Project Juggernaut Pt 2

Miss Blonde

Trying to be straight in a crooked Galaxy
Later that day after lunch it was time to get down to business, and by business it was time to melt down the phrik ore and refine it before sending it off to Relovian to begin the crafting process. For now the time had come to do some smelting. So undressing from her thick duster the woman unbuttoned her dress shirt and placed her black tie in a locker. Getting dressed in a pair of thick canvas work overalls and jacket she stepped out of her changing room and would wait in the hall outside of the refinery holding a datapad.

Looking down at it the pad held some mock up sketches of the power suit and the weapons that would go with it. She smiled at the sight of her potential creation and doodled a bit more on its designs. A few grenade launchers, shatter cannon, concussion missiles, and perhaps a heavy laser cannon to go with it. Miss Blonde kept doodling and would keep her mind focused on it.

"Waldo how are we looking on the phrik ore?" She asked on her comm unit.

"It's waiting for you in the refinery ma'am." Waldo responded on her communit.

Now [member="KeCholo"] had to show up and they could get started on talking specifics and getting this phrik refined.

Q, airdrop me another linen shirt, box of cigars, my old blacksmith clothes and mask, and see if you can find my beskar tools. Should be under my bed. Coordinates are attached. I'll be down here for a while.

A simple flyby was all it took, Qaeth dropped off all of the things Ke'Cholo had requested. Ke'Cholo took up the large durasteel box of items and toted them back to the room [member="Miss Blonde"] had given to him for , presumably, a few days. Ke'Cholo lifted open to old, rusted, dirty metal box to find a set of beskar black smithing tools he had used while at the Techno Union. While not widely known, Ke'Cholo had worked in a metal working shop in his spare time with the Union. He had become quite experienced.

Stepping out into the hallway with his tools, he saw Blonde. Ke'Cholo would glance down at his dress, it was odd to see himself in his old smithing uniform. It was composed of a black jumper covered by some sort of black stained leather bib or overall. He didn't bother changing his boots, for his Bloodwalker boots were good enough for anything. Atop his head was a welder's mask he had been gifted during his final days with the Union, it was matte black. Ke'Cholo stood and looked at Blonde, old briefcase of tools in hand.

''Let's get going''

With her head still focused on her datapad she drew up every little attachment to the power suit and would continue to do so until [member="KeCholo"] approached her. Looking up she gave him an upward nod of acknowledgement before stepping forward from the wall she was leaning on. The woman tucked her datapad to the side then would address the man.

"We're refining the ore for shipment, then we're gonna take it over to the corporate facilities to start the crafting process." Miss Blonde said to Ke in a professional voice.

"With any luck we'll be out of here in a few hours." Miss Blonde would then face the door and walk past it into the refinery.

Bright lights shined over head and the entire place looked professional and well furnished with the some of the best smelters, forges, and cooling systems. The woman looked towards a crew of workers and rolled her hand in a motion for them to get things going.

"Ke, the ore is coming in on the right. Load those into the smelters and while they melt we'll talk more about this suit." Miss Blonde said with a smile.

Ke'Cholo entered the room and set his tool case against the wall by the entrance. He observed [member="Miss Blonde"], who was not wearing a mask. To avoid looking like a 'sissy', Ke'Cholo took off his welding mask and haphazardly threw it next to his tool case creating a loud clang. He then turned around to see Blonde, who was already working and commanding the crew.

Ke'Cholo rolled up his sleeves and started moving the larger pieces of ore too heavy for the petite woman or her crew. Being the hulk he was, the pieces of ore were little problem. After several minutes of loading, the smelters were filling up quite nicely. Ke'Cholo took a small break to light up a cigar, but quickly got back to work.

''So Blonde, how in the universe have you become this wealthy?'' he asked the woman

"Cut throat mentality and sleepless nights." Miss Blonde said as she snapped her finger over to a few droids.

A crew of droids walked over to [member="KeCholo"] and started to help the man load up the entirety of the phrik. Once it was in the smelters Miss Blonde cranked up the heat and let the furnaces go to work, she'd make sure everything was refined to the point of the phrik being pure and perfect for the upcoming project.

"However this is me being less successful, I had billions once. Sat atop the galaxy and was as wealthy as Danger, but when you have kids you got to give up money and power for them. You've met my husband Tin Man, we get to spend more time with the kids now and I'm not gone every other rotation." Miss Blonde would then walk over to the end of the smelter.

Taking the tungsten draining pipe she walked the suspended pipe over to the caster where it would be poured into the ingot mold. The pipe would filter out any imperfections from its mesh system inside and would let the pure metal pour into the casts. After the pipe was set miss blonde would walk over to Ke and look up to him.

"How'd you get so big? And don't say it was from eating your wheaties and spinach."

The pipe began to drip molten metal into the ingot cast. Ke'Cholo watched the slow drip of the metal turn into a steady flow. His zen like trance was interrupted by [member="Miss Blonde"] asking him about the his past. While his past wasn't something he particularly liked to discussed, he showed no physical sign of it.

''The Union took...special interest...in me. I was born abnormally large, the Union only enhanced this with drugs, cybernetic enhancements, and forcing me to train for hours on end. They turned me into a perfect solider of sorts, they just messed up the whole unwavering loyalty part.'' Ke'Cholo cracked his knuckles, laughed, and continued.

''My mother died in child birth and my dad wasn't worth the hair off a dead bantha. I had to make my way through this galaxy, the Union helped me through, but they could only take me so far. Now-a-days I have racketeering operations on several planets, extortionists in several companies and I'm working on making a company of mercs under me. Just need funding.''

"Sounds tragic." Miss Blonde said as she looked over to the cast for the ingots.

As the molten metal poured Into them filling them completely the woman walked over towards a lever and pulled it sending them down a conveyer belt and bringing up the next cast. The liquid metal that proceeded down the line would be quickly cooled while the liquid metal continued to pour into the new cast.

"But with funding I'm sure we can work something out, but you do seem to have a fair amount of funds from what I have seen. But I've always had the experience that mercs are best used occasionally. Most have a hunger in them that can't be sated in an area where one is content. But you seem to be on the level." Miss Blonde would then look back over to the Duros and point down the conveyor.

"Ingots are super cooled down the line. Get those droids to start loading them up." The woman said as she pulled the lever again sending the next ingot mold down the line.

''Get to it.'' Ke'Cholo said as he casually kicked at one of the worker droids. He and them continued to load the ingots onto a nearby cart, while he spoke to [member="Miss Blonde"]. He was very interested to learn more about her. She was a strange individual.

''I get you had kids and all, but kids don't cost billions of credits. What else happened.'' Ke'Cholo asked this as he loaded more and more ingots. There got to be a very steady pile of them, until he had to get a new cart. He pondered how effective, this suit he was going to have, would be.

He chewed on his cigar until it got close to the end of it's short life. and he grew dissatisfied with it. He yanked it out of his mouth in a moment and threw it in a nearby waste bin, landing with a satisying thud.
