Hohenstein Hive
The capital of the planet, Hohenstein Hive, is an urban region populated by roughly 35 million people. The hive is a County governed by a Count and one of the most populated fiefs in the Principality. Centered around the Deflector Shield Pylon which extends its protective bubble around the entire city, the main building, Tower I stands right next to it, reaching even slightly above the shield with its up-most levels. The hive is protected by a massive wall of concrete and durasteel with several gates opening to the surrounding areas. The most notable industry in the city is the refinement of ore, the steel production and home to one of the biggest vehicle productions of Volterravan.
[*]Castle Eylau
- The palace of the Count of Hohenstein is located near the hive, a few kilometers upward the stream which runs around the plains of Hohenstein. The palace is a beautiful place situated on the top of a barrier lake, its terraces having a extensive view on the Hive and the surrounding plains. The Gothic style of the architecture is build with durasteel reinforced stone of the nearby quarries, the roofs covered in blue bricks and gilded figures. The castle itself hosts a small hangar, hundreds of different rooms, an own bunker which reaches beyond the lake and two main entrance which are reached via the barrier wall.

[*]Numerous Hives
- Spread around the entire globe are more hives with each having a different structure and governed by their respective nobles. All share the same martial defences and planning, designed to be able to withstand sieges and assaults.
[*]Non-Urban Industry
- The lands between the hives are mostly covered with agricultural holds, providing the required food or various resources to supply the large population centres. Regions which were deemed as not cultivatable are left alone and therefore some regions on the planet are rather untouched by industry.
[*]Military Presence
- The surface presence of the military is everywhere visible. With countless barracks, fortresses, citadels and outposts being spread around the globe, country- and urbanside, there is no doubt in the martial prowess the planet has to offer. Reserve arsenal and air fields spread around remote areas of the planet to enable a secret presence.
[*]Orbital Dockyards
- The Volterravanite Dockyards are an own fief governed by a Grand Duke. They are an array located just in the orbit of the capital planet of the Principality, housing millions of workers, engineers and soldiers. Capable of building multiple capital ships at once as well as several escorts as well, they provide the mainstay of the Combined Fleet Forces. Equally protected by shields and defensive armament, they are neither very easy to capture.
[*]Hiperion
- Hiperion is the second planet of the system and an ecumenopolis, originally sharing the same features as its twin Volterravan. Yet the entire surface is now covered by megastructures and massive city-blocks. The most notable building is the government district which holds the actual government and Grand Board of the Principality. The planet holds massive industrial areas covering millions of square kilometers, mainly providing equipment, vehicles and armament for the military.
Gravity: Standard - Climate: Temperate - Cold
- Primary Terrain: Ecumenopolis
- Atmosphere: Type I
[*]Feodors Landing
- Feodors Landing is a mining world at the outskirts of the system. The deposits of ore, minerals, rare materials discovered on this planet are a major supplier of the entire Volterravanite industry. Added by its four moons which equally provide a strangely high amount of resources, all five objects are rated as unstable by Astro-Physical Research Department.
Gravity: 1,13 x Standard - Climate: Freezing
- Primary Terrain: Rocks, Mountains, Caverns, Polar Capes
- Atmpshere: Type III
POPULATION
- Native Species: Humans
- Immigrated Species: None
- Population: Heavy ~ 22 billion (Volterravan); Crowded ~ 250 billion (Hiperion); Medium ~ 300 million (Feodors Landing)
- Demographics: 99,99% Humans
- Primary Languages: High Basic, Basic
- Culture: [ General overview of the inhabitant's behaviors. This should include information about daily life, society, arts, sports, religion. ]
- Government: Feudalistic Stratocracy
- Affiliation: Principality of Volterravan, Gideon Vandeleur
- Wealth: Medium The society is built around feudalistic and aristocratic principles, sharing capitalistic goals, but spends most of its fortune and income on the military.
- Stability: High. Due to the eradication of criminals, rioters and rebels at the end of the Era of Strife, the planet is extremely stable due to the strict system of feudality and military presence, the order and stability is maintained very strictly.
- Freedom & Oppression: Oppression is not apparent, but due to the predominant military presence in society and culture, as well as the omnipresent garrisons and barracks, there is not much doubt that any uprising would be met with extreme force. Yet the population is protected by a constitution which values justice, law and the freedom within its laws. Because of the former chaos and destruction caused by disorder, the population is very supportive towards the strict and noble rulership. One noteworthy part of ideology and culture is the belief in the superiority of humanity.
- Military: [ Describe the military capabilities of this planet. Is it completely demilitarized? A fortress world complete with heavy defenses? A space-faring world with a substantial navy? Is it a hive of scum and villainy with no discernible defense structure other than what it's inhabitants have to offer? Or maybe due to low tech the people here are still in the bronze age. ]
- Technology: [ A description of how technologically advanced the planet is relative to the galaxy. If there is nothing of note, simply put ‘Galactic Standard’. ]
