[Private] The Way of the Vaapad

While observing people around the temple as she liked to do during her free time, Jyoti had picked up on Jarael, in particular. The Padawan seemed to favor Form VII, particularly Vaapad. While more a widespread practice among Jedi today, it was still such an oddity because of the aggressive mindset it required, and a careful balance managing more savage impulses while using the form. It wasn't just a combat form, but a whole philosophy.

Jyoti worried about Jarael using it. There was much conflict in the woman's heart, and at times in battle, she could come off as quite bloodthirsty. Always seeming to look for a fight. There was a legitimate chance she could finally go over the edge.

The Jedi Master wouldn't let that happen if she could help it, so she had scheduled some personal time to meet with the Arkanian and maybe finally start working out that venom. Of course, she felt like doing it the Echani way. Jarael seemed more receptive to action over words anyway.

She arranged for them to meet late afternoon by the lake, one of the Echani's favorite spots in the campus. She had gotten there first, meditating upon daily events in a lotus position on a boulder. She wore her trademark white robes, but a sheathed foil was tucked between her arms resting against her shoulder.

She was bored. Jarael had no love for that campus, it was too pretty, too peaceful, she missed Coruscant and the smell of lava in Mustafar, people were too friendly, she actually want it to run off to some strange planet to do strange things, even so, the Arkanian accepted with a smile in her face when Jyoti made the summon to her attendance in a private meeting. It wasn’t everyday a small timer like her had the opportunity to meet the Silver Jedi Grandmaster.

As she walked by the area, the woman focused her blue sharp eye in the lake. It was a beautiful thing, a marvellous and natural thing born from years beyond count, a true sight to behold with her sore eye.

When approaching the Grandmaster, Jarael made a small and formal measure, standing back straight, joining both hands beneath the long sleeves of her dark robe and saying in a calm and formal tone.

“Master Nooran, i was told you want it to see.”, standing there, her one eye was looking straight to the white hair the Echani had, thinking how similar that races was with the slaves of the Arkanians in her homeworld.

Jyoti hopped off her boulder to address the Arkanian, who presented herself with a respectful bow. Being a member of the supposed progenitor race of the Echani, the two shared similar features, but of course it was easy to tell the two apart by their hands and eyes. Four to five digits, blues eyes to silver.

"Greetings," she replied with a small bow of her own. "Yes, I called for you. I've seen you around the Rest here and there, and even on some field missions in the past, but I haven't known you to interact much with your peers. I thought as we finally had some down time that we may get to know each other better."

She motioned for Jarael to take her side. "Why don't we walk for a bit?"
