Night | Rain

The constant tapping of the rain had made the streets of Coronet City even worse. In the dead of night it wasn't uncommon to see peddler after peddler, dealing in the dark slimy alleyways. The cold wind that brewed from the slow moving storm overhead meant things would get tense in the coming minutes. The silent flashing of neon signs along the side paths continued to blink, repetitively they presumed. The small crackle of thunder growled, snapping Xain out of his trance. His eyes moved from the shiny advertisement above and groaned. He normally didn't like the cities, not here, not anywhere. Regardless, he caught a whiff of something. Unsure that could lead him to who he had been looking for. Being brought back from the dead and having no answers as to why didn't sit well with him, even worse he was a monster, the thirst for blood only meant he'd have to be quick about the job.

Tipped off, he gained info on a dealer. the last thing Xain needed was getting caught buying drugs from a worse individual than himself, still Xain knew the truth. He stood up from the bench as the drops of rain slammed into his flapping cloak. Spliting, the cloak revealed what was underneath, a metallic chest guard with a red gleaming jewel at the center. Wiping the water off from his forehead he bit his lip. The people that passed threw him looks of disgust as he walked into the alleyway he had been contemplating about going into. He had to be on guard, monster or not, Xain was informed of the murderers and thieves. It would come as no surprised if he was attacked.

Stepping into the pitch black opening, the rain had faltered, giving him shelter. His white hair finally resting at the back of his neck. A small twitch formed as the stench made him question his actions. There was no time for that now though, however, in light of the stench his eyes adjusted. The once pitch black turned into a daunting hallway of despair and agony. Frail women rocked back and forth, indecent in their euphoric states. Men were brought to a dull state, slipping away into a calmer world, no doubt, a side effect of the drug he had been tracking. The whole thing seemed odd, having a spider web lead to something as dangerous and selfish as a drug called, Glitterstim was crazy. He couldn't believe that whoever left the clue behind would be part of a drug empire, but he had to be sure and that meant purchasing them.

The more he walked into the nasty alleyway, he found less people. Until, he spotted three silhouettes talking in the middle of the walkway. Their voices grew with every step and soon yelling ensued.

"She's dead you bastards! What did you give her!" The man screamed, clearly a user.

"Policy is policy, we can't do anything about it.." One of the two remaining men replied.
"Yea, beat kid, bosses orders!" The last guy demanded.

Xain grinned, who was that comfortable killing people with drugs? It was detestable, but starting a fight would give away his purpose. He had to find the guy calling the shots. Maybe if he was lucky he would find out more about why he was even brought back. His arm fell to his waist, his steel hilt hidden in the backdrop of his cloak as he approached the two men. Walking around them he heard one laugh. Then it came.

"Hey! You. Where do you think you're going!?"

Xain came to a silent pause and turned. The night was just getting started and Xain wouldn't leave without getting answers...

Something meaningfull goes here.
The man sat in a bar of Corellia, observing the rain...Drop, drop, drop . He didn't hate the rain, he just...didn't like it. Anyway, he was happy today, he had quite some deals to do. Being a man with only one dealer, is hard, hard when the dealer, isn't always contactable. Meaning, he had to do the job for himself.

He had arranged some clients today, most of them in Corellia, some, in Coruscant, but those in Coruscant, just wanted legal stuff, today he was looking to sell some Glitterstim. He observed his arounds from the table he sat on. One of his clients, was supposed to be a tall, Twi'lek, with shiny grey skin.

After a sip on his mug, drinking the fine Corellian whisky, he saw him. The man had just arrived in the bar, holding a black suitcase, and seemed naive, too naive. Probably just another student wanting to get a start, he thought. He left a credit chip on the table, and went to approach the man. As he passed by him, he told him the secret code, "High tower.", and continued towards an alleyway nearby. The Twi'lek observed him, and followed him.

As they both arrived, he asked "D..do you have the stuff?", with a tone of nervousism, and loudness to his voice. First buyers were always like that, always afraid of getting caught. The man made a motion with his hand to keep it down and said with a low, but very audible tone to his voice "Show me the money.". He opened the suitcase, showing the credits and said "Alright..let's..let's do the trade.", as he looked behind him, making sure he was not being observed.

Aion passed him a transparent white bag, containing the yellow shining dust, and took the suitcase. Then, they both got out and went on their separate ways. The Twi'lek probably, to consume the dust, and Aion, to go and collect his other paydays.

