  • Capital Cities:

[*]Planetary Features: Planet is primarily rural
Qiilura Nanovirus Research Facility [X] - The once proud and technologically advanced research complex employed by the old Confederacy of Independent Systems had fallen into abandonment soon after the end of the great 'Clone Wars' between the Confederacy and the Old Republic. What remains of such a facility is meager and little, insignificant, where once symbols of the Confederate cause waged supreme and uncensored, now only remains brick and rusted metal. The research facility is partially collapsed and has now become overgrown by ivy and the local fauna of the planet of Qiilura, the forest from which is was built in has overtaken the artificial structure and brought it back into the fold of nature. Now, the facility remains abandoned, only sparsely inhabited by a small and insignificant tribe of Gurlanins who use it as shelter and as a hiding place from the larger tribes, the larger clans.

Imbranni - Imbranni once stood as the central capital city of Qiilura and the oh so proud gurlanin people...that was until the legendary warrior, Lothbrok the Mountain came about. He led the burning of the great and prosperous city, leaving bones and ash in it's place where once mighty walls of stone stood proudly. Where large stone battlements stood, now broken formations of stone bricks take their place, overgrown with vegetation over the centuries. Rusted weapons cover the ground where Imbranni stood along with rusted plate armor, symbols of a more advanced past, of a more advanced civilization that was snuffed out in swift retribution.

Crashed Venator [X] - During the waning weeks of the Clone Wars, the Galactic Republic's supply of Venators was beginning to overextended to their maximum as they tried to repel the Separatist threat. During a routine patrol, the Venator-class capital ship, the Vindicator, was ambushed by a small contingent of Providence-class and Munificient-class starships. The Venator, with it's escort of frigates, was able to take down a few vessels before it's escorts and then subsequently it, were shot down. With the hyperspace damage, weapon systems critical, and the engines heavily damaged, the Venator began to get dragged into the gravity well of Qiilura after straying too close to the planet. The Vindicator crashed on the planet, it's attempted landing resulting in more of a crash, though said crash didn't kill everyone on board. It was the subsequent Confederacy droids which killed them, and then the Gurlanins picked off the rest of the droids and the clones alike. Centuries later, the Venator remains on the planet, a ruin of what it once was. Vines now overgrow the vessel, with trees and shrubs poking through holes in the vessel's hull. Where once AT-TE's marched out to meet the coming droids, now they are abandoned and overgrown and rusted with time. The remnants of clones and rusted droid bodies lie the battlefield, the lightsaber of the jedi whom was aboard the vessel was lost somewhere, either taken by the Gurlanins or destroyed or, lost to time and decay. If the saber had been taken, foreign historians would agree that it would have been taken by the wicked force sorcerer named 'Ahas'ethiel' who hailed from and created the religious order of 'Esi Helhiyheim Yuilhei.'

"The Tunnels" -
  • Major Locations:
[Mandalorian Empire Owned] Freed Slave City, "Caledra"
After the Mandalorian Empire took control of the worlds of Qiilura and Ord Mantel, they sought and needed to do something with the slaves that they were able to free from the treacherous fingers of slavers. One such proposition was the establishment of a freed slave city on the recently acquired world of Qiilura. Preparations were made, transports were loaded, credits were gathered, and the process of the colonization of a small part of the planet. Only issue, was it's location. The prime spot for location of such a city happened to be upon the ancestral hunting grounds of large number of small yet ferocious gurlanin tribes. Not seeking a conflict, the Mandalorians sought to find a deal between their two people's. They offered food, medicine, education, weapons, protection. Some tribes took to their offers, while others did not. Despite their protests, the Mandalorians settled down upon the ancestral grounds of "Korqil." And from then on, the gurlanins departed the area in a flurry. Despite repeated apologizes and offered compensation, the same tribes who refused their initial offers, refused their offers once-more. They wanted to keep their ancestral lands, though they knew the folly of fighting outsiders. They had learned from the past the hostilities and dangers that came with 'the others,' the 'sky people,' the 'star walkers.'

