---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES (Required: 2 Weaknesses Minimum) :
Insensitivity: Like the other members of his species, Qubarash is unable to feel pain. While this can be very dangerous to his health, it benefits him greatly while on the battlefield. A simple blaster burn or the removal of a limb will not slow him down. Well, at least when it comes to pain. He can still experience shock-related symptoms and be surprised if he receives an unexpected blow.

Limb Regeneration: Another trait of the Swokes Swokes is limb regeneration. It can take up to 10 standard days for one of Qubarash's limbs to be regeneration, but it will leave nasty scars.
Melee Combat: From a very early age, Qubarash has excelled in fighting with an axe or hatchet in battle. This is one of the reasons why he is known as "The Butcher of Makem Te."
Aggressive Behavior: Although aggressive behavior is necessary in combat, Qubarash is aggressive outside of combat as well. This prevents him from forming positive relationships and makes him a very unlikable individual.
Social Outcast: Banished by his own people, Qubarash is a lone atheist without anyone to communicate with. Even if he had someone to communicate with, he wouldn't have a lot to convey in a conversation. He isn't a socialite by any stretch of the imagination.

APPEARANCE:
Qubarash has a plump, muscular figure. His arms are slightly longer than his legs. His armor looks very primitive, but it is make with the same materials used for the soldiers of military juntas across the galaxy. His right shoulder piece is in near-perfect condition, but his left shoulder plate has deteriorated from blows made to his left arm. He has metallic plating covering the front and back of his lower body. Both of the plates have the insignia of the Irashwari, although Qubarash is no longer a member of Irashwari society.

BIOGRAPHY:
Qubarash was born on the Swokes Swokes homeworld of Makem Te in the year 819 ABY. From birth, he was trained to become a militant of a terrorist organization known as the State of Ishwari. As child, he was taught the classic, unedited version of the Iktun, one of the many religions of the Swokes Swokes. He was required to recite specific passages within the Iktun at any moment. However, it took him a very long time to learn the passages word by word, resulting in cruel punishments, the worst being the first amputation of his right arm and being forced to fast for 14 standard days. This particular punishment soldified Qubarash's fundamentalist interpretation of Ishwari religion and set the stage for the atrocities he would commit later in his lifetime.

The Battle of Nesh-Nesh
At the age of 13, Qubarash was sent with his brother Tuyati and other Ishwari fundamentalists to embark on a 21 day journey to the city of Thousand-Thousand. However, on day 16, the fundamentalists were forced to defend against Congressional military forces in the city of Nesh-Nesh, a militant stronghold. In this battle, Qubarash was given a hatchet by his brother and was ordered to join the front line of defense. For proof, he wanted the militant in training to bring back the electric staff of a Congressional Honor Guard.

The front line of Nesh-Nesh defensive front were very harsh. Fundamentalists were forced to spend their hours in deep, dirt trenches, which were very susceptible to mortar-fire and occasional bombings. If a fundamentalist died in battle, his or her corpse would be used to fortify trench walls and prevent them from sloping inward. Qubarash was initially put in charge of fortifying the walls, but after delayed reinforcement calls, he was forced to fight the Congressional forces up front. He showed no mercy towards the enemy. The Congressional forces had modern laser weaponry, but they were no match for his swift movements and accurate hatchet swings. Within five minutes of entering combat, Qubarash killed 31 soldiers. He eventually came across a group of honor guards, who were protecting a very influential lady: Caliph Raya. Qubarash had to quickly adjust to fighting skilled melee practitioners with his blunt weapon. If he didn't he would end up like everyone else in the trench.

The electro-staffs were swift, but they were no match for the young militant's cuts. Within a few minutes of entering combat, the Honor Guard was left defenseless. All but 1 surrendered, angering the Caliph. She took out her side arm and shot the three, but could not fire a shot at Qubarash, because he had already cut out her throat in a single chop. The last honor guard attempted to put him down, but Qubarash quickly overpowered him. But he spared him, only because he didn't stand down.

After news spread to nearby forces regarding the Caliph's status, the Congressional forces retreated from Nesh-Nesh. The caliph's murderer returned to his brother with a broken electro-staff and a sidearm. Tuyati was awestruck by Qubarash, and offered him a chance to return home. However, Qubarash declined this gesture. He wanted to stay in Nesh-Nesh, because he knew the Congress of Caliphs would send more soldiers to put down the militants.
Living on the Front Lines
Qubarash was immediately welcomed by the citizens of Nesh-Nesh and was given a bunk in one of the city's many armories. The armory he stayed in was very filthy and infested with Gorgs. Although, the Gorgs were never dealt with because it provided a good food source for militants unsatisfied by rations. Sickness was very common, resulting in massive lines to the restroom. Many militants left the line because they defecated in the clothing that they were told to wear for that day. The living situation was not suitable for the soldiers. The bunks were very primitive and were very uncomfortable to lay on. Some soldiers chose to sleep on the floor and place their possessions on the bunks instead of in their designated containers. Due to these circumstances, Qubarash stayed in the trenches and hoped for an idiotic scout to fall into the trench or for there to be a battle. He lived this lifestyle for six years until he was requested by his brother to return to the Ishwari "capital" of Uban.
Battle of Ishka
Qubarash was sent with his brother for another journey to Ishka, an southeastern city recently built by Congressional laborers. The journey took only 16 hours because the fundamentalists recently captured military frigates from multiple factions coming near Makim Te. Qubarash and Tuyati were given the liberty of flying a gunship. After arriving in Ishka, militants slowly infiltrated the city. The plan was to capture the city from the inside and to push out Congressional forces. The plan went smoothly until a drunken militant got into a fight with civilians and activated one of his thermal detonators. It caused a large explosion and attracted the attention of the Congressional military. Some of the militants left the city, while others started rioting in the streets. In one riot, Qubarash killed five civilians and nine Congressional police officers from re-establishing order in the city. News spread across the planet about the attacking, resulting in Congressional military to be mobilized. The State of Ishwari sent reinforcements to the city at the same time.

A full scale battle broke out. Congressional forces could not let this city fall, or else the region could become radicalized. If the Ishwari lost this battle, they could risk losing supporters. Each side gave everything they got. A choke hold was created in the center of Ishka. Qubarash was sent to the chokehold in hopes that he would turn the tide of the battle. He was told to kill the commander of the Congressional forces, who was stationed in the plaza of a nearby hotel complex. A squad of highly trained militants were sent to him, but they were all killed after a mortar round was shot into the community square. Qubarash travelled the alleyways to the apartment complex. He was nearly killed by three snipers, but he was able to cut down the guards covering the back entrance and entered the complex. One by one, Qubarash sliced his way through to the Congressional commander. He climbed three floors while he constantly killed guards coming up from behind or climbing down the stairs.

Eventually, he reached the top floor, where the commander attempted to flee via gunship. Guards attempted to stop the deranged militant, but they were axed to death. He hopped onto the gunship and entered a melee with the commander and his guards. He was shot multiple times, but he withstood the laser bolts. He broke the necks of two of the guards, and tackled the commander. Just as he grabbed his hatched, the gunship crashed into a group of fundamentalists. The commander and Qubarash were forcefully ejected through the window. Qubarash had a broken arm, but the Commander was torn up by the glass and metal of the cockpit. He absorbed most of the impact. Qubarash looked at his hatchet. He reached for it, and slightly lifted his arm. The hatchet slid across the ground towards him. Qubarash paused in astonishment. Was this a dream? He moved his hand further, while concentrating on the hatchet. The hatchet slid again. Remembering his situation, Qubarash got himself up and rushed to the commander. The commander watched his every move.

"Funny. There are people just like you. They live among the stars, they spread the notion of peace and justice. Meanwhile, you bring war and injustice to the people of Makem Te. Why do you monger?" says the Commander.

The hatchet slid over to the foot of the militant. He grabbed it, and prepared to swing his weapon. However, he hesitated. He needed to respond in some way.

"Because the Caliphs bring secularism and cultural genocide," replies Qubarash.

Qubarash swung his hatchet downward and beheaded the Commander. At that point, there was no one to protest that decision. There was only the sound of distant gunfire. The militant was alone in a dead neighborhood of a broken city.

Within a day or so, the Congressional forces evacuated all of the civilians they could and left the ruins of the city to the Ishwari. However, the State could not accept this as a victory. Too many militants were killed, and their deaths outnumbered the former population of Ishka. They abandoned the city, leaving the remaining civilians to rot in a graveyard.

Becoming a Magistrate

The State of Ishwari became the subject of scrutiny across Makim Te for their decision to abandon the Ishkan people. Support for the state started to dwindle as dozens of mutinies took place throughout Ishwari-claimed territory. On a number of occasions, militants would perform terrorist attacks on their own, simply because they support the State's leadership. In these desperate times, Ishwari Caliph Zul'Arashka invited a number of individuals who he trusted dearly, including Qubarash and Tuyati for a meeting in the Ishwari capitol of Uban. The Caliph shared his concerns for the future of the Ishwari religion on Makem Te and appointed the invitees as Warlords who would govern Ishwari territories and be responsible for protecting Ishwari interests. Qubarash was designated as the Chief Magistrate of Nesh-Nesh because of his long service period there. His brother protested, claiming that he was unfit to be the leader of an important stronghold. However, the Caliph's word was absolute.

The 19 year old Swokes-Swokes had a very difficult start to being a magistrate. He was put in charge of creating a weekly budget for Nesh-Nesh and was forced to study Ishwari law. He was often made the judge for legal cases and had to hold executions when they were necessary. He rarely went outdoors and wasn't very active in societal matters. At first, he was unable to participate in defending the city from invaders. That changed after Nesh-Nesh became under attack again. But this time, the Congressional forces were better prepared.

The Congressional forces had no intention to take Nesh-Nesh. Instead, they wanted to shell the city so hard that they would cease productivity and create unrest within the State. The artillery cannons started shelling the city at dusk, which caught the militants off guard, preventing a successful defense effort from forming. Within an hour, Nesh-Nesh lost all of its surrounding outposts. The trenches caved in and killed anyone running for cover. 500 militants had died, with dozens more being wounded by mortar fire and snipers.

By dawn, most of Nesh-Nesh was destroyed. 320,000 militants and civilians died and morale plummeted. Qubarash was enraged and had a blood lust against the Congress of Caliphs. He summoned the remaining militants to the ruins of his home and gave a short debriefing on a counterattack that he planned the entire night. After the 5 minute debriefing, Qubarash and 400 militants left the broken city and traveled through the wasteland that the Congressional forces had created. They met up with the returning Congressional forces and raiding their convoys. Qubarash utilized his hatchet and personally beheaded the soldiers who attempted to stop the raid. The other militants were in charge of making sure that the convoys were set off course from their rendezvous point.

Eventually, Qubarash hopped onto a large land speeder carrying the individual who he had spared in the Battle of Nesh-Nesh. He no longer donned an electro-staff. Instead, he was equipped with a vibrosword and now donned the standard Congressional armor. Qubarash swung his hatchet at the fallen guard, but it hit the vibrosword and knocked the militant off of his feet. The fallen guard tried to behead him, but he was only able to cut him in the neck. Unarmed, Qubarash threw quick punches at his opponent, but he lost two finger after hitting the blade of the vibrosword. The fallen guard attempted to behead Qubarash again, but as he prepared for a fatal blow, his sword became suspended in mid air. The fallen guard attempted to move it, but it was to no avail. The hilt started to bend, and the blade started to twist and contort, until it was disconnected from the hilt. At that moment, Qubarash's hatchet flew into his left hand. He axed the arm off of his opponent. The opponent, no longer holding the vibrosword, gave Qubarash an uppercut to the face. The militant somersaulted backwards towards the edge of the speeder. After becoming stabilized, he threw his hatchet into the head of his opponent. Screaming from shock, the fallen guard backed into the railing and fell backwards. The guard rolled underneath the speeder, creating a loud cracking noise. Qubarash got himself up and went to the speeder's controls. He disabled the auto-drive function.

The militants drove the convoys back to a nearby city, where they unloaded the bodies and burned them at an altar. Qubarash received an arm amputation and forced out of action for 10 days while his arm regenerated. He was celebrated as a hero, although he did not speak to the civilians. He was too busy healing and planning for Nesh-Nesh's revenge.
Redemption
After a lengthy recovery, Qubarash developed a plan which resulted from the culmination of Congressional attacks against the State of Ishwari. Not only had Nesh-Nesh been sieged, but the State of Ishwari lost the cities of Plata, Zenzou, Oocha-Oocha, and their capital: Uban. All of these cities were large in size and had a large population of supporters. Each city was quickly converted from being radical militants to being civilized progressives. With the State of Ishwari in jeopardy, many militants vowed revenge against the Congress of Caliphs, making Qubarash's plan supported by most of the surviving Ishwari members. The minority of the militants who did not support Qubarash was Tuyati and his followers. They believed that the State was too vulnerable to attack.

The original plan was to attack the armories of Thousand-Thousand and incite riots among the native population. The plan wasn't to capture Thousand-Thousand. The plan was to transform the gleaming metropolis into a hellish, uninhabitable war zone. However, that plan was changed after a lone militant spy uncovered the name of the Caliph who coordinated the Nesh-Nesh attack. The spy was informed that the Caliph was residing 5 miles outside of Thousand-Thousand.

Within a two week peroid, Qubarash revised the plan and gained Tuyati's approval to assassinate Caliph Nas Umba. The plan included the names of 5 offbeat militants and Qubarash. The 6 would travel to the Caliph's compound disguised as merchants on the backs of schinga equa, infiltrate the compound, get the Caliph somewhere by himself, and kill him. The plan was very simple for documentation, but it ended up being very complex when it was actually put into action. Each of the 6 were put on "shifts" of entering and leaving the compound. While in the compound, each "merchant" appealed to the Caliph and developed a friendly relationship with him. Eventually, one of the "merchants" gained access into the Caliph's stables. He noted that the Caliph owned a schinga shikou by scratching on a Congressional coin. However, a guard noticed him doing this and distracted him from gaining any more information. After the "merchant" left, guards came out of the compound and opened fire on the militants. Half of them died and one was wounded, leaving Qubarash and the last militant to deal with the guards. However, the guards were ran over by Nas Umba's schinga shikou. He was going to warn the city about militant presence. Qubarash and the militant got on the backs of their schinga equa and chased after him.

However, the three schinga slithered into a large sand pit. The schinga were not strong enough to climb out, so Umba directed his schinga shikou to attack the militants. The equa they were riding on were killed by deep, swift bites, forcing the two militants to fight the Caliph with their own weapons. The militant tried to shoot him off with his blaster rifle, but the schinga was atoo quick for his sharpshooting skills. Umba went by Qubarash and stung him with his dual-sided electrostaff. Although he was incapable of feeling pain, he could feel the electricity travelling through his body, sending him to the ground. The militant boarded the schinga by the tail and started climbing up the beast using his knives. However, the schinga made a sharp turn to the right, causing the militant to lose his grip and fall to the left. The schinga, while dragging the corpse of the fallen militant, charged Qubarash and flipped him over its face. He quickly stuck the creature with a vibrohatchet, prompting the beast to shriek uncontrollably. Umba poked at the hatchet, electrifying its metal and frying the hand of Qubarash. The militant angrily leaped forward and tackled Umba on his saddle, causing him to lose control of the schinga and send it crashing into the schinga. The two quickly recovered and reengaged. However, Umba had the upper hand, as his foe was unarmed. He laughed as he poked at the grunting militant and insulted him for backing away from the staff. He poked once more, but Qubarash caught the shaft of the electrostaff and threw Umba to the ground. He ran towards his former comrade's corpse and levitated his gun toward him. He aimed at Umba and shot three laser bolts, but Umba was quick enough to deflect the laser bolts. In response, Qubarash ripped out the gun's cartridge and charged at Umba. He utilized the gun as a melee weapon and hit the electrostaff way from him. But the Caliph was very skilled and gained the upper hand by jabbing the metal gun with his staff. Qubarash was forced to drop the gun, and was hit with the staff in the face. The Caliph whistled and summoned his schinga out of the sand. The schinga charged towards the two and a collision was initially imminent. However, the militant had another idea in mind. As the schinga slithered close to his stretched body, Qubarash gradually levitated the beast above him and sent it flying into Umba. Umba ended up in the beast mouth. Unfortunately for him, the beast's mouth tightened together and ripped him in half.

Qubarash grabbed the electrostaff and lunged towards the schinga. He landed on the saddle and ripped his bloody vibrohatchet out of the schinga's scaly skin. The schinga took off and attempted to throw Qubarash of its back. However, the attempt was futile. Qubarash jabbed the electrostaff in the beast's right eye and chopped at the beast's neck until it was paralyzed. It slid into another sand dune. To finish him off, he opened the beast's mouth and axed at its gums. After un-rooting a tooth, he pulled it out and stabbed the electrostaff into the beast's gum sack. He walked over to Umba, who was still alive in a pool of blood. Qubarash lifted his upper body, causing his upper intestinal organs to fall out. The militant smiled, but the Caliph smiled back.

"Savage, y-y-y-you have just killed your terrorist comrades and your organization. Once my guards find my corpse, they will report your people as being responsible for my d-d-d-d..." stuttered the Caliph.

"Shhhhh. Imagine what your life would have been like if you didn't siege us. You could still be living in your compound with your family. You have just made 5 women widows and 3 children permanent exiles of your society. We are fighting for religion, while you are fighting for secularism," replies Qubarash.

Qubarash levitated the Caliph's intestines and wrapped it around the Caliph's neck. The Caliph laughed.

"S-s-so, you are one of them. I can tell you are a weaker-"

Umba made undecipherable noises as his intestines constricted his throat. Eventually, he stopped struggling and embraced his death. Qubarash took the two halves of the dead Caliph's body and buried it in a sand dune. He also buried the militant's corpse for good measure. Still in his merchant disguise, he walked to Thousand-Thousand and bought a schinga picai off of a former farmer. He used it to ride to the city of Kras-Kras.

Betrayed

Upon entering the city of Kras-Kras, Qubarash was met with fellow members of his species that were fearful of his identity. Confused, he went into the sewers and went to a large maintenance section, which was home to an Ishwari camp. He went to the main tent and was confronted by Tuyati. Tuyati informed his brother that the State of Ishwari was disbanded in order to prevent any further retaliation by Congressional forces. Former Caliph Zul'Arashka abdicated his position and went into exile. To replace the Caliphate, Ishwari militants gathered a group of non-radicalized high priests and forced them to form a council for the new Ishwari Religious Conservation Network. Illicit weaponry was sold, orthodox militant leaders were executed, and many militants were handed over to Congressional authorities.

Qubarash was enraged by all of this and asked Tuyati who was responsible for these extreme, unorthodox changes. Tuyati lifted his sword to Qubarash's neck and revealed that he was the one responsible. He confessed that he was strongly opposed to the primitive methods that the Ishwari had for spreading their faith. He feared that if he didn't change the Ishwari's methods, then the Congress of Caliphs would exterminate an entire culture. But his brother refused to listen to his explanation and stormed out of the tent and exited the sewers. He felt betrayed and was in denial of the fall of the Ishwari state.

A Dark Epiphany

Following the confrontation with Tuyati, Qubarash went to a local bar and ordered tray after tray of drinks. He became very drunk and started having vivid hallucinations of militants battling in the streets. He drunkenly chopped trading posts with his hatchets, attacked commoners, spat at animals and small children, and murdered peasants that were begging for money. He stopped in an alleyway and saw a moving, red, glowing mist. He followed the mist while vomiting. He stopped at a trash pit and fell onto his knees. He sweated faster than he could breath and pounded his stomach to purge himself of the alcohol causing his discomfort. After 10 minutes, he fell to the ground, drifting into slumber. While he was on the ground, somebody threw him into the trash pit. He was caught by a group of ragged peasants and brought into a tunnel made from trash.

It took 15 hours for Qubarash to gain consciousness. The first thing he saw was complete darkness. He lied in darkness for 10 minutes until a yellow-cloaked female entered the chamber with a flambeau. She approached him and lifted him onto his feet. He started into her dark, red eyes and tried kissing her, but she backed away from him.

"Many hours ago, you were killing dozens of people. Why do you want to kiss an unknown woman now?" she asked.

"I... wait, what did I do?" he asked.

"You murdered dozens of people in a drunken state. Your mind slipped away from you and you lost every notion of morality. Many of the people you killed were your comrades on the battlefield who were made peasants by your liberal brother. My associates tell me that they are calling you 'The Butcher of Makem Te'!" she responded.

The cloaked female handed him her torch and led him into a dark tunnel. The walls were made from random materials, such as rotten food, cloth sacks, bone, discarded metal, and broken plastic. They enter a chamber with a pile of dead bodies.

"Here they are. All of them were killed because of your actions from many hours ago. None of them provoked you in any way, you just slaughtered them all. You orphaned children, made widows and widowers of formerly unconditional marriages, took the inspiration from younger generations, and killed tranquility! Honestly, how does this make you feel? she said.

Qubarash ducked his head. He had killed hundreds of Congressional forces on the battlefield. He killed for enjoyment. However, now he was directly responsibly for the deaths of civilians. But he couldn't feel regret. He couldn't feel sorrow. He couldn't feel hatred in himself. He was conceited. He felt satisfaction. And deep inside, he felt jubilation.

"I feel... empowered. I have never felt this good," he said.

The hooded female grimaced in sinister satisfaction. Her plan was set in motion.

"Come with me, Butcher of Makem Te. I have something to show you..."

A New Faith

The female brought Qubarash into the bowels of the trash pit. In the bowels, she brought him to more cloaked individuals that were sitting in front of what seemed to be a red fire.

"I am aware of your curiosity. To answer one of your questions, I am Siora Karashi," she said.

The two sat down next to the other cloaked individuals. The fire was being emitted from a fragmented, red pyramid. However, the fire was not natural. It didn't heat its surrounding environment, it only made it cooler.

"This is impossible! It defies all of the laws-"

"You will find that the Force makes the impossible possible and the illogical logical. It has done this ever since the beginning of galactic history," says an orange cloaked individual.

"Wait, are you trying to convert me? I am off-"

"Your passion for your religion has given you strength. Through that strength, you have gained power. Through power, you have achieved victory in multiple occasions. But as of now, all of your pass victories are meaningless. You have realized that your culture is being assimilated with the rest of our kind. This makes you defeated. You must be victorious in order to break the chains of your enemies and set yourself free. But the only thing that will ever grant you freedom is the Force," said Siora.

"You have been able to utilize the force on numerous occasions, but you have only used inklets of the power that is trapped inside you. We can show you how to free it from within," says an individual dressed in a red cloak.

Qubarash stood up and threw his flambeau at the pyramid, causing the fire to consume him. Within the fire, Qubarash saw conquerors from the distant past electrocuting their foes with lightning spewing out of their fingers. He saw crimson bladed warriors fighting warriors with blue, green, purple, and yellow blades. The crimson bladed warriors seemed to always prevail. Finally, he saw a dark cyborg strangling a hooded man to death and slaughtering white armored soldiers with his red blade. As the blade extinguished, the fire died. Mechanical breathing echoes throughout the cave.

"Find the ones consumed by the darkness. Let them show you how to set yourself free," says Siora.

Qubarash sighed. Throughout his life, he was taught by believers of the Iktun. The Ishwari believed in a false god, a false lifestyle, false principles, and false methods of getting their way. But from this day forward, he would reject the Iktun. He would reject the priests and those who told him lies. He would reject Tuyati and all those he loved dearly.

Modern Times

Qubarash left Makem Te five years after learning of the Force. He became an outcast among his Ishwari comrades and was banished after committing atrocities against his culture. He created a number of fake identities, such as Uboq'nai. This is one of the main reasons why he was never brought to Congressional court for his crimes. Currently, he wanders the known galaxy searching for the wisdom of dark side practitioners. So far, his seven year journey has lead to no avail.
