  • Description: Overlooking what almost looks like a giant Sarlaac pit or open mine, Purgatory Prison is a heavily fortified and guarded building designed to hold prisoners of war, war criminals, political prisoners, crimelords and the like. No one was ever happy to wind up there, except for those that could gain a profit from it.
POINTS OF INTEREST

Entrance: Every visitor/inmate was greeted by heavily armed guards and vessels that patrolled the perimeter and met with suspicion. No one was gained entry until properly vetted by security.

Basic Cell Block: Here is where the majority of the inmates reside. Nets are provided to prevent debris from falling to the guards below in the case of a riot. Visibility is at maximum for the guards to see what's going on at all times, giving them the advantage in shooting their targets if need be.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION

Purgatory Prison began as a personal project of Lucinda. Not only could she use it to create a lot of money to fund her projects, but it was also a good way to eliminate those that she deemed unacceptable and banes of society. Located in the dangerous and secluded area of the Redoubt Cluster, Purgatory Prison was soon deemed to be one of the toughest prisons to get in and out of, making escape and rescue nearly impossible.

Force Users were kept in cells that had sounds cannons capable of disrupting their abilities to focus.

Inside of Purgatory was almost as bad as without. The inmates were at times encouraged to create gangs within themselves and to fight to the bitter end. At times bets were placed among the guards as to who would die in the week. Death sentences were frequent and hardly anyone spent more than 10 years there unless a significant payment was made.

People of all ranks and and governments resided within the prison walls. It didn't matter if they were good guys or bad. Political prisoners were a hot commodity and their relevant safety was also dependent on the credits provided.

The guards were never pleasant, except among themselves. Personalizing or fraternizing with the inmates were strictly forbidden. Any guard breaking the rules was either expelled or dispatched.

Cameras were placed in every corridor, entry point and mess hall for better security. But with the high radiation levels outside of the prison, running away wasn't entirely survivable. The open pit was also a deterrent as anyone falling into it was sure to die. Sometimes that was a better option for some people.

All of my source links, character links, wookiepedia links have somehow disappeared from my sub! Must have been when I made an edit to fix one bracket. I just didn't notice until now. This has happened to me a few times now. I think that Chaos hates me >.<

I was just doing the mass approvals today but will hold off here- would you like me to leave this here while you fix it or would you like it moved to pre-codex?

Please leave this here so that it's easier to find. All my history for the links is on my laptop. I hope to get on that in the next day or two.

Thanks

After multiple tries, I think that I FINALLY got all of my links in without them disappearing. Such a hassle as each edit makes some of them vanish.
