SPECIAL FEATURES
- Independent targeting system - This is not a separate system, but once an enemy vessel is targeted for fire, the primary systems reroute to this arc, allowing targeting to go back to other potential targets.
- HAVE GUN WILL TRAVEL: Capable of having multiple different types of weapons mounted. (No Proton Beams)
- FAST TRACKING: Once you are targeted, this system will keep you targeted until you are out of range, or destroyed.
- CAN'T STOP ME: Designed to keep fire on an enemy vessel while you move your ship to from "forward" to "broadside".
- LIMITED RANGE: Can only be mounted on the "Fore" or "Aft" of a vessel, and can only track to broadside (either "Port" or "Starboard" depending on the side it is mounted.
- POWER DRAIN: These are not meant for consisten fire, but to keep at pressure on an enemy vessel as a ship moves into position.
- ONLY 2 PER SIDE: Due to the Power drain, there needs to be separate generators, and only four total (two per side).
One thing that Captain Halpern (retired) noticed in testing new designs of vessels was the problem in keeping a target tracked while the Hidden Path vessels move from either "Forward" or "Aft" to "Broadside" (their strength). This will not change the outcome of the universe, but it will give that much of an advantage that they need, by keeping constant fire on a target.
