DESCRIPTION
Rage has a heart of pure crystal. This was achieved by alchemical means. Breaking of a piece of crystal from Rage’s crystal throne he inscribed the gem with ancient Sith runes that he himself designed. To empower the runes Rage embedded the crystal within a host as the crystal fermented within the bodies of the chosen the runes became stronger, but each host that was chosen eventually succumbed to the sapping power of the runes and died. Once pronounced deceased the crystal was retrieved.
Eventually a powerful enough host was discovered and the crystal was implanted again. This time in a Mandalorian A’lor. As the crystal fermented in her blood line the runes became stronger and the crystal grew. Over a thousand years the crystal grew until finally Rage awoke and claimed it once more. Using a ritual that required the sacrifice of ten men Rage was able to replace his heart with the crystal stone. The ritual consisted of ten blood priest.
The runes had become so powerful that it sapped the powers of the priest. They became husk as the seance was performed. Each one of them succamb to the crystal hearts power withering away until finally dying. Rage was forced to complete the ritual on his own. Carving open his own chest he implanted the crystal within his heart. It took hold and quickly grew around the organ. The runes finally stabilized when met with their old master. Thus the power draining stopped.
The crystals purpose was to slow the ageing process and free Rage of his throne. Which it did, but at a price. Rage could no longer draw upon the dark side as he used too. His powers had been completely reset. For the crystal knew nothing of the force, so he would have to teach it.
