Intent: The Pyroclastic Flamethrower is intended to be an accompanying weapon platform to be used in tandem with the Prometheus Heavy Armor. It is capably of being directly linked with the large fuel canisters on the back of the Prometheus Heavy Armor to provide for a longer burn time when compared to the normal canisters attached directly to the weapon. Alternatively with minor adjustments through the exchange of a barrel and the removal of the pilot flame; the Pyroclastic Flamethrower can easily become a support platform for fire fighters to use to knock down flames.

Modularity: It has a minor capability to be modified. This capability however is limited as it can only swap out the internal barrels and remove the pilot flame. This can turn the weapon in a delivery system for water when used with the Prometheus Heavy Armor in a fire fighting role.

Material: The Pyroclastic Flamethrower utilizes multiple high grade heat resistant, durable and strong materials in its construction. The weapon is comprised primarily of Dallorian Alloy and Duravlex; both well known for their capability to resist heat and high temperature environments. Likewise the primary fuel canisters that the weapon utilizes are crafted from Quadranium; which itself is used in the construction of starship fuel tanks. The weapon also contains a detachable tub which is crafted from a Quadranium, Dallorian Alloy and Duravlex mix with minimal amounts of Durasteel to ensure its strength and durability. This tub can in turn be attached to the tanks often found on the Prometheus Heavy Armor to provide additional fuel to the weapon.

The Pyroclastic Flamethrower is a utilitarian weapon; not designed or built to look pretty, as it only needs to do the job at hand. The weapon is a large two handed beast that requires a great strength to utilize properly. Furthermore it is designed to be utilized in tandem with the Prometheus Heavy Armor to provide for a support weapon that can be modified into two distinctive uses. The first being its base use as a flamethrower to overwhelm enemies. The second allowing the weapon to be utilized in a fire fighting role.
Like the armor however the weapon requires constant maintenance and care to ensure that it is always working. This is due to the environments it is deployed into and the fuel with which is uses. The heat, soot, ash and other debris can easily disable the weapon and overcome the wielder if it is not properly cared for.