The city of Caledra is located among a large patch of deciduous and within in a rather temperate and cool climate with year-long growing seasons and soil that was so fertile that it could be used for years on end possibly, without the need of any chemical fertilizers or artificial substitutes. The city itself surrounds a large fresh-water lake, and then around the city, lies a large circular wall which encompass and protects the entirety of the city from most ground-based threats. With high-rising metal walls, black billowing smoke, and the churn of mechanical parts and electrical grids, the city created a very stark contrast with that of the rustic living of the native people of Qiilura; machine and nature, smokestack and campfire, skyscraper and hut. Despite using a large amount of green energy to minimize the pollution of the planet, large smoke stacks still loom over the city for the needs of manufacturing and creation of war materials to support the mandalorian cause. After all, it was the least the freedmen could do for the mandalorians who graciously provided them a city, a living, a place...a home.

The city itself is exclusively where all of the importing and exporting takes place on the planet, making it a busy hub of trade and manufacturing. Despite the business, the city is rather navigable due to usage of both automobiles which are a rarity within the galaxy, along with the usage of flying vehicles to allow easy access of the city and of products to sell. Architecture wise, the city draws inspiration from grey brick architecture with terracotta roofing with all of the modifications of modern galactic technology included as well, creating a vintage yet modernized appearance for the whole of the city of Caledra.

["Dojogruanm" Horde Owned] Horde Capital City, "Dojogruanhei" ( [X] | Second Image)
The Dojogruanm Horde, or just simple the Dojog Horde, is a warring nation composed of raiders and blood thirsting gurlanins who seek nothing save for the conquest of their homeworld. The common identification for them from a foreigner would simply be 'Horse Rider.' Despite the gurlanin's ability to transform into any form that they may choose, they stray to using another animal to carry them and increase their overall power and strength in battle. What was first seen as weakness for not utilizing their wolf forms, became fear as these 'Horse Archers' descended from the north, sacking all that was in their wake for the simple reason that they could. They were led by the gurlanin whom was the head of house 'Munth,' specifically they were lead by 'Muth'ielheim' the warlord of the North who took many lands and lives during his reign, that was, until his death. After the male's untimely death, his four sons fought over the territory of the 'Dojogruanm Empire,' splitting it up into four new territories. In time, these territories fell or were reunited, though the horse riding raiders were never the same.

"They said the Wenl'o was eight men tall, with the strength of Lothbrok the Mountain."
- [Translated] Ty'ri, seasoned veteran of the Great Winter

The capital of the Dojogruanm Horde, Dojogruanhei, lies at the center of a vast frozen lake to the north atop of a rocky outcropping. Wooden palisades lie the edges of the island city, wooden stakes pointing upwards towards the heavenly clouds in front of them, acting as spears of the horsemen of old when the Horde was great and knew what it meant to conquer. The city itself is moderately large, housing one million people within it's tight confines both above and below ground as well. The capital city grew outwards with time, stretching forth from the rocky island it sat atop. Large pine-wood hut's and steeped cabins lie around the lake alongside stables which house countless horses, ready for combat at a moment's notice. Dojogruanhei is one of the larger cities upon the rural planet of Qiilura, however it is not the single largest. Though, trade-wise, it acts as a haven for fur trading and the trading of meats and even fresh horses as well. Despite how far the Dojogruanm Horde has fallen from military grace, it acts as a vast commercial hub with the fledglings of a once great and powerful, almost continent spanning civilization

[Free Cities] "Valaheriem" ( [X] )

[Unclaimed] The Netherworld Gateway; "Helhiyheim Entrac'a" ( [X] )
The Netherworld Event triggered a thinning of the veil between the world of the living, and the world of the dead. Where once in the past an gate was opened to the Netherworld, the breach had been reopened once-more and now acts as a constant reminder of the treachery and dangers of the usage of the force, a constant reminder as to the reason most of the gurlanin people fear the use of the force so vehemently.