He was careful not to kill, the loud snap of the first arm made the man let out a grizzly grunt, then a cry. Xain had dealt with the other shady guy, knocked unconscious from his fist. It happened fast and without any hesitation. Now, Xain's foot pressed into the back of his assailant, his arms gripping as he already broken arm.

"I'll break it even more, start talking." Xain's voice was silvery and daunting.

Frantic to try and get loose the criminal squirmed a little more before his head was pressed up against the cold, wet pavement. The tiny clinks of water that found it's way in from overhead continued to bombard the trash cans nearby. The only thing left to do was make the filth talk. He yanked lightly on the arm again a louder 'pop' presented itself to the cold quiet air. Xain could se his breath escaping his lips and just before he added more pressure, the silence was broken.

"Alright! Alright I'l...fft...Tell you alright!? Just let me go....please." The criminal pleaded. "There's this guy, boss don't like him. Travels a lot. Never stays in one place. Taking our business, turns out what we sell is low grade, you have to believe me."

Xain looked out to the crevice wide opening, the city streets still flooded with monsters much worse than him. He grinned at the sound of the man's scratchy voice and twisted, the bone splintered and tore through the skin. A loud scream bellowed throughout the dark alleyway, but everyone continued on. No one cared for the other, screams were common in a place like hell, but even more in a filled city that people took advantage of. The loud yell ended with the filthy man falling into a immediate state of unconsciousness. No doubt, from the pain.

Clenching his teeth, Xain proceeded into the streets of Coronet. He had small details, know he needed a trail. Either that, or someone to buy from that knew where to look. Either way, Xain could feel it, the hunger. The taste of iron reached his buds, but as quickly as it came he shrugged it off, just a little longer and he would have to feed.

There were devils in the night and Xain was one of them...

Something meaningfull goes here.
Aion was getting all wet, "Goddamn rain!", he yelled as his happiness was getting lost alongside the small drops of polluted water that rained from the clouds. Fortunatelly, the spice was kept safe in his impermeable coat, where he had grams of that stuff stored in little 10 grams a piece, and even some with 50 grams, for those high paying costumers, who just wanted a one time deal, atleast they thought so. No one would ever make a one time deal when buying the stim.

He didn't have the suitcase anymore, he had gone back to his V-Wing, and left it safe there. It wasn't the best method, but it was a good method not to raise suspicion of thieves and cops.

Anyway, passing on to his next customer, this one was the best one he would get out of the day, wanting to buy almost all of his Glitterstim, and even in a safe, private place.
As he walked troughout the dirty and broken streets of the god forbbiden land, he looked over to a strange looking man, [member="Xain 'Cruor' Sykes"] . His appearance fit the looks of a regular spice addict. Lifeless eyes, pale skin and an "I'm looking for something" expression on his face.

Aion turned towards him with an half-baked smile on his face, asking "You wanting to buy?"

"You wanting to buy?"

The voice struck him like a bolt of lightning. His slow pace had caught the eye of the dealer and by the time he realized where he was...Xain looked around. He had been walking the city streets for so long that he didn't realize he walked into the 'Red Zone. It was flooded with scum, the worst of worst resided here and the clubs that lined the side of the streets were fronts for hundreds of operations. He didn't even live here in Coronet, but even the people seemed different. Hardened, defiant, unwilling to let go of there vicious endeavors. It was happenstance that the dealer seemed out of place.

"You...Selling..Man?"

Xain's voice imitated that of a stuttering addict, even adding a small twitch to his hands before turning to see [member="Aion Worp"]. He was dressed in dark clothing much like himself, but one thing stood out. His eyes, they were fierce. Clearly this man had been dealing for a long time and not just to regulars. Regardless, Xain asked again, in a nervous manner.

"Well....Mmm...man, you selling..or..or what?"

His silver hair hung over his left eye as he watched the dealer aggitate from the rain. The constant drizzle wouldn't let up anytime soon either. Xain lightly chuckled, adding to the antics of a user and stepped closer.

"What you got?"

He was definitely wanting to buy, but, he had to make sure he wasn't getting a stick up. If he was indeed apart of the police, he was putting up some very good acting.

"Are you a cop? You have to tell me if you are, otherwise it's a setup.", the chances were slim of him being one, Corellia wasn't the best world for those fellows, but you always had to make sure.

He got ready to run if he was, or atleast trying to think of a good enough lie to what he was selling.

