Question: On archived stuff due to previous factory closure

I had subs I was working on but could not finish due to the factory being closed. Should I ask for them to be de-archived? Do I have to use the second chance forum in this case? Or should I just proceed to make a new sub entirely? A few of them were almost finished, which is why I ask.