In the past, a entrance to the Netherworld was opened up at this very same spot by a gurlanin of the name of 'Ahas'ethiel' a wicked force user who hailed from house 'Ahas.' He, and his acolytes whom named themselves 'Esi Helhiyheim Yuilhei,' or as is called in the common tongue of the language of Galactic Standard, 'The Netherworld Knights.' They believed the only way to attain godhood and ascend the mortal plane was to venture to the Netherworld. They did this in secret, of course, gathering a large number of followers and other wicked force users for the ritual and sacrifice. A hundred lives were given in blood sacrifice and the rite commenced, and the portal was opened. It is said that Ahas'ethiel entered the portal followed by a few dozen followers and then the portal closed. From thence, the followers that were left behind began to assemble an organization which would last centuries, a religious theocracy to ascertain control over this area as best as they could with their relatively small numbers and relative advanced technology at least, compared to the other gurlanin nations.

The Netherworld Gateway is a five meter tall gateway that spans three meters in width. At first, the portal's frame had been something rudimentary and carved from stone. As time has progressed however, the same stones were treated and chiseled into ornate design, an ornate curved archway stood where once a crude stone gateway once was.

  • Culture:
Society:
The people of Qiilura are a proud people, a strong people, an unflinching people in the face of adversity and strife. They have grown to withstand any storm the tempest of imperialism and foreigners throw at them, they survive the warring among themselves and huddle together among themselves to shield against all that may come on them. The people of the rural world of Qiilura hold true to one principle above all others, the family, the tribe. The home, the family, the tribe comes first above all else, no other things matter in the eyes of the gurlanins save what may best benefit their tribes and loved ones. They keep close with one another, protecting one another and fighting with one another as a pack of predators, working to each their collective strengths whilst covering each weakness that they posses. They form a stalwart forest of metal to brave the coming outsiders who dare to impeach upon their sovereignty. All things that are done by gurlanins on Qiilura are for the betterment of their family, their tribe. If it doesn't benefit their homes, then it is of no benefit to them. They are a hardy and strong people and do not take lightly to lies and deceitful practices meant to circumvent their beliefs and what they hold most dear.

The gurlanin people of Qiilura are a nomadic people, moving from place to place and never staying settled in one place at one time. On rare occasions, few tribes remain fixated in one single place, typically such a reasoning would be ancestral lands or they're part of a larger combined tribal nation such as the Dojogruanm Horde for example. Typically however, the gurlanins move from place to place, acting as warrior nomads. Their relations in regards to other tribes are tense to say the very least. There are instances where tribes are allies or have ritual marriages where two tribes are joined together as one to increase the strength of the new combined tribe and to preserve themselves. However, such instances are rare on Qiilura, in most cases, the tribes will either keep to themselves or fight among one another. They take to raiding, pillaging and taking slaves, and even in some instances, finding mates as well. The gurlanins were forged by a long and brutal history of imperialistic oppression and they grow up without mercy where one has to grow up fast or they die for being too weak and too compassionate to others. Naval attacks, naval invasions, ambushes, even large-scale tribal warfare occurs on a daily basis somewhere on the planet of Qiilura. All to consolidate power, or to settle some tribal feud, or because someone has something that the other wants more than the owner does.

The gurlanin people pride themselves on their tradition of warrior culture. There is no greater honor than to die in combat. The glory of battle know's no greater victory than that of the 'Great Hunt.' The Great Hunt in essence, is the successful raiding of a rival tribe and slaughtering everyone. There is no cruelty in it, no. The slaughter of a rival tribe is needed to save one tribe above the other. If a rival is not flushed out and eliminated entirely, they will always return and come back stronger than before and strike in swift retribution.

After battle, both enemy and ally alike is given a ceremonious, ritual funeral. For allies, their body is placed within a small, wooden landing ship with their weapon clasped in hands. There eyes are closed with flowers and natural herbs and grasses placed around their body and head. This signifies the coffin, the 'ship,' from which the fallen warrior utilizes to leave the 'Lieschu' and enter into 'Vallhaeu,' the home for all great warriors who have fallen in combat. The ship is then sent out to sea, where a lone bowman fires on it with an arrow who's head is encrusted in a natural flammable oil derived from coastal trees, the tip is aflame with fire. The arrow is fired on the ship which has floated out into water, and is set ablaze...signifying the cleansing of the body and the release of the spirit. If a body of water is not nearby, a funeral pier of logs will be built instead. For those enemies who have fallen in combat, their bodies are blessed and offered up as sacrifice to the creatures of the world to feed new life. If a man or woman of great authority and power and respect is killed, they are buried within a funeral mound with the white flowers of the Vl'oo coast planted on top of it.

