Description: Based on the same premise as the RAAF-1 interceptor, the RAAF-2 brings the attack facet to the Rebel Alliance’s analogue fighter program.

The Arcadia features a wide array of weapons choices, from the pair of rapid-fire laser cannons and ion cannons on the wingtips, to the concussion missile and proton torpedo payloads. These weapons make it a versatile fighter in all aspects, from dogfighting to Death Star trench runs. The HUD targeting system is old school for even old school, which does hamper the ship's effectiveness on precision bombing runs. However, the Rebel Alliance still believes in the analogue fighter's potential in this age of warfare.

As with the RAAF-1, the RAAF-2 Arcadia's sublight engines are of a compacted ion drive variety, functioning on the same principles as the majority of ionic thrusters used throughout the galaxy by funneling naturally occurring magnetic fields in through the engine, which excites the fuel propellant. Feeding off of ions themselves, the engines will not short unless they sustain a direct hit by a high-powered ion blast.

All operational systems of the Arcadia are either manual analogue or digitally isolated (except for the Copycat, which can be manually killed should it be compromised). The navicomputers are preset before each mission so that they do not require communication with networks in order to plot routes, thereby preventing any possibility of cyber exploitation of the craft’s systems. The Copycat, navigation devices, and shields are the only components of the starfighter that are vulnerable to EMP or ion blasts, making it ideal for combat in situations that may involve such weaponry, as none of its vital operational systems would be affected.

Development Thread: [N/A]
Intent: To create an unhackable attack fighter that is also functionally immune to EMP.

Hello there, nice sub!

So, this is verging on interceptor speeds, has more firepower than an elite starfighter, a 0.5 rating hyperdrive, some more special features and is mass produced.

This is going to need significant development I'm afraid.

I would like to see this changed to "Minor Production" and limited to the use of PCs as an elite starfighter. It will then require 20 solid posts of development.

Alternatively, you may make the following changes and go ahead without dev:
- Drop one launcher
- Reduce speed/man to 3
- Reduce hyperdrive to 1
- Minor production (without caveat above)

This would align it with the usual standards for an "elite" starfighter.

Alright, so the intent was never to make an 'elite' fighter. :D I have thus made the requested changes, but dropped two launchers instead of one. What would need to be done to allow this at mass production?

It's a good question. This still has a profile outside of the "norm" for line snubfighters. Do you really need to mass produce this?

Production: (The scale is Unique (Only One Character), Semi-Unique (Only A Handful of Characters), Limited (Only A Select Group Of NPCs/PCs), Minor (Any Character, Only Select Groups Of NPCs), Mass-Produced. (Anyone.))

I would expect a mass-produced starfighter with no dev, to look fairly similar in profile to the standard starfighter in this template:
