Description: The Quickfire 2 hold-out blaster is illegal in many sectors for its concealable nature and heavy punch. Using a double-nested set of precision galven coils to focus its energy beam, the extremely powerful bolt produced is narrower than a normal blaster bolt, yet packs a powerful punch per shot.
The downside if the weapon is that it is highly inefficient and the power cell is exhausted after just 2 shots. It can be reloaded manually, the cylindrical power cell pops put of the centre of the blaster. It is not designed for repeated use and will quickly overheat in an extended firefight. Despite its power the bolt doesn't have the coherency that would be typical for a rifle bolt of this power and the effective range is limited both by this and the inherent accuracy of such a small pistol without sights.
The weapon has good armor piercing for its size and at short range will go through level 5 (Stormtrooper equivalent) chest piece.
Typically used by skilled assassins, it is often fired with a quick double tap to try and put a bolt in the chest and head (often from behind).