Daily Life:
Despite all of the fighting and warfare, the gurlanin people do not seek constant and unending war. They live much like most people within the galaxy, save all of the extravagance and theatrics of galactic-standard living. Typically gurlanins will be gathering food from small fields of grass or from wild food sources, to hunting wild animals no matter their size and strength. The need for food is a daily task so it must be attended to, with no refrigeration and cooling technology food must be constantly gathered and then salted to ensure that it stays fresh for days and weeks to come. Aside from the hunting is the construction of new tribe buildings which can range from anything as small as a watering well to as large in scope as a large wooden housing meant to house many people.

Tribal life is not all the gurlanin people heed to. Among the planet of Qiilura exist small tribal markets and even wooden villages where goods can be traded and bought with other good. Take a gurlanin has a wagon of logs drawn by horses, they could sell the logs for some basic weaponry that is worn and has seen it's fair share of rust and battle. Or say a gurlanin sells a horse, they would receive, they could receive items akin to freshly made spears and swords or hunting dogs. The trading of items is arbitrary and there are no specified rules to follow, it is all determined by the 'seller' and the 'buyer,' no strict trading system exists save those established between large tribes.

"I burned Imbranni to the ground, ashes and bones was all I left. No ceremonies. No rituals. No man, woman, or child was spared."
- [Translated] Lothbrok the Mountain, the King without a Throne, legendary warrior of the gurlanin people

Arts:
The art of the gurlanin people is one of refined symbols and sigils and intricate stone carvings. Stone carvings which wrap around large, stone pillars act as story-tellers of the history of the gurlanin people, small stories or accounts of a segment of history, over decades or a year in time span that they can cover. Not much is recorded in regards to the arts of the gurlanin people as little has ever been recovered about it. Generally, the gurlanins of Qiilura utilize symbols, runes, stone carvings, and cave paintings to tell their history and their culture through such means. Cave paintings are intricate and detailed, showing elaborate scenes of battle or of some legendary historical figure who is only remembered through art. Cave paintings and even the occasional stone statue help to showcase the religious symbolism of the gurlanin people, going as far as to show the supposed physical forms of some of the god's of the gurlanin people, namely Kheaga.

Warriors:
Traditional roles of gender have no place on Qiilura. A warrior is not determined by their gender, but by their prowess and combat ability and their will to fight. A woman warrior is just as good as a male warrior and vice-versa. The gurlanins hold no visible gender discrimination, especially in combat, allowing all who are able and willing to fight to join the cause of glorious conquest and pillaging for the glory of their tribe. The warriors of the gurlanin people are proud and hardy and relentlessness in their fight for their home, for their family, for their tribe. They have no honor and know no honor, because to have honor is a sign of weakness. And weakness, will get you killed on Qiilura. Honor only exists within traditional ritualistic combat as to elevate competitors to the level of the first gurlanins who walked after their formation. To be a gurlanin warrior it to know no fear and be confident, overly-confident in most cases in one's own abilities.

They fight with swords and shields and all rudimentary and old-fashioned melee weapons and armors. They are quick and faster than most with an upbringing on strictly nutrition and protein since birth, paired with their light-weight armor and weapons, they remain a force to be reckoned with despite their lack of technological weapons and prowess.
What the gurlanin people lack in technology, they make up for in tactics and sheer ferocity and brute force. They know their home, they know of all the places to hide and all the avenues to attack from. An imperialistic invader may have more advanced technology, though the warriors of the gurlanin people can come from anywhere and everywhere, instilling shock into most enemies and fear with the design of their helmet and the surprise factor of seeing them come out of no-where.

Religion:
The religion of the gurlanins is a complicated matter. Different sects of religious thinking and philosophy exist among the planet, causing a mass of conflicting religions and theories and ideologies that all come into conflict with one another. However there the most prevalent religion is what stands out the most, with all of the other different sects of religious thinking and philosophies being scattered around to smaller islands or the warmer and hotter southern continent. Primarily the gurlanins worship many god's, however they only view one as the creator of all, Kheaga. He was viewed as the creator of the galaxy and of the gurlanin people, being likened to a constellation of a wolf simply called in the common tongue of galactic standard 'The White Wolf.' He used the force as an instrument, not a tool, not a weapon, to shape and bend reality and create all that is known and unknown to the people's of the galaxy. When his work of creation had come to pass, the great creator vanished, leaving behind the instruments of creation the Force. The gurlanins view the force as a divine tool to not be utilized, and to not be thought of as a tool of war. Only those worthy of such a power from the divines are entrusted with such power and even fewer can wield such power...being restricted to prophesies.

When a warrior of the gurlanin people dies, they are sent to "Vallhaeu," a haven for all great warriors who died in combat. Many are chosen, but few are granted the privilege of walking through the gates of Vallhaeu. Those who are not chosen take the spiritual pilgrimage to "Vallheuim." Vallheium is the great divine realm of the warrior, existing as a spiritual plain of existence below Vallhaeu. Here, exists untainted forests and mountains and valleys and plains, all ripe to call a home. It acts as a stepping-off-point into a new life, where fallen warriors can live and hunt as they do please, without hindrance among a vastness expanse that seems to never end, a gift to Kheaga's people.

  • Government:
    Freed Slave City -
  • Gurlanin People - The gurlanin people are a more rural and traditional people. They knew very little to nothing of the greater Galaxy, they know nothing of the refined philosophy which breeds democratic government and they know nothing of the modern technology which can save countless of lives, and likewise, end countless of lives. Thus these rural-living people utilize primitive forms of government. Instead of banding together as one nation, the gurlanins seeks to divide themselves up based off of culture, technology, creed, and 'race.' They live separated into countless tribes both big and small which dot all over the majority of the planet, fighting for territory and living among the peaceful and unpolluted nature of Qillura. Tribes, however, are not the only form of a 'government' that the gurlanin people have. Along with small and big tribes, their exist also large clans, rudimentary nations, and even warmongering hordes. These larger communities are few and far between and they collapse relatively easily after being created. Most of these said large nations, clans, and hordes, collapse within twenty to fifty galactic standard years of formation. However, a few remain alive and prospering for longer.
Tribal Societies: Tribes utilize a regency council to help run operations such as diplomacy, alliances, and mass trading. Only gurlanin elders are appointed to the regency council.

[*]Government Organizations/Nations:
  • Caledra City State; utilizes a representative democracy for it's governmental structure and ruling system
  • "Dojogruanm" Horde; utilizes a primitive regency military council oligarchy for it's governmental structure and ruling system
  • "Esi Helhiyheim Yuilhei;" utilizes an authoritative theocracy led by a singular individual, a new ruler is chosen upon death of of previous one
  • "Valaheriem" Free City;" utilizes a primitive, tribal republic for it's governmental structure and ruling system

[*]Affiliation: Ruled over by the Mandalorian Empire; High level of Autonomy
[*]Wealth: Low
[*]Stability: Low-Medium
[*]Freedom & Oppression: Society is only as free and as open as tribal law and customs dictate and commands. Where-as some tribes may be more progressive and stick close to the imperialistic movements of the Mandalorians, others will stick with their deep-rooted beliefs which can oppress those in their tribe...forcing them away from certain ideas and decisions into what is dictated 'good' and 'bad' in regards to tribal law.

Little is known of the planet of Qiilura prior to the Old Republic era, few records were kept at this point and what records that were kept of prior history were burned within the coming century following the Old Republic era. What can be inferred is that the gurlanin people spread out from their cold continent of birth, spreading out across the sea in their rudimentary naval vessels, many of which either ended up being shipwrecked or stranded on wherever they saw new land. What little technology the people had didn't help in regards to ease of navigation, which includes travel over the turbulent seas of Qiilura. The stranded people either died or developed their own new and unique cultures, allowing sparkling of new culture to come to life from the explorers of old. The gurlanins had spread across the seas, however they were not recognizable to their original people, in the sense of culturally and socially.

