So, I was having a look around and I have a couple of questions.

First, The Mage Guild in Sub Factions is a protected forum, and it doesn't seem to have had much recent activity from what I can see. Is that still a thing? Is there someplace else one can begin the path of sorcery?

Second, Training. Is it ok for me to just write a training thread for myself to develop training in things? My main idea is for using Whips as a weapon, but other things like minor force powers would be on the docket as well.

Third, Threads. Anyone want to do a thread?

There are a couple of inactive sub-factions in the OS and we, the Admins, are in the process of eliminating them.

As for learning Sorcery, that is a powerful path to learn. Traditionally one would need to study under a Master that is fluent in it. To my knowledge, [member="Matsu Xiangu"] is the only active Master that is doing this. When I get off my lazy bum, I plan to learn from her myself and trickle down what I learn.

As for learning powers and saber forms, I personally have no issue wit people doing this as long as they make the thread believable. However, certain Force Abilities should at least be brought to the Masters/Admins of the OS before attempting this.

[member="Darth Venefica"] is right. I'll only teach it to Mid/High Knights and above however, due to the nature of its rarity/power.

Also as far as learning force-powers solo, I find faction threads such as events, dominions, and invasions are way more fun to write and add a lot of credibility. However solo threads are 110% acceptable on this board.

I've not got much in mind, but my character is more of a peaceful type of character (I mean, doesn't do much physical stuff, likes to think a lot more than do things, etc.), so it's probably something social. I'm also more looking to help other people's storylines, so... Maybe you have something you want to advance in?

Well, the quick and dirty of Alyssa's story is that she was born to a high priced courtesan and some client that Alyssa still doesn't know the name or identity of. She was sold into slavery by her mother at a very young age and was used/abused and such up through a few years prior to her beginning here. Her last master was a geneticist who experimented on her, splicing her genes with genes from various alien species. She now has gills, adaptive eyes and ears and possibly some other things that I just haven't thought of yet.

She has joined both the Sith Assassins and the Covenant of the Black Rose. She has a issues with males for the most part, will distrust them off the bat and only ones who gain her trust or can kill her outright get her respect. With women she is a bit of a flirt...and that's as far as I've gotten so far.

Oh, and she is designing a whip to be her main weapon...o.0