"Are you a cop? You have to tell me if you are, otherwise it's a setup."

The thought had crossed his mind. A police life was an honorable way to spend his remaining days, however, he had his own agenda. The only reason he was here, at this moment, was because he wanted to find the source of the spider silk. Glitterstim was a product of an ancient ingredient in particular rituals. The witches of Dathomir had shown him, long ago, that the most simple part of a ritual came down to what you used to preform it. Many things could be used, but in all his time he never thought Spice Spider's webs were a conduit for magic.

A small chuckle reached him.

"A cop?" He shifted his hand over to his left inner jacket pocket. A brown bag housing miscellaneous drugs. Xain had bought plenty to find out more about who was selling Glitterstim. One of the dealers had to have it on them. "I deal many, but use one. So...what do you say?"

Xain stepped closer, the silver, grey lining of his eyes showed a storm of white clouds. Clenching his teeth, Xain waited. If the dealer agreed to sell, he'd get away with a few questions, but if it fell through a chase would ensue. Unsure if he was the man that was selling Glitterstim, he remained patient waiting for the perfect time to make his move, much like that of a cop.

How Ironic...

Aion's face got decorated with a full smile as the man showed him his drugs. It was time to make the deal. "I sell stim. 50 credits per 10g. The cheapest you'll find in all the Core Worlds regin. How much you looking to buy?", he said as he noticed the sky, the rain was stopping. Better for him.

He cleared his impermeable from the rain as he awaited for an answer. The man usually wouldn't make deal on the streets, more in dark hallways, but making quick deals, without drawing much attention, and most importantly getting cash, would change his mind pretty quickly.

[member="Xain 'Cruor' Sykes"]

It happened so quick, Xain wasn't sure how to react. He was selling exactly what lead him here, he needed to think fast. The it hit him, negotiating might give him an upper hand on the intel level. The more you conversed with someone the more you could tell about them. He grinned and knew exactly what to say.

"I want to see the product first. I'm addicted, but I'm not stupid. We should move this to the bridge." Xain said, pointing out the bridge behind [member="Aion Worp"]. "That one right over there. I've got to run to the bank quick and get what i need for the transaction. Sound good?"

It was the perfect stall, he assured Aion the buy, even better it gave him time to exploit the man for what he needed. It was a win, win. Unless of course Aion saw a problem with the request. The he hadn't thought about. Xain tensed lightly, hoping everything would go smoothly. A slight twitch added to his acting, he had a future in it, if he wasn't a monster. He tapped his foot lightly on the wet ground, for an extra display. His silver eyes stared into Aion's and before either of them moved, Xain waited patiently. If the deal went south, Xain knew he would have to use force to get his answers. Something he was trying to avoid, violence, even though he was a product of it; was something he hated.

Something smells bad in this., the man thought. He moved his head towards the bridge to see a fish market. He then turned his whole body, and from one of his various pockets, got out a small bag, containing fake glitterstim, what he always used to show without knowing if they had the money to pay up. With the bag hanging out of his hand, sticked out from his body, making it clear for [member="Xain 'Cruor' Sykes"] to see, he started moving towards the bridge.

The man was clearly an heavy addict, or he hadn't taken his "medicine", in a long long time. Anyway, Aion didn't care, he just wanted to make some quick cash on the spot, and move on into his next job.

He already had the money. He watched carefully as [member="Aion Worp"] walked toward the bridge. Xain could feel the situation getting slightly tense and quickly walked to the building nearby, the bank. He walked to a metallic machine and pressed onto the keypad. Of course he had no idea what he was even doing, since he came back from the dead, advancements in technology was superb and beyond his comprehension. Pretending to access his funds he thought about the deal. He would have to start asking question once he reached the bridge. Turning away from the machine he made his way to the bridge.

The steps that led up to it were filled with fish guts and tarnished knives. The fish market was a dirty area to be in. Ships came in and out from the port side, distracting many from focusing on what was going on around them. As he reached the top the dark tunnel that presented him made him stepped slowly into the darkness. A strange man in agony sat on the edge of the benches that lined the middle of the walkway. A few others sat with their back propped up against the walls, coming down from their highs. The place was infested with fish guts and druggies. It was sad, but the truth should in the crevices of the city.

Reaching the Aion, Xain walked up to him. Three words slipped from his mouth like a viper in the night.

"I got it."

Xain smiled, what came next was to be decided.