As the Clone Wars came to fruition and went with the flow of time, both the Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems came to the planet of Qiilura. Most notably, human colonists came to the planet, killing off gurlanins in the thousands with their advanced technology and creating a deep-hatred from the gurlanin people centered to any and all outsiders. In time, the Republic came to the world to ensure that it would not fall victim to the cause of the Separatists. However, their efforts were for not as they only led to more gurlanin deaths, making their population fall to it's smallest. In fierce retaliation, a handful of gurlanins leaked information about Republic vessels and even infiltrated the Republic to cause mass damage from inside. This was the call to action that the Republic heard to evict the colonists. At first, they dispatched clones and jedi alike to coax the colonists to leave peacefully. Though with mounting clone trooper deaths, they were forced to use lethal force to remove all remaining colonists. This wouldn't be the only time the Republic came into contact with Qiilura. An incident a few months later led to a Venator-class Star Destroyer crashing on the planet of Qiilura after a battle against a Separatist fleet. Any and all efforts to recover the vessel and it's people were in vain...the gurlanins made sure that Qiilura remained their home where no outsiders would trespass.

Such a declaration, however, was ignored by the Galactic Empire which followed and then the Yuuzhan-Vong Invasion which followed henceforth afterwards. Seeing the worth of the gurlanin people, the Empire kidnapped gurlanin children as to use their polymorphic abilities to act as spies against the Rebel cause. In time, the planet came under Imperial control, though it had come under control after multiple delays, being freed from Imperial control shortly thereafter from the Rebel Alliance. By the end of the Imperial Civil War, Qiilura was free to decide it's own fate once more. And then, the Yuuzhan-Vong came. They slaughtered and conquered all, taking Qiilura for their control for many years. The southern tip of the central continent was glassed following the end of the incursion as to eradicate the mass of the Vong structures which had accumulated in such an area. What was once grand valleys with snow capped mountains and winding rivers, was now a desolate, dead, desert. As for those Vong who had survived and were trapped on Qiilura...they fell in due time to the gurlanin people, torn limb-from-limb for their malicious actions

A people came from the east, a mass of gurlanins on large wooden vessels. They were adorned in the thickest of plate metal, with swords sharper than the bite of the defeated Galactic Empire. With them, came all manner of beast. Winged serpents flew above, adorned in hardy scales and thin translucent wings which carried their large muscular bodies. They came from an eastern continent, fifty years after the Yuuzhan-vong left. They were conqueror from a faraway land, rulers of many, the walkers across the sea.

Their initial origin is unknown, though is it rumored that they came from a land far to east obscured by heavy electromagnetic storms given it's relative secretive nature.

These 'Ojjar' (Outsiders) as they became to be called first made landfall on the eastern coast of the central continent, landing on the peninsula which stretched furthest away from the main landmass. It was the closest piece of land for them to land on. Wooden transports beached on the coast of the peninsula, allowing plated gurlanins to set their armored boots atop of the damp, foreign sand. They were not mere explorers, but conquerors. They came from a far away land to look for new territory to add to their domain, and they had found it, ripe for the taking.

Their leader was a gurlanin of great stature and noble birth, standing both tall and proud, unimposed by the restrictions which life had placed on his shoulders. He rode astride the back of a great serpent, a behemoth of a winged beast, a fire-belching wyvern...a dragon. Such a man was called Aeronys Veles, first of his name. He was a conqueror, a great conqueror, the one who united the central continent banner under one flag. He brought new technology to the majority of gurlanin people and brought about a kingdom that lasted centuries. His dynasty saw peace for centuries on Qiilura.

