Purple haze. Giant mushrooms. Dank dark environment. Lizard people. Dangerous. At least it is cool. What could possibly go wrong?.
Aerin's foot steps trod very lightly as she progress through the giant fungi. The ground under foot soggy wetting her leather boots as the brown murky water oozed up over them. The sound of avian creatures screeching overhead alert to her intrusion. The sun, unable to penetrate the canopy danced it's light on the upper levels, only permitted to send it life giving raise as pin points to the vegetation.
It is colourful, fungi of all shapes and sizes decadent in their show of opulence. The smell thick in the air, thick and organic nice to the nose, if you liked that smell. Which lucky for Aerin she did. Many hours she had spent on Midvinter hunting for truffles hidden beneath the pine nettles of the forests. But there is no hiding here, open and on display.
Soon she approached a clearing, long grass surrounded what appeared to be a structure made from organic matter. Her force senses informing her the place is alive, an energy pulse soft and low as if sleeping but with a sense of danger. She gave it a wide berth.
With the living structure to her back, she progressed along a winding path, deeper into the forest and heading back to the small village she plans to stay the night. A small pack on her right shoulder, filled with water and food, her left shoulder carried her bow and quiver. Only a brown jacket covered her shirt hemmed to the waist. Brown leather trousers the only protection for her long legs. A sword on her hip, training blade and lightsaber.
Progress through the forest, seemingly slow to onlookers as all six foot of her bend to pass under low branches. But her long stride covered ground quickly but still she had an hour to complete before reaching her destination. Aerin paused for a break, finding a fallen tree now covered in moss, she sat to take respite and food.
