer of defense. On the flip side, despite being light, the shield can be quite cumbersome and difficult to maneuver with. This issue can be avoided by constantly toggling the shield on and off, but as a consequence you would be leaving openings in your defense quite often by simply engaging in the process itself. Similarly, the shield can be manipulated by a wise, force-sensitive opponent, and could defeat the purpose of having the shield all together.
The only possible abuse I could see is constantly keeping the shield on in order to induce radiation poisoning within an opponent, and then, having likely contracted it as well, using detoxify poison (force ability) to be rid of it, suffering no adverse effects.

In total, Alusteel amounted for 90% of the object while Beskar only amounted for 10%. It is powered by a Diatium Power Cell