The claiming of the central continent under the flag of Aeronys the Conqueror saw the loss of little life in regards to that of the Ojjare. Their thick metal and sharp swords allowed the cutting down of anyone whom stood in there path. Aeronys imposed the military might and power of the Ojjare on the local gurlanin populace, riding atop his dragon he instilled both fear and respect. Never had such a beast been seen in years past, and it's power was beautiful and deadly. The displaying of the fire-wyverns power, whose name was dragon-fyre, brought about the peaceful subjugation of some tribes, while others fought to claim such mighty symbols of power for themselves. Aeronys and his Ojjare saw much combat, and they suffered the most and won the most in the 'Battle of the Mouth' as it is called in the common tongue. At a large river-mouth, the armies of Aeronys the Conqueror, First of his Name fought against that of a united coalition of tribes led by one Ivan Lotharii, Ivan the Hammer as he was called. The two armies fought, filling the river with blood and the bay that it filled up, making it the Bay of Blood. Thousands were burned alive, all of them screaming, all dying because they did not bend-the-knee. Ivan Lotharii died that day in combat with Aeronys as his dragon burned soldiers from overhead. As the spear which Aeronys wielded pierced through the body of Ivan, a warning was given:

"I curse you this day, your family is cursed. Retribution will come. Your dragons will die. Your dynasty...will die!"

Aeronys conquered the central continent, naming it 'Velera' after the surname of his family. He ruled till the end of his days, he was a wise ruler, a fair ruler. He built the fortress of 'Dragon-fyre' and the city of 'Veleroa' which came to become the capital of his kingdom, a kingdom which would last centuries. With the conquering of Velera, the tribes were organized into groupings by territory, single secular kingdoms who had to obey the will of the ruler of the Kingdom, of the ruling house, House Veles. Each separate semi-autonomous kingdom was ruled by a single family, families who were put to power by Aeronys. Those who were chosen were those who bended to the will of Aeronys the Conqueror, he promised them power untold and royal favor, and he kept to his promise. As he always did. As he always would.

Aeronys the Conqueror, First of his Name, First King over Velera, fell to old age after many decades of rule which saw peace and prosperity. With the death of Aeronys, his heir took the throne, Aeronys, Second of his Name. Aeronys the II ruled for decades, before succumbing to death from his blatant alcohol consumption. During his rule he achieved little save for the decline of his families wine cellar. Aeronys the II had two children, Salysa Veles and Saeva Veles. They both were twins, both of whom were borne with silver-hair and yellow eyes. His two children came to be known as 'The Golden Velysians' loosely translating in meaning to 'The Gold-eyed Swords' while other translated works bring the name to mean 'The Golden Veles Babes,' babes in this context meaning babies or children. While Saeva, who was the male heir ruled, he anointed his sister, Salysa, to be Hand of the King. Together, the siblings worked wonders for Velera, building paved stone roads and kindling friendship between the ruling houses with their house. They helped to unite the kingdoms, going so far as expanding to the eastern continent simply called 'Salveva.' Salveva was a difficult world to manage, with so much desert it was hard to maintain control effectively across the ocean. It was instead set up as a Junior Partner to Velera, left under control by the descendant of the brother of Aeronys. His brother was called Lancel, and his descendant was called Rhael.

In time, all good things must end. While Saeva and Salysa ruled over Velera, rumors began to spread of a relationship that was developing between the siblings, a romantic relationship. Shortly thereafter, Salysa gave birth to a child whom had silver hair and golden eyes...just like herself and her brother. The main religious sect of Velera, simply translated to a name of 'The Faith' at the time, spoke out against the ruler and his sister. They amassed public support from the people of Velera. However before any such things could be deliberated upon in regards to the rumors, Saeva received a most troublesome scroll. It was from Rhael, ruler over the 'Western Kingdom' as it was simply found to be called. It was a declaration of sovereignty twenty years after he came to command of the Western Kingdom. War was declared to keep the power and authority of Velera, if war had not been declared, the power of the monarchy of Velera was in question, as was the name of Veles.

What spies Saeva and Salysa had prior to the betrayal dwindled in the coming years prior to the war. Their were rumors of betrayal and someone who was a danger in the realm who was within the family, those these rumors were thrown away and left un-heard and not acted upon. Saeva believed that there were no issues, no problems. He, as had his sister, had grown a sheltered life in a time of peace and their whole lives up till the declaration of war. They had no known war or betrayal, only one another, only their love for one another.

