Description:
An experimental Carrier Cruiser/Interdictor built by Rinzler-Zetta as a prototype for a new class of support ship, this is a cruiser built to hang back and support other ships with point defense and fighter cover. It can also lock other ships in the battlefield with it’s gravity wells, preventing them from escaping into Hyperspace. This starship is currently acting as Kyle Raymus’ command ship and is the only ship of this class that exists. Due to it being an experimental ship, not all of it’s systems have been optimized and most of them constantly require repair and tuning. This starship has plenty of hangar space, but it’s weaponry is lacking. It only has a few long range turbolasers, not enough to take on another cruiser 1v1 without it’s fighter complement.

This warship utilizes many new and experimental systems which are relatively new to the Galactic Market. These components are hard to find, and until Rinzler-Zetta is capable of mass producing all of this technology, only a handful of starships of this class will exist. This however is a prototype for said class, and will be the only ship like this that shall exist.

The ship is fairly large and is built for a carrier-interdictor role. As such it has 2 large hangars on either side of it's hull, each capable of housing 3 squadrons of starfighters. It also has space for 2 transport shuttles. It also has 40 anti ordnance missile launchers which are controlled by seperate targeting computers. These emplacements are small and require missiles without payloads, so if the ammunition racks for these weapons are hit, no serious damage will be sustained. The gravity well projectors are built into the lower hull of the cruiser and generate a lot of heat, and as such they require a lot of coolant in order to sustain the interdiction field for long periods of time, a problem solved by adding a coolant circulation pipe running from the primary generator all the way to the gravity well projectors.

Good morning,

The maximum length a Tier 2 company can produce is 500m. I recommend changing the producer to be the Minor Faction you are making it for, as they can make unique ships up to 1000m.

Please link the technology for this subsystem?

That shield projector is a ground based installation that isn't mobile.

What I would recommend is to find another shield projector that is ship based and link that. You can look through the factory, if you click on Approved Submissions in the Technology forum you can search on items like "shield", "shield projector", and variations. You can also do a google search for the same, I'd recommend adding in star wars so you can limit the results to stuff that may be applicable.

If you want to have it specifically be a smaller version of the death star one, as it would be significantly altered from the original intent of the technology (a ground based installation shielding an orbiting station altered to a mobile platform projecting around other mobile entities) you can submit a technology for it for yourself.

Edited. Now using this technology, equipped with ion drives and housed within the ships cargo/deployment hold. They can move around on their own and project a field around the ship they "orbit". The bigger the ship, the more sattelites are needed to project a full shield around it. 1x for frigate and smaller, + 1 for each higher size class.1 satellite= average shielding for a frigate.

Awesome, looks like a good idea that'll do a lot of what you had wanted.

Looking at the rest of the sub, it is a little bit tipped towards overpowered.

One more good weakness should help balance this out, in my mind.