The great dragon Valiyor was still alive around this time, helping to lead the assault against Rhael the Great Betrayer. He burned cities to the ground and scorched fortresses. Though, the betrayers endured with their intricate tunnel network and deserts and jungles, too great of a land area even for the massive Valiyor to scourge. While Valiyor burned cities, Velera sent vessels across the ocean to invade and conquer. Such an attack, however, was folly. While most vessels landed, further into the war the small desert wyverns who called the desert home attacked the vessels of Velera. They had been tamed over many years and, with the help of the natives, Rhael had gained control of some. With the vessels destroyed, soldiers of Velera were killed swiftly and without mercy.

The war was ended in a victory for the traitorous Rhael, announcing his breaking from Velera to form his own nation.

"We're all liar's here, we're all betrayers...traitors to our noble sentiments. Grandfather would be disgusted at the pair of you, falling over each other,
disgraceful it is. You have insulted the family name for far too long, the two of you are traitors and liars, and must be rooted out, stem and stone."
~ [Translated] Rhael the Great Betrayer, First of his Name, King to the West, Lord of the Datth Sands

Not much else is known of the rule of Saeva and Salysa, save that the child whom looked exact to the both of them became heir and succeeded them. Aeronys, Third of his Name, Protector of the Ojjar, King over Velera, came to power following the death of his parents in a shipwreck off of the southern coast on a diplomatic voyage to speak with the southern princes. Prior to the birth of Aeronys the III, Valiyor the Dragon of Aeronys the Conqueror, the 'Black Steed,' died of old age, having lived centuries and grown to a tremendous size. Vailyor's body fell to decay and bone, it's remains became entrenched in moss and earth in a field not far from Veleroa. The field would, years later, come to be overgrown by trees and the bodies of the dead...'The Grave of Vailyor the Onyx.' Aeronys ruled for many years and saw prosperity, however in time, his prosperity and good was turned for naught into madness. The incestuous relationship between Saeva and Salysa made out of love and to help preserve their heritage has led to such a thing, a disorder of the mind which would spell doom for Velera.

Aeronys' mental decline was slow at first, though it steadily built up over time before exploding in a climatic event. He came into this world and became king as a great warrior, rivaling if not surpassing the swordsmanship skills of his great, great grandfather whom he was named after. He was talked of being the peak of physical condition at the time of his coronation, he was a great fighter, and an even greater ally of the people. He outlawed practices of slavery and went so far as to grant increased autonomy to the kingdoms which fell under the rule of the nation of Velera. He was a good king, he was a good man, he would have made his great, great grandfather proud. He would have, but he couldn't.

The people had loved Aeronys as they had his great, great, great grandfather before. Though unlike him, he was cruel in his punishments. The King upheld the law at no expense with severe punishments, burning people alive with dragon fire. During the reign of Aeronys the III, six dragons came under his control. Ka'xi (Ka-he) the Cannibal became the greatest of his six, with copper scales and jade dragon fire. All six dragons burned hundreds upon hundreds of people, leading to a growing distrust directed towards Aeronys with the rampant executions on such a scale that had not been seen previously. The deaths were, at first, tolerable. That was until the descendant of one Ivan Lotharii came to meet with Aeronys. The descendants name was wiped from all records, though what happened to them was not. Ivan's descendant wanted to break from the kingdom and to be free, a fully independent state. Aeronys, however, saw this as treason...and burned the man alive.

From then came the rebellion which would topple the Kingdom of Velera. Led by Lothbrok the Mountain, cities and towns were burned to the ground. Thousands died, even a dragon was killed. Lothbrok was a warrior of legend, he was the first slayer of the fire wyverns and his strength was unmatched. He stood tall at over seven feet, with arms powerful enough to snap the jaws of a wolf open...killing it. His father was the one whom had fallen from dragon-fyre...and Lothbrok was not going to allow any member of House Veles survive. He marched to Veleroa and laid siege to it. Though, he never came to be the one to kill Aeronys.

The brother of Aeronys killed him, Sakhme Veles...Hand of the King, killed him. Aeronys had been in his throne room, muttering away about burning the city. Sakhme knew better than his foolish and mad brother, a brother...who had set the city to burn. He had uttered forbidden words of the Old Ojjary language, and the smaller dragon were sent forth on wings of black...burning the city. As the city burned, Sakhme turned to his brother and drove a sword through his belly. Aeronys the III was dead. The King was dead, long live Sakhme.
